Normally always satisfied. Tonight I decided to try 2 new things (my mistake) first being crab rangoon, tasted more like an eggroll with cinnamon than any crab rangoon i've ever tasted. Second was the house lo mein with no pork, the pork was left in my lo mein, the shrimp was mushy, & the chunks of meat were so big and gross looking I lost my appetite all together. I called and asked if it was possible to bring the lo mein back and just get rice and they said no, understandable but disappointing overall. I will never order there again. I went through uber eats and was charged $62.37. There were two items missing and two items incorrect. Uber refunded 26.62. I reordered one incorrect item and one missing item. They charged $16.65. then I was charged another 9.27 for I don't know what. The manager said he didn't believe me. Very unprofessional. Now I have to dispute PayPal and Uber eats. So I ended up paying what I initially was charged and got one less item. read more

My love and i began our late lunch with Won Ton and Hot and Sour Soup. My man proclaims best Won Ton ever..I tasted ..yes it is. I had the winner..a masterpiece..Hot Sour Soup ...full of pork, Shoots and such flavor. The usual someplace else has a flavor explosion not to be compared...if you eat one thing here, make it the soup! We ordered Combo Bites, a platter of Ribs, Eggroll, Won Ton, Fried Shrimp and the most delicious tender beef skewer. All tasty. My man went on to order A Combo fried Rice...so much food it made our server giggle. And...on to entrees of Beef Tomato and Green Pepper for my man, Kung Pao Chicken for me ..3 bites in and so good but i surrendered...we have dinner for 4 leftover. Total bill.. $46. We are new to the area and ordered from China House. It was delicious. So, we ordered again last night. It was so bad we couldn't even eat it and it was late (due to no fault of our delivery man). The sauce was sickeningly sweet. It was supposed to have shrimp, chicken and beef in it. I saw one little shrimp and one medium one. Never saw any beef. Ate something that looked like chicken. It was horrible. My husband got the fried dumplings. They were an odd color and tasted terrible. They were great the first time. The fried rice was very yellow; it looked like saffron rice, but it wasn't. My husband loves fried rice and usually eats the whole thing. He threw it away after a few bites. We tried out this China House for my birthday as the China House 2 in Romeoville was randomly closed. It was not a wise idea...I got violently ill a few hours after eating their food. I had Singapore noodles and crab rangoon. Needless to say my birthday evening ended up in horrible discomfort with extreme and aggressive "results". My husband and I just moved to Crest Hill not too long ago, and this is the closest Chinese restaurant to our house. Really good food- love their potstickers. The sweet & sour dishes turned out not to be that great, but that made me venture out into something a litle more different. Now I love the garlic chicken. I do NOT enjoy going to the actual restaurant and dining in. It is dirty and the ceiling tiles have watermarks... Not worth it. They definitely need to remodel or at least try to clean up/replace tiles, etc. It makes me scared to think about what the kitchen looks like... which is why I give this place only two starts despite the good food. read more

Ok so after giving It some thought and ordering a bunch more times here I must say the food has improved. It isn't as inconsistent as before. The pot stickers are still amazing and I do love their lunch specials and BBQ pork fried rice. The food of late has been fresh and delicious.
