Normally always satisfied. Tonight I decided to try 2 new things (my mistake) first being crab rangoon, tasted more like an eggroll with cinnamon than any crab rangoon i've ever tasted. Second was the house lo mein with no pork, the pork was left in my lo mein, the shrimp was mushy, & the chunks of meat were so big and gross looking I lost my appetite all together. I called and asked if it was possible to bring the lo mein back and just get rice and they said no, understandable but disappointing overall. I will never order there again. I went through uber eats and was charged $62.37. There were two items missing and two items incorrect. Uber refunded 26.62. I reordered one incorrect item and one missing item. They charged $16.65. then I was charged another 9.27 for I don't know what. The manager said he didn't believe me. Very unprofessional. We are new to the area and ordered from China House. It was delicious. So, we ordered again last night. It was so bad we couldn't even eat it and it was late (due to no fault of our delivery man). The sauce was sickeningly sweet. It was supposed to have shrimp, chicken and beef in it. I saw one little shrimp and one medium one. Never saw any beef. Ate something that looked like chicken. It was horrible. My husband got the fried dumplings. They were an odd color and tasted terrible. They were great the first time. The fried rice was very yellow; it looked like saffron rice, but it wasn't. My husband loves fried rice and usually eats the whole thing. He threw it away after a few bites. My husband and I just moved to Crest Hill not too long ago, and this is the closest Chinese restaurant to our house. Really good food- love their potstickers. The sweet & sour dishes turned out not to be that great, but that made me venture out into something a litle more different. Now I love the garlic chicken. I do NOT enjoy going to the actual restaurant and dining in. It is dirty and the ceiling tiles have watermarks... Not worth it. Ok so after giving It some thought and ordering a bunch more times here I must say the food has improved. It isn't as inconsistent as before. The pot stickers are still amazing and I do love their lunch specials and BBQ pork fried rice. The food of late has been fresh and delicious.
