Wish we'd known about this place earlier! Chill cafe serving Taiwan style eats and boba tea. We had the popcorn chicken -- with the spicy seasoning, very likely the best I've ever had -- and scallion pancake. Milk tea with coffee jelly and mango-pineapple jelly tea rounded out a perfect light lunch. It also helps that the sleek yet comfortable decor encourages a relaxing meal.

Food was delicious and service was good! The taro milk tea was super tasty. The place was clean and had cute decors.

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and is quite a nice location for a dinner date or to celebrate a special event. You either order take out or dine in. We ordered take out on this visit; ordering the Chicken Fried Rice, the Fried Chicken Wings, the Pepper Shrimp, the Chicken Corn Soup, and the Hot and Sour Soup. Everything we tried was exceptionally good. My favorite dish being the Chicken Corn soup. Overall, the food is really good and worthwhile checking out of you are in the Chicago area. We rate this place a solid 4.5 stars out of 5.

We were trying to find a place to eat dinner nearby and noticed them which were practically next door. We ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Ribeye Steak with Mushrooms for carry out. The prepared the order quickly and within a few minutes, the order was ready. Upon picking up the order, we noticed how nice the establishment was inside. The Shrimp in the dish was jumbo shrimp which was a nice surprise. Both dishes were only okay due to lack of flavor. They were skimpy in the number of soy and sweet & sour sauce (2 of each). They were nice enough to give us 2 fortune cookies (one cheated me out of a fortune, LOL). NOTE: They have a Chicago location in Chinatown as well.

Lucky Panda is one of the many restaurants in strip malls in this part of town. Has a lot of the common items. There's beef and chicken of course, as well as tofu for healthy options. A lot of customers seem to get carryout. It's got a pretty big dining room if you want to eat inside. There's also a gaming section with a few slots. As for the food it's basic. It's about $14 for an entree. Portions are kind of big though. Has some that are spicy. We got the Kung Pao Tofu. Came with quite a few pieces of tofu in it. Too bad these were kind of burnt and tough. Had a good variety of vegetables including carrots and peas. The meal was pretty okay but they didn't understand we were eating in and they made it to go, so we ate it out of the bag at a table. For sure there's many Chinese restaurants that are much better. It's located in the one strip mall on Eola. There's a few options with tofu for vegans and vegetarians.

The portion was clearly reduced but the price stayed the same. This place has always been consistent for me so the change was frustrating. I understand costs go up but smaller portions without any notice isn't great. Has anyone else noticed this or was it just a one off? I'm hoping this isn't a new trend because I've otherwise enjoyed ordering from here.

I do get DoorDash occasionally, and most of the time it is out of convenience. I do have (via a credit card) a free DashPass account, so I take advantage of the lower fees and zero delivery charge whenever I can. It was pouring out, I felt awful for the delivery person. But, I went with Shrimp Toast, the Egg rolls (2 orders), and the Beef Chow Fun (Small). First of all the deal they offered on these items was really great! All in, including tip, the cost of the meal was $31. Eating in a hotel room poses its challenges, but the restaurant packed the food in containers where you could eat from them easily but also it kept the food warmer since it was still in the "to-go" boxes with the metal handle. I love shrimp toast, so whenever I see it on a menu I'm like Pavlov's Dog. I get that, and who doesn't love egg rolls. Since Covid, most Chinese restaurant's pricing has gone aggressively up- so I look for deals like this on DoorDash whenever I can. The delivery driver brought the meal to my door, there's an overhang by the front door and the hotel only has 3 floors...my hotel room was so close to the elevator the driver had issues finding it ha! Anyway, I thought for the price, the food was tasty, generous, and exactly what I needed for the moment. I would recommend ordering from here, but look out for those deals online where you can get them.
