This place is always a good time. The drinks are good and food is even better. For drinks my husband got the mai tai and I got the Zodiac. For food we split the dumplings and Korean wings, both amazing. My husband got the crunchy roll and said it was good, but wishes he got the other one he was in between. It was a good lunch date!

The sushi at Mora was delicious. It came out nice and hot. The flavor was great. Highly recommend.

When they said Asian fusion they weren't kidding! In my mind, I had already assumed this would be a try-hard modernized Asian restaurant, "fusion" serving as an indication that they are untraditional and probably Americanized. After perusing the menu, though, it looks like it was a fun fusion of multiple Asian dishes, Japanese, Korean and Filipino included. I excitedly ordered the Mango Lemonade and Adobo Fried Rice. It was delicious!! As a Filipino, this is a dish my parents would cook at least once a month when I was growing up. MORA's version was a cozy meal that gave me a taste of home. Well done! At the end of the meal, our waiter asked us if we've ever tried Ube before. I said it had been years since I've had Ube ice cream and my friend hadn't even heard of it before. He then came back with 2 bowls of Ube ice cream for us to try, on the house. I wish I could remember the waiter's name, because he really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience, even before the free ice cream! I do not frequent this neighborhood, but I certainly recommend trying this gem if you are around.

    Lumpia- perfectly crispy & delicious!

Our favorite local sushi spot! My husband and I first checked out Mora about a year ago upon moving into the area and have been coming back ever since. The quality has always been the same and that is a necessity when going out for sushi! This time around we went towards the end of happy hour and ordered a few things off that menu: spicy shrimp & salmon roll, along with the lumpia & $8 wine pours. Even the more basic rolls are very fresh and flavorful. The lumpia was incredibly crispy while also light and flaky- I'm pretty sure we finished them in under two minutes. We stayed past happy hour & ended up ordering the fire roll as well. SO yummy, definitely recommend from their signature roll menu. It's a smaller place which makes the atmosphere feel special and intimate. So glad to have found this little gem and will be back every time the sushi craving hits!!

Dinner started out well, but the rolls were disappointing. My favorite dishes of the night were the escolar truffles and the brussels & kale salad. These were 2 outstanding items followed by mediocrity when the rolls arrived. The cocktail list looks fun, but the drink I wanted (Jazmin) they were out of. They were also out of the grilled eggplant, which we substituted the king mushrooms for. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside and provided an intimate and pleasant atmosphere. It was unfortunate that the manager was working on his laptop a table away from us and a cleaning cart was parked at the other corner. Escolar Truffles (2) $8 Crunch Brussels & Kale Salad $10 King mushroom $8 Crispy Roll $15 Uroko $16 ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . I've now gone to More twice, and both times the food was phenomenal! The first time my husband and I went on a Saturday night before Valentine's Day and the wait was not too long with considering we didn't make a reservation. The waitress, Briana, was awesome! She answered all of our questions about dishes and made good suggestions as well. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night, but would also be good for a friends night out as well. The only thing I was disappointed in with the Ube cake. It was beautiful, but lacked the flavor the rest of the evening brought. The second time I went back with a friend for lunch, and the food was excellent again! We will definitely be visiting again to try more items off of the menu.

Came here for a Friday date night and were able to get a table without a reservation! The service was excellent and timely. We ordered the samurai, crispy 8 and spicy tuna rolls to start. All were delicious and fresh, yet the portion was not enough to satisfy our hunger. We ended up ordering the crunchy and spicy shrimp rolls since three rolls was not enough to fill us up. All delicious sushi, but giving 4 stars since it can be pricey for the amount of food. Overall, would come back for the service & intimate atmosphere!

This was my first visit, and it did not disappoint! The server was kind and took their time to explain the concept, tapas, to me. The food was delicious! I sat outside, and it was a lovely day. I will be back, for sure, with friends and family in tow!

    Crunchy Roll

Everything was good!! The service was awesome and our server was super nice :) I definitely recommend the orange chicken skewers and rice.. and the crunchy roll was the better of the two.. we will be coming back

    Good drinks though

Could probably hold a huge wedding or Shower party there. Love the decor and food was great. I think they have a coat check, but I'm not sure. The coats didn't stay well on the chairs. And can't hang your purse on the back either. I ended up putting my purse between my shoes. Had the mimosa flight and was able to try all of their flavored mimosas. They were pretty tart. But I like the strawberry lemon the most. Got the eggs Benedict with the smoked salmon. Came with a side of potatoes and peppers. Then ended with the sticky toffee pudding. Definitely recommend as it melts into your mouth. The waiters were really nice and was able to do split checks with no issues. There are street parking and a small parking lot not far from the restaurant. There were signs on the street that helped guide me to the parking lot.

We didn't book a reservation but we were able to get a seat without any issue. My friends that came here prior say that whenever they booked with the reservation they were able to get a seat upstairs. We weren't dining in, we were only staying for a few drinks but this place was really cozy and the waitress who took care of us throughout our time here was very friendly and social. Great selection of drinks to choose from and there's even non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails as well. It can be a bit pricey coming here as well as a bit tricky trying to find a parking spot but it's a great place to stop at!

O.M.B. (ONE MAGNIFICENT BURGER)…read more Their name doesn't say it, but Next Whiskey Bar serves an incredible burger. I know my way around a sandwich, and I have to say the offerings at NWB in downtown Plainfield are some of the best around. Look for the blue & white house on Lockport St, and you'll know you've found it. NWB doesn't take reservations, however you can join an online waitlist. Park on the street or in a small lot adjacent to the building. The beer selection is fantastic, a pint ($8) never disappoints although I usually lean towards a Hefeweizen or pilsner with my meal. Yeah yeah, I know this is a WHISKEY bar, but yours truly doesn't do the brown liquor.....bad experience with Jägermeister as a kid. For appetizers, the cheese curds ($14) are pricey but oh-so-worth it. They come with a cilantro aioli and we get an order of these every single visit. The cauliflower popcorn ($11) is also a very worthy choice for starters; roasted and seasoned cauliflower florets are served with a sumptuous clarified butter. Their house NWB Burger ($16.50) is a busy affair, with pork belly, bbq sauce, onion straws and cheese curds on a pretzel bun. The Big Jer ($15.25) is a much simpler yet equally stellar burger with 2x4oz patties, lettuce, tomato, and Merkt's cheddar spread served with a pickle spear. I recently tried the Suribachi ($15.50) and it blew my mind. A 1/2lb patty is lightly fried in tempura batter, then topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi coleslaw and sriracha on a brioche bun. Next time, I'm giving the El Toro a shot (pickled habaneros, corn guac). My wife loves the pork belly mac ($16), a good portion of cheesy cavatappi pasta with crispy pork belly. Their Cubano ($15) is solid and the Taylor Street panini ($15) is a tasty Italian grinder, with prosciutto, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato and olive spread on focaccia bread. NWB's homemade chips are amazing, I always opt for them instead of fries (which are also great). Bread = 5+ Circuses = 4.5 Service has been generally fine, but last visit it took a long time for our server to come by initially. The inside of this converted house is somewhat cramped so if the weather allows, I suggest dining 'al fresco'. Their outdoor patio definitely passes the vibe check. I honestly can't decide whose doughnuts are better, Empire in Naperville or Next Whiskey Bar's. It might be a tie! In any case, we ALWAYS end a meal here with the fried doughnuts ($11) that come with a heavenly whiskey caramel sauce for dipping. * TL;DR * In my mind, NWB stands for "Nirvana, With Burgers". Everything we've gotten here has exceeded expectations. Cheese curds, cauliflower popcorn, pork belly pasta, doughnuts and of course burgers all stand out. I would get the Suribachi again in a HEARTBEAT. The ambiance is ideal for date night and small groups, and with a small dining area that fills up fast, come early or expect a wait. Next Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs, I highly recommend them.
