Pork belly skillet, served with cornbread. - A breakfast meal served on a metal plate includes two fried eggs with partially cooked yolks, rice mixed with bacon and vegetables, and a piece of cornbread. The dish is accompanied by a fork and a glass of water, with additional bread visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining restaurant.

Went here for an extended family breakfast, with a party of 8 on a Sunday morning. They were able to accommodate our larger party despite being a little busy. I really like that this place has awesome large selection of breakfast items. I decided to try something hearty with the pork belly skillet. It was quite delicious and was a large enough portion that I took half home for the next day. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, especially with a big beautiful Christmas tree for the season. I would definitely want to return again!

Feta and spinach omelette. Carry out. - The image shows a styrofoam takeout container with scrambled eggs mixed with spinach, and a portion of hash browns. A fork is placed inside the hash browns. In the background, there is a partially eaten slice of bread with butter, resting on a paper napkin. The setting appears to be on a wooden table near a computer keyboard and papers, indicating a casual dining or work environment.

Cold weather set me up for a carry out breakfast. Today a spinach and feta omelette. Ordered on line and was ready at stated time. Don't truly like carry out, but this was done correctly with condiments and decent packaging. Omelet was moist and hardy. Has browns crispy by request. Rye toast was good. Service at counter was very pleasant. I will return.

Eggshells - A white plate contains remnants of a breakfast meal, including scrambled eggs, small pieces of bacon, and scattered food particles. The food appears partially eaten, with some grease and small bits of food visible on the surface.

The worst place for breakfast in the town. My family of 6 went and had awful service and Mm omelette was full of eggshells. When I spoke with the lady at the front desk she apologized and said well they cracked the eggs right next to the pan. Our server then came over and said I heard there was a problem with an attitude. I showed her the egg shells and I was again met with attitude. Not being able to eat my omelet I asked for it to be taken off the bill. The extremely ignorant lady at the front desk said absolutely not, She's not taking it off the bill and that eggshells are normal.

Fried Green Tomato - A hand with dark nail polish holds a fried green tomato, showing its cross-section with a crispy outer layer and a green interior. In the background, there is a white plate with three more fried green tomatoes and a small container of dipping sauce. The setting appears to be a restaurant or cafe, with a dark wooden table and a glass container holding sugar packets.

Southern comfort food for breakfast? Yes, please! I came here for breakfast with my husband and we were blown away by their creative menu. Everything had a little southern touch. Cheesy eggs, drop biscuits, burnt ends, cajun cream, fried green tomatoes... I wanted to order everything. Southern Belle's is also the home of the "bonuts" a cross between a biscuit and a donut. I didn't get to try those but here is what we ordered: To share: fried green tomatoes His: burnt ends bowl, coffee Mine: spicy chicken biscuit, iced coffee The spicy chicken was a breaded boneless chicken thigh between a drop biscuit and cheesy eggs, on top of a bed of hash browns and then smothered with a huge helping of cajun cream sauce, which was like cajun-rosemary gravy. It was SO good and I haven't had anything like it before. The portions are very generous and we each had a full meal to pack home with us. Their fried green tomatoes were also delicious, they were breaded with corn meal and freshly fried. All of their ingredients were fresh and the food was made to order. Southern Belle's had a lovely friendly atmosphere, and folks were here with their friends and family. There are gorgeous Tiffany lamps hanging above booths, which lined the sides of the main dining room. Tables and chairs were set up in the center of the room and it felt very spacious and kind of reminded me of a rec hall where we had meals during sleep away camp. There was something very comforting about Southern Belle's beyond their coma-inducing comfort food. The moment you step food inside, you'll immediately want to come back. That's exactly how we felt. Tip: When the server brings the check, you'll pay up front by the cash register. There's a 99 cent fee if you're paying by credit card to help cover transaction fees. We can't wait to come back and try their other items, including the bonuts. A solid four stars!

Stacked Biscuit - A breakfast dish with fried eggs topped with shredded cheese and meat, served over hash browns. A fork and knife are placed on the plate. In the background, there is a glass of dark soda, a bowl of creamer pods, and condiment bottles on a dark wooden table.

Could probably hold a huge wedding or Shower party there. Love the decor and food was great. I think they have a coat check, but I'm not sure. The coats didn't stay well on the chairs. And can't hang your purse on the back either. I ended up putting my purse between my shoes. Had the mimosa flight and was able to try all of their flavored mimosas. They were pretty tart. But I like the strawberry lemon the most. Got the eggs Benedict with the smoked salmon. Came with a side of potatoes and peppers. Then ended with the sticky toffee pudding. Definitely recommend as it melts into your mouth. The waiters were really nice and was able to do split checks with no issues. There are street parking and a small parking lot not far from the restaurant. There were signs on the street that helped guide me to the parking lot.

We didn't book a reservation but we were able to get a seat without any issue. My friends that came here prior say that whenever they booked with the reservation they were able to get a seat upstairs. We weren't dining in, we were only staying for a few drinks but this place was really cozy and the waitress who took care of us throughout our time here was very friendly and social. Great selection of drinks to choose from and there's even non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails as well. It can be a bit pricey coming here as well as a bit tricky trying to find a parking spot but it's a great place to stop at!

O.M.B. (ONE MAGNIFICENT BURGER)…read more Their name doesn't say it, but Next Whiskey Bar serves an incredible burger. I know my way around a sandwich, and I have to say the offerings at NWB in downtown Plainfield are some of the best around. Look for the blue & white house on Lockport St, and you'll know you've found it. NWB doesn't take reservations, however you can join an online waitlist. Park on the street or in a small lot adjacent to the building. The beer selection is fantastic, a pint ($8) never disappoints although I usually lean towards a Hefeweizen or pilsner with my meal. Yeah yeah, I know this is a WHISKEY bar, but yours truly doesn't do the brown liquor.....bad experience with Jägermeister as a kid. For appetizers, the cheese curds ($14) are pricey but oh-so-worth it. They come with a cilantro aioli and we get an order of these every single visit. The cauliflower popcorn ($11) is also a very worthy choice for starters; roasted and seasoned cauliflower florets are served with a sumptuous clarified butter. Their house NWB Burger ($16.50) is a busy affair, with pork belly, bbq sauce, onion straws and cheese curds on a pretzel bun. The Big Jer ($15.25) is a much simpler yet equally stellar burger with 2x4oz patties, lettuce, tomato, and Merkt's cheddar spread served with a pickle spear. I recently tried the Suribachi ($15.50) and it blew my mind. A 1/2lb patty is lightly fried in tempura batter, then topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi coleslaw and sriracha on a brioche bun. Next time, I'm giving the El Toro a shot (pickled habaneros, corn guac). My wife loves the pork belly mac ($16), a good portion of cheesy cavatappi pasta with crispy pork belly. Their Cubano ($15) is solid and the Taylor Street panini ($15) is a tasty Italian grinder, with prosciutto, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato and olive spread on focaccia bread. NWB's homemade chips are amazing, I always opt for them instead of fries (which are also great). Bread = 5+ Circuses = 4.5 Service has been generally fine, but last visit it took a long time for our server to come by initially. The inside of this converted house is somewhat cramped so if the weather allows, I suggest dining 'al fresco'. Their outdoor patio definitely passes the vibe check. I honestly can't decide whose doughnuts are better, Empire in Naperville or Next Whiskey Bar's. It might be a tie! In any case, we ALWAYS end a meal here with the fried doughnuts ($11) that come with a heavenly whiskey caramel sauce for dipping. * TL;DR * In my mind, NWB stands for "Nirvana, With Burgers". Everything we've gotten here has exceeded expectations. Cheese curds, cauliflower popcorn, pork belly pasta, doughnuts and of course burgers all stand out. I would get the Suribachi again in a HEARTBEAT. The ambiance is ideal for date night and small groups, and with a small dining area that fills up fast, come early or expect a wait. Next Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs, I highly recommend them.
