a record store - The image shows the interior of a vinyl record store with multiple display bins filled with vinyl records. The records are organized and visible from the front, with some bins labeled as new releases. The wall behind the records is decorated with framed black-and-white photographs of musicians and performances. To the right, a glass door with an exit sign above it allows natural light into the space. The store has wooden flooring and a simple, organized layout.

Popped in here since I was in the area. Didn't know it was back here. Love the vibe. Bar with live music at night and local craft beers and wine. Great coffee shop too. Had the Purple Rain (espresso with your choice of milk, lavender and vanilla). Delicious combo! Had a pretty interesting breakfast menu too. Love breakfast foods so I need to head back to try that. They also sell records with other crafts and have a big area to hang out to listen to music and enjoy some drinks and food. Really loved the dining room tables. Really vintage! Lol Hate to say that since I grew up with those in our houses!

Matcha Latte And Fresh Fruit Cup

Black Dog Vinyl Cafe is a record store and cafe. It's a pretty cool concept even though it's nothing unique if you've been around enough. Lots of coffee and some things such as baked goods and pastries. Fairly good prices on the coffee and food. The prices on vinyl aren't cheap especially for the new stuff. Came in to check out some of the coffee, food, and music. It has a nice little cafe where you order at the counter and have a seat. There's only a few tables. It has a few more interesting coffees. There's a Matcha Latte. It's $3.10 for a small cup. Try it with non dairy milk for an bit extra. Also has a few small bites. There's not a whole lot especially for vegans. All I could find was a Fresh Fruit Cup. It's $3 for one. This has blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. Records were another thing and it was fun looking through a few. These can cost upwards of $20 for certain new and rare ones and I didn't even have a record player so there was no reason to pay that. Fun to come look around. It has a cafe side and the record side. The prices for the coffee and food are okay while the prices on the records varies.

A can of beer labeled 'Dark Side of the Bad Pole' and a plastic cup filled with a dark beverage are placed on a wooden table inside a cafe. The background features framed artwork, photographs, and a window showing the outside night scene. The setting appears casual with additional items like a menu and a fur-lined coat or blanket on a chair.

Awesome shop and awesome owners! Very good prices on coffee too. They have beers from all the local breweries! Awesome selection. The vinyl record prices are comparable to other places near. Stop by! You won't be disappointed.

Espresso. Very dark and bold intense flavor. - A small white ceramic coffee cup containing black coffee is placed on a wooden table. The cup has coffee stains on its inner rim, indicating it has been used. The table surface shows visible wood grain and some scratches. In the background, there is a carpeted area with a patterned rug and a few chairs, suggesting an indoor setting such as a cafe or home.

Very BOLD espresso. Good ambiance and great selection of music. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I will be back here to try out the bar one night!

Coffee, vinyl, pastries, friendly people--the just-launched Black Dog Vinyl Cafe is a wonderful place to hang out, listen to music, and recharge one's pandemic-depleted batteries. Not to be missed: their apple cider and pumpkin cake drizzled donuts with a hot cup of autumn spice coffee--wow!

I came here for the first time ever to score a limited edition Taylor Swift vinyl on RSD! Not only did I luck out and was able to get exactly what I wanted--the team that works there is exceptionally helpful, and serve up a great cup of coffee. I will keep this gem of a place on my radar for future vinyl needs and thanks for being so great.

This was our first time at BDVC and we will be back. The atmosphere was great - live music, ncaa tourney on the tv, and board games aplenty to choose from. Beer for hubby and wine for me. Friendly owners and a great Friday evening!

Cute café with delicious lattes! I love how they offer a pumpkin pie latte, which I had and the flavor was on point. You can also tell a coffee shop is good when their vanilla latte is delicious as well, which it is here. Will be coming back for sure and they're open later than usual coffee places which makes it perfect if you want a delicious late night cup of coffee! The customer service was great and the owners here were super nice as well.

Live music! The tastiest coffee! - A vintage microphone with a metal grille and stand is positioned on a wooden table inside a cafe. The background shows a modern cafe interior with warm lighting, a menu board, and patrons seated at tables. The image captures the microphone as the main subject with a blurred cafe environment behind it.

I recently found this cafe close to home and every day I just wish I found it sooner. The atmosphere inside is welcoming, comfortable, and friendly; I always leave with a smile on my face. My initial reaction to my first sip was unbelievable! I loved the flavor as well as the remarkable service. This cafe is run by a lovely and personable couple who will give you the best recommendations and never fail to greet you with a smile. They even asked me what vinyl I would like for them to play-- so considerate! I only ever have nice things to say about this place and I have told everyone I know to come on over and experience the Black Dog Vinyl Cafe for themselves.

Their Bourbon Coffee is awesome. They have a nice setup in there. I'm excited for the live music. Amazing people with good energy. Go check them out!

The coffee is amazing! I ordered the Thin Lizzy, and it is the best latte I have tasted. My family will definitely be regulars. Highly recommend!

I drink my coffee black and usually go with dark roast/espresso when ordering but decided to get a Thin Lizzy too because of the promo.

This is only on the record store portion of their business, but nice selection....though very odd…read more This was one of the weirder more eclectic selections of vinyl I've seen. Lots of comedy and novelty stuff. Prices seemed fair to average and the staff is friendly.

A few weeks ago I was searching for a particular (out of production) vintage jazz electric guitar…read more Online I found what looked to be the perfect match for me--at a very attractive price. BUT we all know of rumors (and unfortunately some true) stories of online purchases that went to bad ends.[That's not why I'm writing this YELP!] I am writing to endorse the owner of this store--his honesty and truthfulness! All via long distance from several states away. I satisfied my curiosity by researching the guitar model first--and in-market price ranges. Once I found the guitar, I opened an email exchange with the owner (Joe) and was directed to his website. Once I'd proven that this was an established, credible business with employees and history, I was engaged. Upon finding out that this is a community-centered business with ties to the town and a history of business--topped off by being a proudly-proclaimed family business. I was convinced. Joe and I agreed to handle the transaction via his credit card processor and bank (same bank I use) and agreed to shipping arrangements and details. The receipt arrived first and within a few days, as informed, the guitar arrived with no harm in transit what so ever. Exactly as Joe had promised and superbly packed and protected by him very well during shipment. I'm exceptionally happy in my new guitar having reignited my interest in the instrument, and happy to have made a new friend in the music store business. AND, reinforcing my belief in the honesty of small businesses once again. IF you are in the Joliet IL area, get to know these folks. If you are seeking a vintage instrument at a very honest price, check here!
