    Shirazi Salad

Amazing place to grab true Mediterranean food. I ordered a gyro and salad and want to go back every day now

It is the second time I eat here and it is the second time I fall for their food. They are inside tacoma freight house, right in the food court area. Parking is available outside (2hr parking) or accross the street in the garage (free). The staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices are reasonable and the food portions are big. I had the number 9, which is grilled chicken in pita bread like; comes with a salad and their brown rice. The chicken was so delicious, I couldnt get enough of it. The salad well was a typical restaurant salad, nothing major but it was not bad. The rice was not the ussual wild rice type, but it was delicious too. My friend had the lamb wrap, totally worth it. Overall, this is not a high end place but its pretty good Greek food.

    Gyro plate $8.29

Great food, served on real plates and glassware at very resonable prices! Don't let the outside fool you, this place is legit. Though I live in Los Angeles, this place is as close as it gets to what you get at some of the fine places here in LA. I got the Gyro plate, I believe it was $8.29. Everything (rice, salad, veggies) was fresh. The Tzatziki was was excellent, one of the better ones. Oh, I have to mention if you get water here....it's in a glass cup and the water from here, tasted better than some of the other eats in the same plaza. Parking is out front, if you can find one. Stroll down the plaza for some retail goodies. There isn't much but at least it's covered and you can walk off your food.

    Hair in rice

First time here. I asked for chicken and beef kabobs no shrimp. They gave me shrimp. So at the other two. While enjoying myself I found a black hair in my rice. Called to tell them, they offered a discount next time I come. Not even a refund. Obviously I'm going to throw away the rest of my food since I found a HAIR. My hair is long and blonde so I know it's not mine. Save yourself a trip and DO NOT go here.

    Falafel Gyro with Fries

Tasty and quick. It's in an food court style terminal area. Food was very good. The fries come with an avocado/green sauce with crumbled feta. Really tasty.

Great falafel plate that can be ordered without rice in this old Freighthouse Square building with multiple restaurants right by Tacoma RR station. At $11 and fresh ingredients you can't go wrong!

If expecting "Mediterranean Palace" to be a storefront place, it's not. It's in this refurbished depot between the Tacoma Dome and Amtrak.

Tacoma's Mediterranean Palace near the Tacoma Dome is still good. It has changed, though. In the intervening time, they have made some changes to the menu. The food was still good, but each of the items weren't as tasty and delicious as I remembered them to be. The prices were a little higher and the service was a little more hurried, considering not everyone inside Freighthouse Square that day was eating at this one stand. I am chalking this up to the likelihood that there was an event going on at the Tacoma Dome, since it was unusually crowded, because it even took some looking around to find a table that was clean enough. That said, I walked out of there thinking that a 5 dipped down to a 3. I'm going to go with the hunch that this experience was an outlier and that they are fully capable of, on average, delivering a 4 star experience. Many local area folks return and return, so that says something.

Great food, affordable and located inside the Freighthouse Square. There's shopping, light rail and train service to & from Seattle. You should definitely try them if you're ever in the Tacoma, WA area. $10.49 w/drink.

    Lamb Gryo Plate

I always try Gyros wherever I go. They have Beef, Chicken and Lamb meat to choose from. No combined meats there. Rest assured they prepare the meats fresh every day. They have a decent variety of food to select from. It's a little more spendy then some other places I've eaten for the same dish. I went with the LAMB and it was pretty good. The owner who took my order was very pleasant and happy to have my business. It was lunch hour so the place was pretty busy anyway. It's nice to see appreciation from business owners.

    The Sampler with chicken gyro.

I saw the rating on Yelp and stopped on my way back to Seattle. I walked in around 6:40 and ordered the sampler that had a little of everything, for less than $10. After I got my food, I noticed people closing shop and leaving. I checked Yelp and it said it closed at 7pm. The guy behind the counter, who also was the cook, never rushed me. I shoved that delicious Greek food down my throat, and ordered baklava to go. I apologized profusely as someone who used to work in a restaurant and, "hated that guy." Excellent Mediterranean food and superb service. It's also super cool that it's a n international food court in a building that's over 100 years old.

This little hole in the wall place has great food. They give you big portions too. My favorite place to grab dinner with the family.

My husband brought me home some fries with green goddess type sauce, and feta cheese on top! They were the best fries that I had ever had!

First visit, on way home to Olympia Sunday after a matinee at the Paramount in downtown Seattle…read more Arrived a bit early for our reservation and were seated promptly. Server was attentive, very friendly, and knowledgeable. My wife enjoyed a frost cosmo. We then started with roasted calamari (which was quite flavorful, although the meat was a bit tough) and herbed focaccia (wonderful for dipping the calamari sauce). The ahi special and boneless short ribs were our entrees; both came nicely presented and were very tasty. Both pretty full, we ended up with a bourbon chocolate cake and fruit hand pie to go, which were both delicious. The restaurant is not large, and filled up while we were there, making it somewhat noisy, but not bad. It is a nicely appointed, appealing place, with a great team making it all happen. We'll be back.

My brother was a chef du cuisine, not a cook. He taught me decades ago how to make a dining experience worthy of people's spending. This was not it. The food was amazing but left the experience me feeling as if I wasted my money. The grumpiness of the individual behind the bar where we sat and ate was showmanship beyond unprofessionalism. When he dropped off drinks...no eye contact, no acknowledgement of our thank yous to him. Utterly embarrassing for the establishment, and for us to support it. If you are that miserable, you should not be outward facing to represent a business. Bartending is an art rooted in many aspects beyond drink making, especially if you are representing a business in service. No offers of drinks with empty drink glasses after rounds 1 and 2. No acknowledgement of empty dishes with wishes of subsequent courses that we were interested in. Yikes, this was bad.
