Party of 5 went for dinner during the Taste of Bolingbrook. Sat outside, really nice outdoor patio. The inside of the restaurant is dark and cold. Service was awful. We gave our drink orders and the waitress came back a few minutes later because she forgot what they were. Food took at least 30 min to arrive. Husband and i had onion rings with southwest salad. Onion rings were good. The salad was small, topped with so much crispy chicken that we couldn't see the salad. Def not worth $15!!! BIL had the wings and couldn't finish them because they were awful. I feel like this location has been about five different craft beer/burger bars in the past five years. I am not quite sure what the problem is with this location, but this is definitely a nice option in the area. It seems like the beer selection is a little bit better than the past couple of owners, with a decent selection of locals. The food was great and came out quickly, and the service was very friendly. Doing local shopping, decided to try this place. The lower stars should have been a red flag. We were greeted quickly; there were 2 other people here. Doesn't seem that popular. It's weird how businesses cycle in and out of this location. They have a decent selection of beer. I got the Pursuit of Happiness Limeade. Not bad. That's the end of the good stuff. Dirty, greasy appetizer plate. The chicken bites were not that good, and the added honey was an odd touch. They added my fries to my girlfriends entree plate. The chicken sandwich was mushy. The entire sandwich was overly covered in leafy greens and mustard. The side salad was oddly chopped. They weren't busy at all, and the waitress stopped by once. Beer is always a must when you come here, so today it's the #13: Twisted hippo golden lasso beer. It's a honey cream ale, it has a bitter taste but balanced. I like it for sure and since they don't have Blue Moon, I decided to try something new. Glad I did though as I need to expand the horizon once in a while. The bartender is very well versed in his knowledge of foods and tap drinks. This is good of course. He did recommended the 5 wings with the barbecue sauce and was he right. They were done quick and double fried which showed in the texture. Not at all burned but crisper just right. This is how I like them and I have to have on the bleu cheese. This is definitely bleu cheese to the highest. I loved it. And I amnot a fan of shoestring fries but their fries are super nice. They do need a hotter hot ssauce but that's neither here nor there. Perfecrion all the way and of course ill return again as this is one of our past stomps when we use to bring our small chihauhuas and they were always kind when we brought them here. Went there for a work reunion on 2/20. I had a hard time locating this place, so I called. No Answer. I walked around the mall and finally found this place (in 15 degree weather). Sign on the door stated that they are not serving any alcohol. That would have been great to show on their website. This place won't be I business for long! read more

My family and I ate here once for lunch on a random Saturday. After our visit I think it's safe to say we won't be back. The restaurant was dead empty but the service was very slow. We had to flag down our waitress a few times to place drink and meal orders. The food wasn't very good, I had a chicken sandwich that was overcooked and greasy. Came to try a new restaurant in the area and this place was disappointing. The service was very poor, took our waiter ages to come to our table to take our order, get our drinks and get our food. Arriving at the restaurant, there was no alcohol and the food was inedible. The wrap I got was extremely dry and the lettuce within the wrap had a purple hue to it. I went for dinner a couple of nights ago. It was my first visit and I forgot that their liquor license is still pending but I still enjoyed my experience. The server was very nice and personable. I loved the burger, the waffle fries and the free chicken bites appetizer! I hope that the issue with the liquor license is resolved soon as it would be a shame to lose yet another business. So, the whole place was a bit off with the staffing situation. They had just one cook juggling the whole kitchen. It took a solid hour before we got a glimpse of our food. The menu was like a game of chance, missing a bunch of starters and drinks. And once you got your drink, that was it - no refills not sure if it's not supposed to be offered or if it was just that day. No one checked on us from the moment we ordered till the food hit the table. The food, was ok at best. I mean, it's hard to mess up tater tots and burgers, but they did. When the website talks about the food coming from this amazing well traveled, award winning chef you expect then to at least hand out tots better than the ones from Sonic. Overheard a server saying, "Sorry for the wait, but ya know we are busy," as if that's cool for making us wait forever. Especially when it seems like this isn't a one-off thing. The same server had only three tables but acted like it was rush hour. Honestly, shit happens, but that shouldn't be the motto of the restaurant, but when you see it's a pattern and all you get is a cookie-cutter reply and an email to shout into the void? Quite literally all bad reviews get a... "Hello Matt, at Krafted Burger Bar + Tap we want to make sure that you always have a great experience, and I apologize that we fell short this time. Expected an upscale burger place and it did not deliver. My in-laws said their flatbread was tasteless. My burger was mediocre. My son's chicken nuggets were the driest looking rock-like nuggets I've ever seen. The house-made chips were waffle fries and the shoestring fries were regular fries. Crispy chicken bites x2 and a couple drinks and it's a 10/10 night. But if you're looking for a good filling meal I highly recommend the chicken and waffle sandwich that's my go-to. The servers I've encountered on my visits have been wonderful. One server even recommended the chicken bites to us on our first visit, and that's one of the main reasons we go back. They have live music some days so I'm assuming it gets pretty loud inside, their outdoor seating is nice if you're not a huge fan of that. read more

Noisy. The kitchen was slow on the day we went. Food was incorrect on a few orders. However the waitstaff was extremely nice and served a large party to the best of her ability. The food itself was well above average for a burger bar. Burgers were tasty and skillfully prepared. The poppy aioli -- which is the 2020s' go-to snooty condiment -- was quite good and was perfectly matched to my dish. An interesting and tasty cole slaw. By far the worst spot I have been to in the promenade. Went there at 2pm on a Saturday and they had one waitress who doubled as a bartender, shout out to her for having a great attitude and doing her best, poor girl. You also had the manager cooking which was apparent by my niece an Nephews blackened chicken tenders. Btw they were not blackened on the menu they came out like coal balls and were sent to the table. Barf!!! The tots weee also like grey colored so the fryer was either filled with old oil or someone didn't know what they were doing, maybe that's what happens when the manager cooks. If you just want a Tap beer, it's OK. Food is horrible. Chicken sandwich came with unmelted cheddar cheese, which wasn't supposed to be on it. I'm not sure what happened to this place as it used to be full, full of beer and full of good food products. Speaking of fullness, that is not what could be said about the beer. They charged a normal price for a so called "16oz" beer in the itemized receipt. A blind man would not even mistake the small 12 oz glass they served the beers in (12 oz was confirmed as I took one home to measure for this review). The menu was gashed down to bare bones, and the appetizer trio tasted like lays potato chips thrown in a deep fryer. The side salad seemed like it was bought at the Meijer across the street. The only bright side to this meal was the burger, which was now smash burgers, apparently a new twist on the menu. In the end, it seems like a restaurant attempting to prevent complete collapse by short staffing, over charging for 12oz beers for 16oz prices, and obscene food wait times. Decided to try a burger place at the Promenade Mall and noticed this restaurant (Krafted Burger) replaced what was previously there. The hostess "greeted us" by looking at us and walking to the table with 2 menus. She didn't say anything, we just followed. It was also extremely empty where we were one of four occupied tables on a weekend afternoon. Sat at the table and the waiter had an electronic order device, but he just stood there and stared at us. No introduction, no asking us what we wanted, just stood there with a device. So we started putting in our order with a lot of awkwardness. 0 for 2 on hospitality so far. Order took about 20-25 minutes to come out. Side was coleslaw for one of us. Coleslaw had zero taste and was the soggiest ever had. Was likely left far too long to be good. Ordered burgers and was never asked how we wanted them cooked. Now my burger was actually okay, no complaints. BUT, someone in our group bit into something hard in the burger. It wasn't a bone, but it was a piece of plastic - in the burger. Finished the meal, but no one ever checked on us, so getting the check took forever. When we got the "check," it was a handheld device on the waiter I paid for with a card. He wouldn't let go of the device, the device was strapped to his wrist facing him. So I had to awkwardly pay on a device that was attached to his wrist and with him hovering over my shoulder. Then a tip screen came up and he watched as my group looked at each other awkwardly laughing at how weird this situation was. Eventually put in zero tip explaining we'd "leave it on the table." Then just to add to it, another screen came up asking if they did " :) " or " :( " and again, the device is attached to the waiter watching this. Ordered the bbq chicken pizza and onion rings, when the pizza came out it was the wrong pizza and came out before my onion rings, they were suppose to come out first. The pizza being wrong was sent back and i ended up with the onion rings. The onion rings are excellent and definitely homemade and not frozen. a beautiful brittle crust. When the pizza came out i thought i would be disappointed because the crust looked premade and to perfectly round like something mass produced.I must say the pizza ended up being very tasty and enjoyable.
