This was a pick up order. The potato pancakes were big, tasted really great, would definitely order again. Bacon was crisp as asked for. The corn beef hash was tasty & they added lots of onions as requested, but the portion was very disappointing, would have had more out of can, it was also a bit on the greasy side. This is my go-to post-night-out diner, which I've been frequenting for years. That being said, I don't know why it only has 2.5 stars? It's a diner, not a fancy restaurant. You definitely get your bang for your buck here, and the food is good. Last Saturday, a friend and I came in around 10:30 and were seated promptly. You know how after a night out, your body craves something of substance? Well, I was in need of some warm, filling homefries, and what I got was even better. Their breakfast potatoes are moist and flavorful--I didn't know I preferred actual potatoes over homefries until now. These babies were served with a delicious country fried steak smothered in gravy, over-easy eggs, and toast. You could tell that the steak was high quality from its flavor and texture, and it had a crisp breading on it. All 4 of these things complemented each other nicely, and along with some OJ and coffee, I was a happy camper. My friend got the southwest omelette, which she enjoyed. My family used to eat here a lot and I remember it being really fun and delicious. When I came back to it today, it was very different. It was very dirty - just completely run down and actually dirty. The menu had sticky globs of food all over it! The seat on my booth had about a 5 inch round hole in it. The salad I ordered had peppers so spoiled on it that I could just hear Gordon Ramsey screaming "how could you serve that to anybody?!" This is a nice family restaurant that I used to go to with my mom and daughter 25 years ago! We enjoyed our meals then and it's still good today. I hadn't been there since I moved back. The food was great and our waitress was fabulous! Still the nutcrackers around too. Felt so comfortable. I had leftover pork roast and stuffing to bring home. It was tender and the gravy was very good. I also had a nice salad that I chose to bring home for later. My friend had the BLT with chips which she enjoyed. The crab bisque was thick and rich with a lot of pieces of crabmeat. It was very tasty. Now I'm back I Webster I will be coming here more often! read more

Read a review about how good the Patty melt was. One of my favorites. I met a friend there and we were catching up, so I didn't scour the menu all that well. When I asked the waitress if they still served Patty melts because I didn't see it on the menu, she said "you must not have looked too hard". What I got was a hamburger, if you could call it that, with American cheese and a few sautéed onions on a tiny bun, not on grilled rye bread as it's supposed to be. I think they dug the hamburger, if you could call it that, out of the bottom of the freezer after it had been run over by an 18 wheeler a few times. Worst hamburger I've ever had (not exaggerating) and I've had a few in my 64 years. Fries were pretty good. Lousy service by a waitress that seemed bothered we were there. And there was only one other party in the whole restaurant when we went in the mid afternoon. Lousy hamburger. We agreed we will never, ever go back. Don't waste your time or money. Too many good choices a stones throw away. I usually chalk up a bad experience as just that, forget about it and move on, but this was so bad, I felt had to get on the Yelp app and warn others. read more

my boyfriend and i tried this place out because our usual sunday spot was closed early for christmas. our waitress was nice but she was by herself so was flustered and forgot some things. i ordered the mediterranean panini and my boyfriend ordered pancakes and bacon. it took almost an hour to get our food and i was not pleased with mine for the amount of time waiting to get it. the panini was average and didn't come out with the side of fries so i was waiting over 10 minutes for them and they had no flavor. my boyfriend said the pancakes were good but everything else was just average. bathroom in main dining room is not very clean and smells of straight sewage. really wanted this place to be our new spot but was pretty disappointed:( read more

I like to just drink coffee and read my paper before I order, but, she acted offended when I said that and then thought the waitresses hardly spoke after taking my order. Coffee refills were slow coming and one was over-poured spilling to the table. I used my only napkin as a coaster. My egg omelette was placed on the table without a word! Didn't ask if I needed anything else (hot sauce, jelly, etc. ) and had to ask for more napkins which were also placed on the table without a word. I highly recommend you to try this resturant. The food is very good from breakfast to dinners. They have the best fish frys in town. With their dinner meals you get a salad bar, rolls, soup and a side all for a reasonable price. I've been going for years. More recently probably 2 -4 times a month. Staff is very pleasant. We went for lunch here, and were very disappointed. When we arrived, there were maybe 6 tables sat all together. Took extended time for someone to come over. We then were given dirty silverware, and the ledges next to us were dusty and dirty. Adults at the table had breakfast, and child had spaghetti which was a pretty good size portion. I had breakfast here for the first time last week and enjoyed it. Our waitress came and asked if we wanted a beverage within a minute and was back in no time with our beverages. We ordered breakfast and that only took about 5-7 minutes to prepare. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese, sausages, and Greek toast... Our waitress stopped by very often to ask if we needed refills on our drinks several times, and I was very happy with the taste of my coffee..I think I'm pretty fussy about that. My latest adventure to this restaurant was only because I wanted to stay close to home, I was out of choices, and I wanted some home style food. I ordered a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and got home to find out that they gave me a roast beef dinner. The roast beef was old and tough to chew. I did not finish it. The salad bar here is atrocious. All the lettuce was water logged and most of the other items on the bar were not fresh. Especially the mac salad. I threw it out as soon as I got home. This was our first visit and with the few reviews (& pretty negative at that) we were a bit hesitant. With few family spot options open after 6pm Sunday in the area we gave them a shot. Our waitress hustled, got our order right, and even with a steak well done, the food came very quickly. The menu is large and had a something for all our ages & tastes. One nice thing was the dinner comes with soup & salad bar... And you get your choice of soup (not just on the bar). I might end up addicted to the crab bisque, my wife isn't as in to spices, so found her lentil soup a bit spicy for her taste. The salad bar is small, but nice for free and the cole slaw & mac salad were very good. Portions are huge, so we ended up with 3 boxes & too full for dessert. My 8 year old didn't want me to end without saying his strawberry milkshake was excellent. They have space and parking for lots of folks, so I bet you'd rarely have trouble getting in. One nice thing I saw was a waitress handle a food complaint well and the customer seemed happy at the end. I also liked seeing her just hanging, chatting with people (it was getting late/slow)... We come here for breakfast. The banana nut pancakes are good and the service is excellent. They don't have real maple syrup so you will have to bring your own. They have recently started to allow in house dining so every other table is open for customer seating. I do recommend this place for breakfast. read more

Our waitress was nice, but heated our dessert in a dirty microwave which made it taste like cardboard, and the food reminded me of high school lunch. I have eaten here several times and the food is good been a favorite after Church breakfast place to go with my 84 year old mother. That said I will never go back after the attitude given my mother after waiting for over 10 minutes just to cash out. Kim who was very rude could have just told her sorry we are very busy but had to continue to insult my mother. I understand busy however they should be glad to be doing so well. We won't be going back..stopped there for a late lunch on a Sunday and this place doesn't feel or smell very clean. The food was below average....my Greek salad was not fresh and the chili tasted old and slightly burnt. My wife's eggs were OK....but the bacon also tasted old and a little off. Additionally, the staff was openly arguing with one another very loudly which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Below average food, poor service in an environment that feels VERY dirty. I've gone here many, many times and it's actually my favorite diner in Webster. The food prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is quite good too. They've recently updated the outside of their building and have new menus too, so if you haven't been there in a while, I'd recommend you paying it a visit. My favorite meal is the sky burger. I like how it's served on a quality bun (a lot of diners just put their burgers on the cheapest buns available). As an added bonus, the fries are thicker (steak fries), which I absolutely love! read more
