    Greek Fries
    Eddie J.

Craving a gyro near downtown Tacoma? Then head over to The Palace Kebab located inside Freighthouse Square in the Dome District. You'll find it in the food court and it's next door to the Amtrak/Sounder Station. Recommendations: (1) The gyro is HUGE, so it can easily be shared. (2) Definitely get the Greek Fries! So good!

Food was amazing, huge portion size of rice, about 5-5.5oz of chicken breast. flavor was on point, got complimentary dessert without asking. service was good for it being a local shop kind of deal. the environment was solid its tucked into a market of a bunch of food spots. Definitely come here it was well worth it.

We drove into Tacoma after seeing this had 4.8 stars. We ordered the gyro fries, a gyro wrap, a chicken gyro, and a chicken kebab plate. All staff was so kind and helpful. This was SO much food. We could have split those fries at least with 3 people. And the gyro between 2. I don't live here but if you're in the area you need to check this place out!!!!

The food is out of this world. Super fresh and bursting with flavor. Large portions as well. The nicest and happiest people work here. They were incredibly kind and made us feel super welcome. I enjoyed sitting in the food court, there was music playing and it just felt like I was at home. This was our first time and we can't wait to come back. I highly recommend the lamb shank- my goodness.

I ordered the Gyro Wrap (Half Lamb/ Half Beef) Portion size was huge and contained a lot of meet which I typically don't receive when ordering a Gyro. Location is in a food court /mall along the Sounder tracks and above the Tacoma Dome Bus Station.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO SHAWN AT PALACE KEBAB FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND! After another business cancelled a catering order last minute, I reached out to The Palace Kebab and Shawn came to the rescue. I called and informed him how many people were attending a dinner party - he told me to look over the menu and call back. So I did and decided on going the family platter route with some add ons. He asked how many people I was feeding and I told him 10-15, based on what I ordered he thought that was too much food and gave his opinion- - so I went with it. I arrived 30 minutes early and approached the counter and said I know I'm early I'll wait just want you to know I'm here and he let me know he was working on the order. I walk around the building and sit down and he comes over to me saying "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, I wanted to make the order fresh for you." I let him know that there was no rush whatsoever and appreciated him. When the food was ready he let me know he separated all the meats into individual containers (which I appreciated). Then a woman (his wife possibly) double checked the bags to make sure everything was there, she saw a salad was missing and put it in the bag. They also threw in a couple dolma appetizers - above and beyond! They asked if I needed help taking the bags out to the car which was very nice but I was able to manage. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures of the food but it was ALL DELICIOUS! Our guests loved the meat and rice and especially the dolmas! Overall, I'm glad it didn't work out with the other business because based on the customer service here alone - I'd be back to support but the fact that the food was great makes it all the better. I 100% will be back SOON and definitely recommend to anyone looking for fresh, high quality, great tasting food with amazing hospitality!

100% yes. Headed to a concert and it has been a long time since coming down to International hall. So thankful it is still here. I happen to read a few yelp reviews about the places to eat in here. The Palace kebab is Mediterranean. The staff is amazing, helpful and makes their own food, except the baklava. Someone on here said the Greek fries were a 10, they weren't lying, they're a 12 for sure. The feta, and sauce are a great combo. The gyro wrap is a two person meal as are the fries. Get one of each and share. I would come back here again just for the staff, the food was a plus and a great surprise.

Yes! Finally a gyro place here that rocks! Servings are huge, quality is high! The tzatziki was delicious ! I hope when freighthouse goes away they go Somewhere good because we're coming back! Pictured is the classic gyro-I got three meals out of that! Service was very friendly as well.

The hospitality is top notch. Everyone is so kind and makes you feel like you stepped onto a small Greek isle filled with kind people. The food was amazing. That Gyro was a gigantic serving of delicious perfectly seared lamb, fresh veggies and yummy garlicky tzatziki. We also had the appetizer baba ganush, hummus, and tzatziki. It was all perfectly delicious. They go above and beyond . We will be back.

Ordered the lamb shawarma and pelmeni at the counter on the way in. The shawarma is wrapped in lavash which is actually brilliant and it was delightfully flaky and crispy. The filling itself was delicious, tender lamb and pungently garlicky sauce--just what a rich meat needs to cut the flavor. The pelmeni comes with a side of sour cream, and I have to say that the flavor was not anything remarkable, and really depended on the sour cream to give it that boost. Figured out afterwards that this restaurant is attached to the neighboring spa, which is a no-frills Slavic-style facility from which patrons can order food during their spa day. The two establishments also share the adjoining billiards/rec room. Now for the reason one star was taken off: while the eating area is well-kept, the bathroom which is accessible through the billiards room was long-neglected, the trash can overflowing and the toilet paper missing--I had to poke around in the cabinet to find a new roll. They say a restaurant is only as clean as its bathroom, and I think you can say the same thing for a spa.

The samoon bread was insanely fresh. They were popping out batch after batch. That bread was soft, delicious & every ounce of comfort you could expect from fresh baked bread. I went a couple weeks ago and tried to order a shawarma but I must have came to early bc they were not ready. So today I decided to try again. I ordered the combo and the digital menu shows the combo as $14.99 but it rang up at $15.99. Not a big deal but the digital board should be updated. If you order online, the price does show for $15.99. The cashier was okay. Not as friendly with me as she was with others. It was like I was bothering her by ordering food. The gentleman who was in the back cooking my food was pretty friendly though. Honestly, based on the experience with the cashier it would be pretty easy to not rush back. But the shawarma was just good as I remembered. The chicken was juicy and extremely flavorful. Now that I work closer to this location, it will definitely be in rotation for me. The samoon was calling my name on this visit but I will definitely have to wait until next time and get it with some hummus. You can order the shawarma on the samoon also.
