The place is very neat. Great ambiance, food was good. When we walk out, staff didn't seems to cared. Not so friendly. We had to send back a side bacon dish that claimed it's thick bacon but got 3 little pieces for $8.99 is pretty pricey. The food was good we had salmon Benedict pancakes included and a fruit parfait. The highlight in my opinion was the parfait. The fruit and granola were layered perfectly with the yogurt. We visited friends living in Sequim and they brought us here for a late lunch. A wonderful place, not for the ambiance but for the food and wonderful service. We discovered that we were ordering our meals close to their closing time. Know what? Staff said, take your time and don't mind us as we begin to close-out and clean up. As a dining guest, I couldn't take pics of all the great food that four of us ordered, ate, and took home. I was completely impressed with the quality of our orders and the very kind service. So, I listened to the reviews and they were dead on. We were driving from Forks to Silverdale and this location in Sequim was perfect because I was starving. This place is so cute and the food is filling and delicious. Our server was really nice and kept our drinks filled; very attentive with no hovering. I can never find good silver dollar pancakes anywhere so had to order. Also, please seriously get the bacon! It was smoky and thick aka heaven. Our table was quiet right after the food hit. Delicious and something a little different. It's also family owned and ran as are their other locations which I think is great. 10/10 would throw down again. read more

Came here while visiting Olympic! First off, I really liked the inside decor and vibe. It was very homey and welcoming, and the service was wonderful and speedy. As a vegetarian, I got the Viennese coffee and mushroom omelet that came with potato pancakes. I was afraid the coffee would be super sweet, but it was damn good. The espresso whip cream was so light and delicious. Yum! The omelet was good, but a little cheesy for me. It tasted great with the hot sauce they have from Spokane, WA. I was excited for potato pancake, but for some reason it didn't hit the spot. I think mainly because it wasn't seasoned, more fried than I expected, and I wish the potatoes were grated better. Out in that neck of the woods, we came across this cafe in Sequim. As we were waiting to be seated, I was impressed with an exchange I overheard between a customer and a member of the cafe (I am assuming this was the owner). It went something like this... "Thanks for brunch again and uh, I think something fell into your pocket there." When the cafe rep reached into his pocket, he found a 10-spot. That particular patron had already left the building, so this rep gave the money back to a member of his party stating,"you guys don't need to do that, I'm just happy to see you enjoy yourselves." Yum!! The second I stepped inside I knew this restaurant must be related to the Chestnut Cottage in Port Angeles! The charm and enticing menu along with the front entrance were a complete giveaway! Let's talk food, so we had the strawberry waffle, peach waffle, traditionalist and Eggs Nicole. The strawberry waffle is piled with fresh strawberries and comes with either ice cream or whipped cream. Oh my it looked and tasted glorious and the peach waffle is not fresh peaches but comes in a sweet glaze that got two thumbs ups for my little one. I opted for the soup, salad, warm buttered roll trio. My husband turkey on croissant sandwich w/ waffle fries - everything was delicious. And since we were in the lavender capital of the west, I had to try the lavender lemonade - it was delicious! I love there food and mimosas. This is one of the few restaurants that did everything right. You must be vaccinated to seat inside and show proof or if you are not vaccinated there is outdoor seating. We were seated immediately, the server took our orders relatively fast. So our go-to breakfast place is Original Pancake House. We would choose this one were it an equitable option where we live. They're a lot faster at the oven baked apple pancake and French mushroom omelette, and the omelette was more flavorful. The bacon is also quite delicious. Only thing that wasn't up to par were the potato pancakes, which I can forgive once. Super fast service, delicious food that feels homemade, and it was worth leaving Sol Duc Hot Springs early to get here before they closed. read more
