Calling this place a cafe doesnt do it justice. With homemade preserveres to homemade hollindase and sour cream evety dish and every bite is a delight. With vaulted celings that lower the chatter noise to ceiling fans that bring a welcome small breeze, it somehow maintains that mom and pop feel that makes you feel like youre at home eating with family. Service with a smile and getting a table at 2pm was a breeze. They have earned every star ive given them. My dad just moved into the area and loves the food. I live in California and called the restaurant to see if I could surprise him and pay for it. Not only were they able to do it but Rocio called me to tell me the plan was in action and sent me a video of them surprising my dad. The Oak Table is hands-down the best breakfast place we've ever been to in all of our years of traveling, about 40+. We've been here several times in the last 10 years but thought that we would leave an updated yelp review. This place is consistently wonderful. My husband loves it so much he wants to move here. We plan our vacation around eating here. The servers are always so pleasant and the coffee pot comes around often for refills. Everything is delicious, but the buttermilk pancakes are the stars! We've never tasted a pancake this good in all of our travels or in all of my experiments at home. I got the blueberry pancakes this time just to be different and they were quite good also. The bacon is awesome, the eggs are perfectly cooked, and they give you a little bit of fruit with your meal. Thank you for such a satisfying breakfast! We left very happy! read more

Oak Culture Whenever we vacation, we *rarely* ever go to the same restaurant twice, as we'd much rather diversify our dining options in order to sample what the area has to offer. However, after just one breakfast here at Oak Table, we were hooked and knew we had to come back for a 2nd day. The Good: *Coffee is delicious and served with real cream the way it should be. *Server John is the real star of this joint and is fantastic at his job. He hustles, checks on you and has time to carry a conversation when the restaurant is slow, of course. Whatever they're paying him--double it! *Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes! All three types (buttermilk, 49er, Apple) of pancakes we sampled were absolutely incredible! If I had to choose a favorite, it would be a toss-up between the buttermilk and 49er, but maybe a slight edge to the 9er for its incredible texture and concomitant Lingonberry jam. *Their breakfast potatoes are some of the best I've ever had: crispy, perfectly seasoned and lots of caramelized onions slipped in-between the taters. *Quiche du Jour was fully loaded with goodies; the crust was crisp and bursting with buttery flavor. *The restaurant has a homey vibe, classy, old-timey décor and lots of locals to keep it interesting. The Meh: *Their bacon came with a lot of hype, but honestly, it was just OK. I've had much better elsewhere. The Ugly: *They're in Sequim and not near me... :'( Which, in hindsight, is probably a good thing since I'm already morbidly obese, these guys would be the death of me--a delicious, sweet death but death nonetheless. TLDR: If you're staying/visiting/live in the Port Angeles/Sequim area, then run--don't walk here! Plus, running will burn more calories and you can eat more. :8) *oink oink* read more

LOVE- a constantly busy restaurant but w/ short wait times, lovely service, and even better food. Expect rich comfort foods! The fresh squeezed (that morning) OJ was so good and tasted fresh. Ok ya all I am a HUGE fan of The Oak Table restaurant and their food!! $$$ But unfortunately Sequim has lost their drive to deliver. The servers DO NOT work as a team. Nope they will not see you if you aren't their table. Our Viennese coffees were delicious but just as I was bragging about the High whip cream that usually comes with it( super impressive). A table behind us Was in fact delivered such a cup as I described so consistency is also a problem here. When Asked how my food was and if everything was good... I had to be honest it was NOT! I told her it taste like it had been microwaved ... and not good she in fact said they heat it in the microwave... it was Quiche and for any real Quiche lovers out there you know it should be a flaky crust at the bottom. It was gooey and hard to cut or chew. I did not eat it nor was I offered something else, nor was I asked by checkout in the front how my meal was. They knew... but made NO attempt to fix it. I stuck with the toast ( that I had to send back because it was cold and butter was just sitting on top) The fruit was Seasonal worthy and good. But 65$ no give a damn I wont be returning to Sequim Oak Table sadly. read more

Expensive but well worth it. The omelettes are beyond good and even the fresh squeezed orange juice is superior to any I've had. Very interesting breakfast menu. Many of the dishes come with a side of pancakes, which are also superior. But if you are getting pancakes, request a large plate. They serve them on a small plate which guarantees your syrup will go on the table. Still don't understand that part of it. That is my only complaint. This little cafe is amazing - stop in on your way through Sequim, you will not be disappointed! There was a little bit of wait, as this place is popular for a reason, but it was short and the staff were very friendly. Fantastic menu, varied with so many good choices, it was hard to decide. Street parking can be a little tricky when their slammed, but we were seated pretty darned quick. Didn't love the drafty windows next to our table because we were a little cold already and felt we couldn't take our jackets off. However, the menu offered soooo many tasty options. I was very pleased with my 49er cakes, but I'm glad the misses shared some bacon with me because this is a huge amount to neck down as a solo offering. Maybe share this with someone and get some sides to complement. Overall much love to this place (Silverdale gives this name/chain a bad spin don't let that effect your decision to dine here or you'll truly miss a treat!) The apple pancake is dessert for breakfast 1) it's a big as a plate 2) tastes like a cross between apple pie and apple crumb dessert with the crispy topping 3) they also serve it with this special syrup that also maybe was apple cinnamon? It was amazing but can easily be split between two. I heard the blueberry pancakes got a huge two thumbs up from another of my party. The service staff was very nice and the place has a very cottage/tea room feel. Very quaint. This town is adorable too- so I don't recommend skipping the town or this restaurant.
