YES. Eat here. My friend and I found this place while passing through town. Amazing food. Excellent service. Homey aesthetic. Open for breakfast and lunch, this cafe boasts German, eastern European and American fare and a large menu. There are menu items I've never seen before. Everything is made from scratch; all the juice is freshly squeezed, there are no mixes, and it's family owned and operated. I saw that the Apple Pancake was being advertised at the top of a page. It advertised freshly peeled and cut apples inside a dough that's at least 3" tall and covered in a cinnamon glaze. I went for it. My friend got a more traditional breakfast. When our server asked if I wanted any sausage or anything, I ordered a side of sausage. Was that a mistake. Not because it was bad - it was really, really good sausage - but that Apple Pancake was a giant disc of fluff and fruit. I inhaled as much as I could, and my friend dug in too, and I ended up taking more than half and the sausage in a to go box. It takes longer to make, and the server let me know that when I ordered it. She also suggested coming back one day at lunch time and getting it served a la mode. My friend loved his food, saying it tasted amazing. The cafe is decorated to look like your grandma's house. Dark wood, antiques, and floral wallpaper. There's al fresco dining available. They sell some of their jam and other goodies in the front of the restaurant. We have been a fan of this restaurant for years but today was a reminder of just how great a job they do. Our server Caron was amazing and attentive without bugging us. What a nice person! The French style omelette with Italian sausage and spinach was to die for. The patty melt was perfect, the shrimp salad amazing and the ham sandwich sublime. The pancakes are hard to describe and are so good that when you have pancakes at other breakfast restaurants you don't want to take a second bite. read more

Okay. I see why this place has such high ratings. Soooo delicious. Food is like an experience exploded in your mouth in all the best ways. We ordered the salmon Benedict that comes with 4 buttermilk pancakes and shared it. I substituted one of the buttermilk pancakes for a potato pancake because it just sounded interesting. My husband is not a foodie but a hard critic when it comes to pancakes. Let's just say he has decided he has to come back to "investigate" these pancakes. LOL! Buttermilk pancakes are light and fluffy, made with sourdough. Smooth texture and just flat out delicious. Homemade creamy butter. Not sure if they put flour in it too but sourdough itself is FODMAP friendly, easier on the gut. The hollandaise sauce was smooth, creamy and savory. So flavorful. Eggs were poached perfectly, light and fluffy, with that perfect yoke consistency that isn't too runny nor too thick. They know what they're doing with egg poaching! Honestly, I could have just eaten poached eggs with hollandaise sauce lol. Service: is everyone in the service industry in Sequim just super friendly or what? Everyone was super nice and they are so accommodating to custom orders. They are known for pancakes and very flexible if you want to switch out or try a combo of different pancakes with your main dish. Our server was so sweet! We were curious about the difference between buttermilk and flapjacks and she let us try a sample of the flapjacks. They remind me more of a Swedish pancake, also delicious. There's a line but seriously do not let that deter you!!!! This place is super efficient and fast! It was two of us and there was a line out the door. We only had a 10 minute wait! I thought it would be at least 45 minutes! Once inside, you can see how quickly they work and how organized they are getting orders out, and tables cleared and cleaned up. We ate at the Oak Table Cafe twice for breakfast while we were in the area. If I were basing my review off the first time only, it would have been 5 stars. The second visit food wise for me wasn't as spectacular. I would rate the restaurant a 3.5 between my two experiences, but sadly we don't have half ratings so I am rounding up since the service was not an issue. My first visit, I got a half order of the apple pancakes. DREAMY, I tell you. I can't imagine what a full order looks like as the half order was three pancakes. Inside the pancake, there are pieces of fresh warm apples, and the edges are sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. The pancakes come with apple syrup freshly made on the side, and the combination of all these touches is heavenly. Our second visit, I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The meal comes with potato latkes, and how I envisioned it in my head wasn't how it worked out. The latkes were under the benedicts, and the middle was covered in hollandaise sauce which made them soggy. They also didn't taste like or have the texture of latkes I have previously ate. They were served with applesauce and sour cream. I think I ate two bites of that meal, and I definitely didn't take anything home. I am not sure why the benedict would be put over the potato latkes, but I wasn't a fan of any of it. My husband got omelettes both days and enjoyed them. The omelettes are very eggy. I am not into very thick egg omelettes myself, but if you like that this is for you. The items in the omelettes and cheese were distributed evenly which we are a big fan of! My husband is diabetic so he doesn't get butter on his toast. One day it was dry, and another it wasn't. The toast was replaced the one time it had it on it. He hates asking, but I know he needs some carbs so I don't mind asking. I ordered the fresh orange juice both times, and it was really good. My husband tried the coffee, but wasn't really into it. The service was great. Everyone is super nice, and my con was really food related. We met this one guy who seemed to be a local. He was talking to a few of the waitresses, and he was one of the highlights of our trip. A service man with a lot of wisdom and love for his country. That made of for my blip of food. From what we could tell, this restaurant had the best reviews in the area for food. read more

Generous is the word I'd use to describe this place. Other places seem to try to see how little you need to leave satisfied. But not here. This place does not hold back in food or proportions. If you get the German Pancake be prepared to walk out with a box in shame. Nothing you can do will compete with the mythic dish. The baked omelette was very good too, fluffy and flavorful. Outrageously good! We were passing through Sequim on our way through the Peninsula and decided to get breakfast there. It was perhaps the best breakfast I've ever had. Not kidding. There was a decent wait time, about 25 minutes. And inside the restaurant was jam-packed (Sunday) but it was all worth it. Here is the breakdown: 5/5 Lavender Lemonade: Fresh, real lemonade, not too sweet, the way lemonade should be. 5/5 Apple Pancake (dutch baby): HUGE. Definitely shareable. It was a fluffy, warm, wonderful apple and cinnamon piece of heaven. Excellent choice. TIP: Ask for real maple syrup. The standard is not real but apparently, they do keep the real stuff on hand. 3/5 Blueberry Pancakes: This would have been a 5/5 except one of my pancakes was still raw in the middle. But the two that were fully cooked were excellent and brimming with plump juicy blueberries. The pancakes were fluffy and had crispy edges. 3/5 Potatoes: They could have used more spice and been more crunchy on the edges. They were somewhat soft all around and I like a good crispy-edged potato with plenty of seasoning. But they were still good. 5/5 Scrambled Eggs + Hollandaise: The BEST eggs I've ever had. They were light, fluffy, butter-basted, and so damn good. I added a side of hollandaise and that was THE best hollandaise I've also ever had. Chef's kiss. 5/5 Bacon: Thick cut, cooked well, crispy edges, not too salty. 5/5 Viennese Coffee: Indulgent! Espresso, cinnamon, vanilla, and a MOUNTAIN of whipped cream. 5/5 Service: Everyone was friendly and efficient. Plates came fast and despite being crazy busy the whole place seemed to work like a well-oiled machine. 5/5 Parking: Parking was easy with a large easily accessible lot behind the restaurant. This place left me wanting more. One of those places you miss after the trip is over. A must-visit if you are in the area. read more

We were in the area over the weekend with a couple of friends. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly we were seated despite the long line of people, likely a testament to their great food. The inside was quite spacious and cozy. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict with the buttermilk pancakes. I was very pleased with the food and thought it was delicious! The servers were pleasant and very attentive, regularly coming by to refill our coffee. Overall, thought the food and service was excellent. Oh my goodness!! This place is so so so cute. Like absolutely adorable!! I loved it so so much upon walking in. Great place in Sequim! Shared a ham and cheese omelette and some of their famous extra thick 1/2 pound bacon. The omelette was massive, prepared French style so it was nice and fluffy. The bacon tasted good, but I think the extra thick was a bit of a stretch but tasty nonetheless. Flavors were good so it was a complete filling breakfast with the short stack. The service was awesome! Our server was great at guiding us through the menu and quick to get us anything we needed. Only thing that was a bit of a turn off, was their "covid" policy. I know we are all tired of mandates, vax'd cards etc. but if your making policy stick with your policy. As you walk into the restaurant there are no less than 3 mask mandate signs before you get to the hostess desk. Two gentlemen walked in before us without masks. The hostess looked at them and took them to the patio, nothing said about donning a mask whatsoever. They didn't show a vax card and off they went. We walk up and our asked to present t ours. I asked about the policy and the hostess said she would look into it. There was an additional sign that said if you eat on the patio you do not need to show your vax card, so in other words we will gladly walk your unmasked, unvax'd person through the restaurant and serve you on the patio. This is our favorite bunch place whenever we are in town. We ordered the french toast, pancakes, eggs Casey (three eggs scrambled with bits of bacon and cheddar served on a croissant with mushroom gravy on top and served with a side of pancakes). So so good!! The portions are generous and they have a large variety of brunch and lunch options. The staff is very polite and courteous. Despite there being a large crowd, service was pretty fast. Service dogs and emotional support dogs are allowed inside; while other pets are allowed in the outdoor/ patio seating area. We went to this place because it had a ton of great reviews and we were looking for a good brunch spot. We were starving after all the hiking from a day before and not having a proper dinner so we went ahead and ordered both sweet and savory dishes. Let me tell you, the portions are huge!! When I ordered the apple cinnamon pancake, I expected anything but the enormous pancake that we got. Not only it was the biggest pancake I ever had, but probably the most tasty one too. It has a great caramelized bottom and comes with their homemade apple sauce. And if you think applesauce and apple pancakes doesn't work, think again after trying this. We also ordered eggs Benny and a Western Omelet. Both of them come with a side of potato pancakes so we subbed one of those with the village style potatoes, and it was a great move as those are delicious! They are thinly sliced potatoes, well seasoned and panfried. Both of those dishes were just as good as the apple pancake. If I lived in the area, I don't see a reason why I wouldn't want to come here every weekend as their menu is as wide as it gets! read more

This place really stands out above the rest when it comes to their food, their flavors and their customer service! Located in Sequim not too far from the highway, they are absolutely worth a detour. I hate to review them simply because I don't like competition when trying to get a table but these folks have earned five stars from me. The atmosphere is cozy and the place is usually buzzing with activity. Once your seated, you'll be treated like family. They've been open for a long time and they don't have any issues with making your order just the way you ask for it. Need a substitution? You got it! Something not come out right? They'll fix it and if they don't, they'll make it right in other ways. They have a fairly large menu with mostly traditional offerings but then there are the few specialties. You'll want to try one! The apple soufflé was delicious and was something very different and unique. It was very large even with four people splitting there was still a lot left!
