Mongolian Beef, Mango smoothie with mango popping boba, Crab rangoon
EL R.

This was so gas... some of the best chinese takeout i've had in a while. The beef was higher quality than I expected and the smoothie was larger than I thought.

Inside Pot sticker WHAT is that meat?!!!

Used to be about the ONLY decent food in area. Have eaten here off and on for over 6 years and usually take out. Last summer I stopped INSIDE the restaurant and I felt very uncomfortable in the big open boxy feel with MASS CLUTTER all up on the wall with all restaurant supplies. First impression- big school cafeteria? A restaurant should be warm cozy feel (like date night). There are simple solutions to store and hide that clutter. We ordered fr take out last night after a very busy day. I took a pic of the meat inside the pot stickers and as I was eating it I said to my husband "WHAT IS this meat?!" I eat meat and believe me (in my opinion- I didn't know WHAT it was)! Mongolian beef. Usually the best item there right? MOSTLY all RAW onions!!! For that price I could have fricken cooked my darn self!!! I called them and they wanted us to drive all the way back there to either do a replacement or refund. I put it in the microwave fr 3 mins w.a tight lid and they were STILL raw! Tells you how raw they were served to me. I decided to DROP this restaurant FOREVER. Dear Lucky Bamboo restaurant: when your customer's order food from your place we are TRUSTING that we are PAYING for GOOD quality food that is cooked and NOT QUESTIONABLE as of to what it is! We have WASTED our good hard earned $ on yr onions and rice and am very pissed and will NEVER ever look at you again. When I called to complain this should have been taken CARE of RIGHT AWAY. Now you LOST a customer of 6 years. Bye bye

Fresh and delicious. We usually do delivery but picked up the other day and we were pleasantly surprised at how cute the restaurant is.

We went for Happy Hour and were seated at the bar because all of the tables were apparently reserved. We were greeted by Adam who was the only server in the bar. For Happy Hour they have a few drink specials and all Small Plates are half off. We asked about GF options and he was not too helpful but we made it work. My wife started with a Ginger Pina Martini with grilled pineapple infused vodka. She loved it ,I thought it was too sour. I tried their Toshi Old Fashion with Iwai 45 which is a Japanese blended whiskey. Very good. For our small plates we had Spicey Tuna Crispy Rice,Chicken Lettuce Wraps,BBQ Lollipops and a Philadelphia Roll. Hands down our favorite were the BBQ lollipops..sliced New York strip wrapped around lemongrass with a delicious sauce. On Tuesdays they offer half price rolls which makes us want to go back as some of their signature rolls sounded amazing. Plenty of parking is available and reservations are suggested..even for Happy Hour.

The duck bao buns came two per order and had a sauce to melt the flavor of the duck in your mouth. The shishido peppers came with a sauce that was creamy and complimentary. They have sushi boats that come with four rolls, but I opted to eat three. All of our selection of rolls was pretty and filling. Some ordered hot plates and the portions were grand and they were delicious. We went for a birthday and ordered two desserts. The ube cheesecake didn't have the blueberries on there, as the photos suggested it would, but still tasted great. The chocolate peanut butter cake was also good, but wasn't considered a favorite. Our server Ayden was helpful and got our food out quickly. His service was pretty good and he was friendly. This was lively for a night that was -10 Fahrenheit! It was so busy, so that tells you it's a great restaurant, and I agree.

The best hot pot in the burbs, hands down…read more The location is a fun re-purposed 70s build. It is a cozy location with a lot of space. Always feels welcoming and warm (especially in the winter). I cannot say more than all of their food is delicious. The meat is great and fresh, the buffet veggies are tasty, and the extras they offer (sesame balls, spring rolls, etc.) are a nice touch! You can't go wrong with any of the broths, but don't be shy to try the spicy. It is not overwhelming and adds great flavor. The staff is great and always willing to answer any questions. They are quick to refill broth or bring any refills for meats. Perfect for a group or a delightful date. Many happy returns to this favorite!

This one's building looks like a beautiful lodge. While there is an online Yelp waitlist (that goes up to 6 people), we had a party of 8 so I called the restaurant and they were happy to put my name down for a reservation. We came to celebrate my dad's birthday. We brought a cake to share, and when we arrived, our server was gracious enough to store it in the fridge until we were ready. We had 6 adults and 2 kids. Kids under a certain height (I forget the details exactly) are free. So we didn't have to pay for the little ones, and not like toddlers appreciate hot pot anyway. It was more, "how do we make sure they don't touch the pot?!" which went totally fine. It's to position the high chairs the furthest away from the knobs/hot surfaces. On our end of the table, we got the half-half broth of classic marrow and the gold cabbage marrow. The golden marrow was SO GOOD. I would get this again and again, because it's hot/sour; the flavor of pickled cabbage and the spice of Szechuan peppercorns. Our server said the spice builds over time, and it did. It was so flavorful that I barely used my dipping sauce. If you like hot/spicy and sour, choose this broth, it is DELICIOUS. The sauce station and the prepared food buffet was located in the middle-back of the dining area. It's a little packed and cozy in there, especially during the dinner rush, you may need to wait a little longer or keep an eye on the area to determine when to get out of your seat. This same area has self-service personal ice cream cups, soda, additional toppings/veggies/proteins, buffet (fried rice, fried chicken, egg rolls, fried buns) AND the sauce station. What I did love is there was a gentleman who was making balloon animals/hats/characters for sale near the front of the restaurant. He says he does this occasionally when he doesn't have other gigs like parties or weddings, etc, so my kiddo and my niece each got a cat and a bunny, respectively. This made their day! And it was nice for them not to be strapped into a high chair the whole time, and have something to entertain them. Overall, 4 shining stars! It would have been great if they had private and semi-private rooms like the Bridgeport location, but I think this wasn't possible due to their building. It looked like they took over a from a Mangia Bubala Roadhouse (Italian and Jewish fare) which took over from a Connie's Pizza. This place has gone through some changes, but it looks like Happy Lamb will be there for the long-run.
