I've always believed service can make or break a dining experience. And that's one of the things that makes this place great. Not crowded at all on a Thursday at 6 pm for dinner although folks started trickling in as the evening went along. We were actually on our way to Popeyes but decided to get a real dinner here instead as we passed by. The dinner rolls - omg. Worth the cheat. Lit like a Christmas tree with butter and glistening with butter and what tasted like maybe a hint of honey as it's slightly sweet. The food was pretty good although the Meatloaf had a couple of onion rings on top that were chewy AF. Ack. Toss to side. The meatloaf itself was better although not as good as my mom used to make it. I guess that's always the guess ands conflict of interest. Note, the cheaper $5 sides can be substituted for the green beans and/or mashed potatoes. Or you can pay $2 each to substitute either of them out with the $7 sides. I substituted the beans for fries which had a slight coating and were nice and fresh. Chicken fried steak was better than the meatloaf imho. We got the jalapeño gravy which is the white cream gravy with jalapeños. Tasty and not too spicy. For desert check out the huge cakes in the display case. For us, we had to try the brown butter banana pudding for my kids sake. Little Minion. But it did not disappoint. Our waiter said he used to drive 2 hours from college just for it. And it was good. It did not have a artificial yellow color like most places. Perhaps due to the brown butter (whatever that is). But it was good and the wafers were crunchy both on top and on the bottom. Decor is nice. Wood. They were setting up Xmas decorations and I bet it's really cozy in there. I could hear the staff talking with some regulars. With the fantastic service it kinda reminded me of Cheers - a place to relax with good company and a great staff.
Food was delicious! Service was great and atmosphere is Nice...I haven't been in several years, but every time I come it is so good!! Now, I want to go back and try the chicken pot pie. The desserts were huge and looked delicious also!
This place was amazing--food, service, and atmosphere. My husband and I stopped in on a rainy Thursday night, hungry and looking to try something new. We were warmly welcomed and told to sit wherever we liked. We started with the fried mushrooms, crispy and delicious. For our entrées, I had the Omega Chicken and he had the smothered pork chops. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The green beans with crispy bacon and seasoned mashed potatoes were the perfect sides. His pork chops were so tender, he said they melted in his mouth. We also loved the peach Bellini and by request the sangria/Bellini mix--so good. Omega Grill, you're now one of our favorites. We'll definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic food, the waitress listened and made suggestions according to our taste, and she completely not only nailed it but exceeded all of our expectations. Our waitress was jasmine, and she was very attentive and informative, and knew the menu inside and out. Brendan came over and made sure that everything was going smoothly, and he was very accessible and approachable and friendly. What dishes that we have? The shrimp and grits and the chicken fried chicken bowl.. OMG, we were completely blown away! Put this place on your short list for your next outings.
this place is so teaaa. i loved it and the environment is very friendly and clean. the server is inviting when you walk in. i went 2 times and the first time i got the chicken and waffles, half captain crunch and half regular with spicy syrup. the second time i got the baby back ribs with truffle fries and caramel apples. they were amazing! i recommend this to anyone and everyone.
The thing I loved about this place the most was the fact that they are extremely flexible when it comes to substituting proteins or carbs to each customer's needs and wants. They were very open to any changes, while doing Keto that becomes super appreciated. The place is inviting, they have booths and tables. They have TVs and a rotating display of cakes. I ordered the steak salad and it came with a generous amount of steak. Nowadays, most places serve only a few thin slices of steak. This was an abundant salad along with abundant steak. We had a delicious spinach and artichoke dip, and my family tried their chocolate cake. They licked their spoons. I will for sure come back to this place, I definitely recommend
Me and a few friends went to omega grill on a Monday afternoon. The food was ok and the service was pretty good. I got the fried chicken and waffles. It was pretty good but not spectacular. The chicken pot pie was a little bland and unseasoned. The htx cheese was ok & the fried mushrooms were decent. Our waiter was really good! He was helpful and checked up on us regularly The vibe of the restaurant was decent, pretty typical grill aesthetic. Overall - it was alright
I took my mom to see her great granddaughter, my 1st grandchild, who was born last week. It was a great time. A 4 generational moment. (With a lot of pics) So as soon as we got back in my truck, she said she was so hungry and wanted Chinese food. Like a buffet. I said I got a better idea. And off we went. We went into The Omega Grill and were seated by a friendly hostess, who turned out to be our waitress as well. I've been to OG a few times. I wouldn't bring my 87 yo mother here if it weren't good. She went with the chicken pot pie and I went with the Omega bowl. Food served. See pics. My Omega Bowl was awesome. Fried chicken, mashed taters, grilled corn, cheese and I went with the jalapeño gravy - I like it spicy. So dammmm good. This was a new one for me. If I was to make it, not sure what I would change. My mom had the chicken pot pie. I sneaked a bite. Very good. Lots of chicken and the top was a pastry puff type. Very good. When our waitress brought our food, I asked for some hot sauce, Texas, not Louisiana- too much vinegar. She said they had Bravado and it was made by one of their mgrs - see pic. There were 3, I tried all but liked the Arbol Chili & Garlic. Great flavor with just the right amount of heat. My mom loved here meal and so did I. I enjoyed mine as well. Never had a bad meal here ever. Can't wait int the next adventure here.
Stopped by for a quick dinner before a concert. The French onion soup was not good. The flavor was off and they used mozzarella on top I think which is not ideal for this dish. The sandwich and fries were really good and the meatloaf was nice too. We also got a slice of cake, they looked really nice in the case but it was not worth it. All the drinks tasted off the day I went. Not sure if it was just post hurricane issue or what but both the water and sodas tasted wrong. The servers were really nice but I probably would not go again.
Reviews are largely positive. People highlight the fresh and flavorful food, creative comfort dishes, and attentive and friendly service in a welcoming atmosphere.

This place is so good that so far on this vacation my husband and I have eaten there twice this trip! We went for dinner and both ordered the chicken fried steak with mash and jalapeño gravy. We had lunch the next day and got the fork and knife. We might even go again before we go home. Also the prices here were insanely affordable and the staff is so nice and attentive. read more
Wanted to try something new and yelp lead us to The Omega Grill. Would defiantly recommend the homemade meatloaf, which comes with real mashed potatoes. I had the jalapeño gravy. It was good, but not spicy. The meat ball sub was also good. The only negative was our wait for our food was a bit long. We will visit again. read more

I don't really like writing reviews on take home orders but felt I needed to address some small issues. I've visited Omega Grill many times and even held a birthday party here. The service is always great and the food is good. One thing I really enjoy about this place is the "specials" menu that changes weekly. Their regular menu is great and I do have some favorites which makes it hard when I come in and the weekly menu has something that sounds better than what I went in for lol. So the small issues I want to address are mainly because I've never had these issues when I eat there, only when taking home. My personal favorite is the captain crunch chicken tenders with their homemade jalapeño gravy. The tenders have a very nice sweet church from the cereal breading that pairs great with the jalapeño gravy. The problem is this is the second time I was given regular gravy and not the jalapeño one. I even asked before I left "you gave me the jalapeño gravy right" and I was told yes. Seems like a small inconvenient but when you have your taste buds ready for something and it's not what you get it's a big disappointment. The second issue was the tenders were over cooked for a second time. Again these are issue I've never experience while eating there. I'm not sure why the food would differ when ordering to go but I will bring it to their attention on my next visit. I would recommend this place for a nice dinner but not for to go orders. read more

The place is a nice wide open restaurant that is warm and inviting with modern design. Several televisions gives it a homey vibe, and for the homestyle cooking they give, it certainly makes sense. The servers are attentive and nice and clean empty tables super fast, which given the modern world is a huge plus. The prices are extremely fair, especially given their liberal portions. I got the Southern Bowl with Fried Chicken - can be sub for fried steak - and it was hearty and filling. The Chicken is super tender with a nice crisp batter, the corn is perfectly cooked and adds a nice juicy bite with each spoonful, the mash was super fluffy and thick, and the jalapeno gravy gives a nice kick to it - it can be brown or white as well. The menu also has a build your own burger where one can chose more interesting meats like bison or lamb or for your tender basket, you can get captain crunch batter. read more

My husband and I visited Omega Grill on Valentines Day and enjoyed amazing live music and delicious food. It was my second visit. They are a bit hidden in the humongous strip, but it's a cozy place with great food. Highly recommend! read more

Second visit = MUCH better service. Kevin was on top of the ball. Food: -Stuffed jalapeno appetizer dish was awesome. Well suited for a table for two (first visit cheese dip lasted through two servings of chips and we still took some home with us!). The breading was crunchy and thin and the peppers had a pleasant level of spice. -My shrimp and grits was flavorful and filling. I saw a yelp photo of this dish and wanted to check out the smoked Gouda grits. My plate came with unexpected jalapenos. Though they are not on the menu, or in the photo I saw, they worked well with the sweet tomatoes ** You can order a side of Gouda grits with any entree ** -Charlie ranked their chicken fried chicken in his top five! He chose the jalapeno gravy over brown or cream for his dish and fries for the side. I could not resist asking for extra napkins this visit... and Kevin passed with flying colors. He brought a hefty stack out for the table :) so many that he restocked my glove box napkin supple. A few of Omega's entrees (fish of the day, grilled pork chops) are served with the "sauce of the day." Kevin humored my request to sample the day's choice sauce -- and came back with THREE different ones! The only thing Kevin did not do during our visit was take me serious when I asked him to write down what each sauce was. Everyone knows I have an awesome memory, though, so no biggie. The favors were: Plum & Apple (favorite), Portobello (surprisingly did not enjoy), Apricot & Mustard (very thick) Ps, I have a terrible memory. This is probably my new favorite lunch spot. There's a 'seat yourself' policy which I love, because there's been many times at other restaurants where I've hated the table given to me. I like being able to choose NOT to sit next to the crying kids or where the AC blows directly on me. Service is always great and the place is always very clean. One of my favorite items is the jalapeño gravy. It's so good, you almost want to just eat it with a spoon. Their salads are large and filling too. My favorite is the Greek salad. They're generous with the olives and capers. Prices are very fair and I like that you can usually get in and out fairly quickly if you're in a hurry. The dessert selection could be better, but I would still go here even if the desserts were nonexistent. read more

Do yourself a favor..EAT HERE. if i could give more stars..I would. I had the chicken fried steak, french fries and regular cream gravy. The BEST i have ever had, even the texas toast was oh so good. My husband had the meatloaf, mash and green beans and ate every bite. We shared the chips & queso and yes that was amazing too. We will definitely be back. The Omega Grill is definitely worth a try! I'll be going back very soon! Here's how our visit went: As soon as we walked in, I was instantly impressed with the atmosphere: decor, cleanliness, the choice of music (Vampire Weekend, The Shins, Death Cab, etc...), and most of all, the very welcoming staff! We were waited on immediately. As looked over the menu, I was shocked by the incredibly inexpensive menu items (i.e., Shrimp & Grits for $12). The food was delicious and we left fat and happy. read more
Located in a shopping strip, came in Saturday for early dinner. The setting is kind of small but the food is great! I ordered the chicken fried steak, so good and filling I took part of it home. The mashed potatoes tastes homemade, something like my grandma would make. I got jalapeño dipping sauce and it was tasty with the meal. My friend got their sandwich and liked it. Everything is made fresh and service was nice, will come back for the yummy mashed potatoes! read more

Pretty disappointing. I order a couple of cocktails and they poured it out of a can into a glass, not very impressed. I ordered the blackened catfish with shrimp over grits and it was not appetizing. The food didn't taste fresh and the grits looked like they were old. The po boy was very disappointing. Didn't taste or look good. Service was great though, they waiter was very nice but he didn't have much knowledge on the food or drinks we were ordering read more

I'm from out of state and was recommended this place by a friend. 2 words. Soooooo good. I got the captain crunch chicken tenders and chili cheese fries. First the tenders were perfect, no fatty pieces, not too thin or thick pieces. The tenders are sweet and are paired with a magical dipping sauce. AND the chili cheese fries. OMG! Def too much for 1 person alone (lesson learned) but they were perfection. read more

Omega Grill was a decent lunch on the way to Conroe for the weekend. The food was a hit or miss depending on what you ordered, but I'll admit the service was great. Restrooms were clean which was greatly appreciated because the drive up to Conroe is a solid drive coming from closer to the Galveston area. The grilled chicken sandwich with the ghost pepper sauce and grilled pineapple was delicious and not as spicy as you would think. The shrimp po boy was awful in comparison. There were only 6 small to medium sized shrimp compared to this huge chunk of bread, half of your bites were filled with just lettuce and sauce. The fried chicken bowl was good as it was filled with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, corn, gravy, and cheese, not much you could mess up here. And last but not least was their meatloaf plate. This by far had the best presentation. The mashed potatoes/gravy were creamy, the green beans were my favorite, the onion rings were crispy, but the meatloaf itself was kinda dry. Overall Omega Grill wasn't bad, but I don't think I would come here again. I'd rather take my chances with another nearby restaurant. read more

Found this restaurant tucked away in a shopping plaza. Ordered the brunch burger which has a fried egg, bacon, avocado and a few different kind of cheeses. It was absolutely delicious. The burger was cooked well, all of the toppings were fresh and delicious. Service it was fast and friendly. I would definitely come back if I am ever in the area. read more
