GAD Breakfast combo - sausage links and eggs over easy - see next pic for pancake!
    Laura R.

This awesome diner opened in August 2023 but today (12/16/23) was my first visit. My mom and I had heard about the "large" pancakes and were looking forward to trying them. The location is easy to find, on the end in a strip plaza. Plenty of parking and no steps to get inside. It is bright and clean with booths, tables and a counter. We stopped at the hostess station and even though it is a Saturday we were seated right away. It was a bit loud inside due to the high ceilings, lots of people, and holiday music. Bathrooms are not gender neutral but were clean. The menu is extensive but we came for breakfast and pancakes. Our server Jojo was great - friendly, efficient, helpful and kept my coffee cup full. The coffee and food were also great. I recommend the GAD Breakfast combo we each ordered it with a giant plate sized pancake. I had blueberries inside and outside of the pancake - very fresh and delicious with real butter. Real Maple syrup is also available for an up-charge. Neither of us finished the pancake but we did get a cardboard boxes to take leftovers home. We will definitely stop back with my hungry teenage sons!

I've always supported local over chain. It's sad to see one who insults it's customers. I get eggs are pricey, but at $17.50 3 eggs that are not real eggs at all. Liquid eggs that were awful, crusty and grey. Plus a hair. The waffle and bacon were good. If an establishment is going to use substitute, notified customers and adjust the price. Incredibly disappointed.

A bowl of everything, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and home fries.

Went here for breakfast on New Years Day it was pretty crowded with a 40 minute wait. When we were seated our waiter was very attentive. I had the blueberry French toast, it was awesome, I would have liked some whipped cream on top. The service and timely delivery of our meals was outstanding. Great portion size and reasonably priced. The restaurant was clean and bright.

That fucked up medium rare ribeye

Went there Sunday morning for breakfast, very busy wait was longer than they told us it was be but whatever, you feel me. Anyways I got the Cab steak I believe , it's steak and eggs. I got the eggs sunny side up and my steak medium rare. The steak was advertised in the menu as a ribeye idk wtf that was but it wasn't a ribeye. Anyways the first time it came out my steak was well done. Sent that back and got some vile excuse for a nicely cooked steak. I'll put the picture below. Didn't eat the steak. Everything else was truly mediocre. The best part of the meal was probably the churro waffle yummy and sweet. Back to bad things my girlfriend got something like the egg and the chicken, it's a breakfast sandwich. The chicken patty tasted like a school lunch patty from Greece schools, you could also compare that to a Byrne n Dairy chicken sandwich. Not bad but not diner quality I would hope. Also the sandwich came with no sauce or good toppings, just cheese chicken egg and bread. Just feel like it wouldn't be hard to do a little more there. Ambiance was fine I guess I mean it's a diner. Our server was all over wasn't to good with refills and extra service other than the main part of her job. So yeah over all if you want something sweet it's probably okay but if you want a breakfast with substance and cooked with love... go very far away from Great American Diner.

All of the others who didn't measure up." But take heart! All it takes is taking off the glasses and letting its hair down, and suddenly you realize just how attractive and special Railway Station Diner really is! It's the quintessential reliable diner. Above average food. Below average prices. Regulars. A counter. Good service. Quick service. The Mediterranean frittata was wholesome and filling. The ingredients, fresh. It came with roast (up charge for raisin toast, but worth it!). The breakfast sandwich with shred, too, was perfectly proportioned; the crunch of the English muffin and the squish of the sausage balanced each other exactly equally, like Neo and Smith in that third Matrix movie. But the true hidden gem was the muffin. Cut in half and grilled. With sugar crystals! Not too big. Not too small. Not so sweet as to be dessert-like. Just perfectly sweet enough to make you not regret "going savory" by getting the frittata as your main course. Next time you're asked about the best diners around, make sure Railway Station Diner is part of the pantheon.

There is someone just circling constantly with a pot. This is a cash only establishment, so be advised. There is an ATM. We did go at slightly off peak times, since we weren't working those days, but at those times, the restaurant seems to be a favorite of retired men, which is a good sign for a diner! They have a set menu and a specials board that I think changes daily. There's 2 full pages of breakfast, and at least 2 pages of lunch, plus the board. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I had the same thing both visits - a cheese omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was really cheesy, and I liked that it was a 2 egg omelet rather than 3, for me it was just the right size. We also split a piece of the rotating coffee cake, cinnamon walnut that day, and it was good - not too sweet, plenty of cinnamon. The guy had their 2-2-2 combo and was happy with that choice. For both of us, breakfast ran about $35, for 2 entrees and coffee, plus the cake.

All the staff we encountered in 2 dining experiences were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Best part is the food! Truly the star of this little local gem. Their breakfast selections are extensive, generously portioned and our choices were delicious. Again, we came here 2 days in a row. First day, we had omelettes. Western & greek. I had hashbrowns, hubby had home fries. Both were cooked perfectly. Crispy edges, soft & seasoned nicely. The next day, we came with our daughter. She has eggs benedict with side fresh fruit. Platter was huge with so much ham and potatoes with the eggs and Hollandaise, she couldn't finish it. Husband had an amazing special: a fried breakfast wrap with powdered sugar. Inside was everything! Pancake, eggs, sausage, cheese and hashbrowns. I had a bite, it was to die for. I chose the bacon cheeseburger omelette which i also loved. Our waitresses both times were attentive and so nice. Prices are good, portions are large! For breakfast, come here! And if there is a wait, I promise it's worth it!

Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences. We spent 2.5 hours total at the restaurant. After waiting an excessive amount of time, we watched two tables that arrived at least an hour after us receive their food first. When we politely asked if our ticket might have been missed, we were told those tables ordered before us, which simply wasn't true. We were then told the delay was because burgers take a long time but a nearly two-hour wait for a burger is pretty wild. It took about 25 minutes just for someone to take our drink order, and we were never asked if we wanted additional drinks. We had to flag staff down for everything. No ketchup, no hot sauce, nothing offered. The $30 mimosa flight served in tiny glasses also felt like a complete scam. When the food finally came, two people in our party were served 15-20 minutes before the other two, and the food was cold. One dish had completely raw eggs. When I let the server know I couldn't eat it, she came back and removed the meal from the bill, which was appreciated. However, the interaction itself felt tense and dismissive, which made an already frustrating experience worse. They did give us a round of breakfast shots to try to help pass the time which was appreciated. The food itself was disappointing overall. The breakfast burrito was basically all eggs with raw, bitter avocado, and my husband's burger was missing requested toppings. We also noticed food sitting in the service window while we continued waiting. The only person who was happy with their meal got the biggie fries an it was hot when it arrived. To make matters worse, the bathroom was unheated on an 18° day (feels like 2°) and not clean. We're a pretty chill, patient group and understand that kitchens get backed up but man, this experience completely missed the mark. Ironically, the cooks thanked us for our patience and servers said goodbye pleasantly on the way out. We honestly may have let a lot of this go if the service hadn't felt so dismissive when we calmly raised concerns.
