After two visits to the Parkway, this is one of my new favorite breakfast spots. While the menu contains all of your standard breakfast items, it's the specials that always distract me from what I was originally planning to order. The Parkway is a no frills kind of joint with friendly servers and a nice size patio for warmer weather. The first time I was lured in by the special of the day was when they had Mexican Ravioli. I wasn't sure what how the ravioli was going to be prepared, was it like Italian ravioli? It ended up being something like small empanadas filled with chorizo and cotija cheese. They were served on top of refried beans with eggs on the side and a tangy tomatillo sauce. Flavorful grape tomatoes were halved and decorated the top. Surprisingly delicious! The second time I thought I was set on an omelet but the waitress tells us about some pumpkin pancakes topped with cinnamon apples and a plate of breakfast arepas. Arepas filled with black forest sausage, cheese, tomatillo sauce with spicy fingerling potatoes alongside and eggs. I couldn't resist. The portions are large so if you don't normally eat a lot, there's plenty to share with someone else or to take home for a later meal. Really great diner in Boulder! I had an omelet with cheese, onions, green pepper, and mushrooms. It came with hash browns and toast. Everything was great! I particularly enjoyed the hash browns, which were crunchy and delicious. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was your typical no frills diner. The prices were so cheap! Along the road to the wonderful center for hard-to-recycle materials is a breakfast and lunch restaurant that's been in Boulder for many years. They have reasonable prices and serve good food. You know me...I stick with stuff I like, and at the Parkway I just love the blueberry pancakes. The last time I had breakfast here, I enjoyed an omelette with green chiles and cheddar, accompanied by a decent fresh fruit cup and blueberry pancakes, and it was $6.25 for everything. It seemed like a good deal to me. Good pancakes, good syrup, good omelettes, and I have never tried any of their lunch offerings. Friendly and efficient service too. They've got all the meat ingredients too...I just don't always talk about that. Stopped in while my buddy was standing in line at the DMV. Service was fast and friendly. I wasn't too impressed with the coffee, it wasn't bad just standard cafe Java. I had a quatro queso dish that had eggs, chorizo, tortilla chips crushed in it and some sauce in addition to the 4 cheeses. It was pretty dang tasty. Side of refried beans. Definitely off the beaten path, but packed (had to wait for a seat yourself and they were turning tables like crazy). Completely worth the drive. Excellent enchiladas with green chile sauce. I honestly don't know if I want Mexican where I live anymore after eating this. It was that good, like tex mex should taste! I grew up on Texas and this was like home. This is the closest thing to a Jersey diner I've found so far on my trip to Boulder. Huge selection of regular diner and western/Mexican items on the menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Parking can be a little tough, but it's worth driving around for a couple minutes to park. I ordered the French toast, which was home style--very eggy. My fiancé got the eggs and hash browns off the a la cart menu and liked the eggs, though the potatoes were a tad underdone. Portions are huge! Yum yum yum yum yum. It was rated high on here. I bookmarked it, forgot about it and then needed breakfast. The location in the strip was not an issue cause the was plenty of parking and even though it didn't look like much from outside, the food was wonderful. Great service too. I had a custom omelet with veggies including cactus that I loved. The parkway potatoes were great too. My friend got a huge burrito thing covered in green chili sauce and he fell in love. Crazy crowds at a couple of Denver breakfast hot spots chased us all the way to Boulder. We looked up this joint and loved the off-the-beaten-path location. So what if it's located in the middle of a high density of body shops, mechanics, tire shops, light manufacturing outfits, window repair dudes and car dealers? Yelp helped us find this very cool little breakfast place tucked in an industrial center east of downtown Boulder. Never would have found it otherwise. The reviewers were spot on. The place serves a solid breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were great, potatoes were too, bacon was crisp and the few bites of corned beef hash I had (from my wife's plate) were delicious. The Parkway is the hidden jewel of breakfast in Boulder. We try not to tell too many people about it, we don't want it to have either the wait of clientele of Snooze or any other upwardly trendy Boulder breakfast spot. Literally everything on the menu is good. The Mexican breakfast is the best there is in Colorado, the biscuits and gravy are amazing, even the club sandwich is great. The Migas and the breakfast enchiladas are a favorite the green chili is the star here, it should also be noted that the red chili is also wonderful and you can order them both as a half and half. The food is always consistent, hot, delicious. The service is also the best part of the Parkway. Melissa has become our goddess of coffee and all things Parkway. Best waitress in Boulder. I don't think that girl has even forgotten a piece of bacon in her almost 10 years serving there. We feel like family at the Parkway. read more

A good breakfast spot, and you'll get a decent variety of food. I tend to like the basics, which is eggs, hashbrowns, toast, and bacon as a combo. The food is good, but I felt the people at Village Coffee did the same meal much better. Both my girlfriend and I felt our meals were a bit greasier (and not in a good way) than at Village Coffee. However, this place is good, and the seating is awesome when the weather is good. Definitely sit outside and enjoy it. My rating might be a little unfair, but I keep comparing my experience at Village Coffee. I just felt the experience was better over there. Regardless of distance or where you're coming from, expect a decent meal here. Just know that you could get a better one a mere 2 miles away!!!! Service is fine, but be aware that you have to pay at the register. Don't just sit around waiting for something to happen once you get the bill. Service is friendly. Parking is easy. How did it take me three and a half years to find this gem?! The parkway restaurant is a true "greasy spoon" diner without the grease. It is everything I look for in a diner including a varied menu, fantastic, fast service and delicious food. I had the quatro queso- eggs with tortilla, chorizo, cheese and green chile with their house home fried potatoes. It was top notch!! Perfectly portioned to be very filling without and wasted leftovers. The home fries were good and I would get them again but I do prefer more onion and paprika with a bit less oil. Next time, I will try the hash browns. My husband got the burger. It was exactly what you want in a diner burger with thinner crispy patty and soft sesame roll. The fries were AMAZING!!! And its not anywhere near the walking mall part of pearl street! That being said, the food is awesome, and the service superb. They sell boulder born coffee and the prices of everything are fair.
