I've brought my Mac in the past to the Orchid and when I learned that I had another issue and could not troubleshoot it myself I decided to bring it in. They have two locations, one in Chandler and the other in Mesa so I went to my Chandler location on a Saturday morning to see what the recommendation was in order to resolve my iMac which was a "power up" problem. The issue was a common problem that could be resolved, but it required a part that needed to be ordered and that would've taken me out of commission for a couple days. The tech checked over with the Mesa store and they identified having that particular hardware available so I quickly headed over to and spoke with the agent and explain the problem and issues that I was having and he to believe that that may be the root cause. They provided me what the cost and labor of the repair would be upfront and told me that they literally could have it done within the same day. I knew they had limited hours on Saturday but the fact that he said it could take anywhere from an hour to three hours let me know that they were willing to stay behind in order to accommodate me as some of the content that I need it was recently changed within the last 48 hours and not properly backed up (yeah that's my fault) While running a few errands I got a phone call letting me know that was the issue and that repair been completed. I quickly made my way over to for pick up. I'm back home and powering up my computer was no issue and everything is running just as it was previously the other day. One of the things I like about the Orchard is that they do have available equipment and hardware on hand to do the repairs that are needed but they also let you know about other alternatives that could be done if you're looking to upgrade or move in a different direction with your Mac. No pressure sales but informative. If you no longer part of AppleCare and have equipment I highly recommend using The Orchard as your first line of defense as they have been honest and forthcoming and great when it comes to repairs and they do work at a reasonable price for owning a Mac. I was ready to take a hammer to my 21.5 inch 2019 iMac because it was so slow. Apps would also lock up. It was torturous to use. I've had older iMacs that were much faster. I brought my 2019 MacBook Pro in and Sparky was able to run diagnostics and fix the problem within the week for well under what the Apple store was asking. Well it happened my phone went insane and my phone carrier would not help because it had one small crack, so after a week of frustration I remembered The Orchard took my phone in as soon as they opened and received a call my phone was ready about 3 hours later (probably would have been sooner but Sparky was busy that day) now what would have cost me $$$ I got for $. My experience with OrchardAZ Mesa was terribly frustrating and awfully disappointing. A friend had recommended Orchard so I picked the closest one to me. This "simple" glass replacement on my old iPad2 turned into five 30 minute drives to the store to sort things out with the manager, the same one I dealt with the whole time except for today. I will spare the reader the excruciating details of why I had to go there 5 times for something seemingly so simple. I will never use their services again. Unless they change the manager. He can't be trusted to deliver on time what he said he would deliver. The iPad still has a slight malfunction, but I am so tired of driving down there (it would be the 6th time) that I will let it go. Be very careful if you choose to go to this branch. Perhaps the Chandler branch is better. Fortunately, their main website has a way to send feedback to (I assume) their owners or corporate office. So, I did. Let's see if they will listen. If they are a company that wants to beat their competition and stay alive in the market, they will listen to their legit customers. Especially the reasonable and level headed ones who just want reliable, dependable service without frustration and a waste of their time. read more

Some bad apples spoiled The Orchard. We bought a laptop and part-exchanged our 'old' computer. Nothing worked as it should, we returned the laptop soon after purchase- though the return arrangement was far from financially satisfactory we were glad to be rid of the piece of cr@p they sold. They clearly do not care about customer service or repeat custom and would rather the short term gain of keeping your money. Caveat emptor; pay more and go somewhere reputable where your custom is valued. read more

They will give you an honest fix in half the time, and it will cost a fraction of what Apple charges you. Plus, no pushy upselling or trip to the mall. Better still? I'm going to rate the Orchard for what they advertize themselves as... a place that repairs and services electronics (specializing in Apple products). Relative to this particular service, The Orchard is great. My son dropped our iPad and manged to beak the case, the crystal, and one of the buttons all at once. I thought for sure the thing was doomed. I called around and these guys were the cheapest by about 25%. Their turn-around time wasn't blinding (I think it was 5 days), but given the degree of damage, I was just happy that it was repairable and that the price was so reasonable. It was actually done a day or two early and they were good about communicating both once they found out exactly what was wrong and when it was done. Based on the discussion I had with the tech when I brought it in and the discussion that the person in front of me had with the same technician, I could see how purchasing a computer here might not be the best idea. The guarantees are somewhat limited and what they can do is also a bit limited. But having said that, given the upfront cost of Apple products and what the people here are able to fix, the vast majority of the time it's going to be money well spent here to get your iPad/Pod/Phone back up and going again. Overall I can't comment much on buying computers here, but I give them very high marks for their repair work and the cost effectiveness of that work. read more

Great service and my computer was fixed in a couple hours. After Apple told me to do a complete wipe (which didn't work) and then told me it was going to be a $$$ fix I found The Orchard and decided to call to see if they could do anything and the owner told me to bring it in and he'll look at it. A couple hours later and $100 my computer was up and running for 1/5 of the cost Apple said it'd be. I first went to the Orchard a little over a year ago to buy myself an Apple laptop. They have a range of products to choose from including; Macbooks, Macbook Pros, desktops, iPods, iPhones, etc. They also have a nice selection of accessories like colored keyboard covers, laptop cases, Apple software, chargers etc. If you need repair for you Apple products they do this too, even if not purchased from them. I asked how they acquire these products, and they said they buy used computers off of businesses that were leasing them, clean them up, and turn them around. I purchased a 2009 Macbook a little over a year ago for $525. It came clean, fully loaded with all Microsoft software, iWork, pretty much everything you need for a basic laptop. Throughout the year I've had a few problems with the battery, CD slot, and hard drive. I put all the problems off thinking they were going to cost me, but recently I became fed up. I thought to myself, "I should've just bought a new Mac". SIck of hearing me complain, my husband took my laptop back into the Orchard and explained to them what was going on. They took it for the night and called us to come back and get it the next day. We were so surprised! They replaced the battery, the cd drive, and hard drive, and the charger piece on the side, and gave me a cute pink keyboard cover; all for free! Since getting it back, I have no complaints and am still glad I went here to purchase my laptop. The fact that they replaced these pieces without trying to make a dime off me, shows that they care about their customers. read more

I can't rave enough about this place. I took my 9 yr old MacBook Pro (that I love) to the Apple Store, and to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Neither Apple nor Best Buy could/would fix it because it was too old. BB told me about The Orchard. At first glance, my laptop looked promising to the team but then I got a phone call that said it was not to be fixed. I was devastated. I told them I'd be by tomorrow to pick it up.....what they didn't tell me was they were going to try one last fix and by the time I picked it up the next day........voila! This was a nightmare. I went to the orchard after being referred to them by someone at Best Buy after they didn't have the battery for my Mac book pro. First, I get there about noon and there was a sign saying the store would be closed for the whole day. So I went back to my car to google another place, someone walks up and opens the store. Alright? So I talk to the rep, leave my computer and he says they'll text me when it's ready. A couple days go by and they send the text. I drive all the way from downtown Phoenix to pick up my computer and the first thing the rep says to me is "where is your computer?". I reply thinking he's joking because he remembers me and I specifically left my computer with not just anyone, but him! We go back and forth and then finally after looking around in the back he finds my computer. I'm a little uneasy about where I've just left my very expensive computer, but I figure I'll pay and be done. Wrong. He then tells me the battery they told me was ready wasn't mine, they meant to tell somebody else and mine wasn't actually ready. So he says they'll give me a discount, which I wasn't asking for but it was a nice offer. What a surprise when I haven't even had the chance to drive another 40min one way drive to pick it up and I get an overdue balance email. I finally picked it up and of course paid full price. This place was very unprofessional and was just an absolute amateur hour. I give them three stars only because the price for battery was good ($114) and because I really hope this is not always how they run their business and maybe I was just very unlucky. read more

I spilled a large cup of coffee on my MacBook Pro 6 months ago (luckily no cream or sugar). Did all the recommended steps to prevent as much damage as possible, and thankfully everything works except for the keyboard. After 6 months of using a separate bluetooth keyboard on top of my dead laptop keyboard, I decide to take it into Apple Store Biltmore. After explaining what happened, the Genius tells me I've voided my warranty and it will cost $1,240 to fix the machine - without even opening it up. This evidently is the cost of a new bottom case, logic board, etc. Even after running diagnostics and showing that everything is working fine, Apple has a policy that it either replaces everything or nothing. That wasn't going to work for me. So I call Orchard, explain the situation and Justin tells me they see this a lot. Since everything else seemed to work fine, he was able to order the keyboard only, as a used part harvested from a similar MBP, for $70. A few days later I bring it in, and Cameron was able to install the keyboard inside of two hours. He also took photos of areas where corrosion had occurred, and explained how he cleaned them with rubbing alcohol. Now my $3,000 MacBook Pro is back to perfect condition, and it only cost me $160. Thanks, Orchard, for saving me $1,080! This isn't my first time dealing with them and each experience has been positive. I've been a Mac user since the late 1980s, and I've never felt more comfortable working with another Apple specialist, as I do with The Orchard. read more

I started taking all of my Macs here about a year and a half ago. I have had 2 computers, and several Iphones dropped off to them for repair, on numerous occasions, because I like to try and do things myself, but tend to break them. Can't learn if you don't try though. Every single time they provided exceptional service, and have never failed to repair my items. 5 stars for EXCELLENT service and salesmanship. I found The Orchard through a personal referral, which is like gold to me. I came in just to get my poor little 2007 Macbook hard drive replaced (again). Thankfully I had it backed up so I wasn't as freaked out as the first time. The guys were very courteous and informative over the phone, and even better in person. I had been thinking about a new computer anyway, but kept putting it off because my Apple tastes weren't in sync with my PC budget. (ha) After discussing my options on the hard drive issue, I browsed the laptops on sale and saw great deals on great machines with lots of upgrade options. It was going to be about $100 bucks or so to do the hard drive, and as we chatted, the salesperson, Jared, also informed me about the possible trade-in value of my Macbook and then he answered all my questions about the laptops on sale. He called his manager about the trade-in value, and by the time we were done, I walked out with a good-as-new Macbook with an upgrade of 8G of RAM, a bigger hard drive, and my data transferred. There's a 1yr warranty, and also future service benefits. If you don't mind a gently-used machine with very minor cosmetic damage, but a brand-spanking-new interior, please check them out for machines, and definitely for service. If you are looking for a place to fix a cracked Iphone screen, look no further! Seriously... I went to another place before I found this one but the screen quality was so bad that I had them put my old cracked one back on and I am so glad I found The Orchard!! First of all, the price was wayyy better, and they actually use Apple quality screens. Beautiful work, highly recommend.
