Vanderbilt had open streets when we came on a Friday night so there was plenty of outdoor seating. The interior is clean and modern and service was good though the food did take a while to come out. To eat we had: Brussels Sprouts: tangy, spicy and garlicky. appreciate the bold flavors but can't have too much of it. I like that the brussels are sauteed and not fried! Duck Buns: There isn't anything out of the ordinary for these but they are very good. can't go wrong with a slice of fatty duck in a warm bun with hoisin! Crab curry noodle: highly recommend! Savory but light at the same time. LOVE the pickled mustard greens which really brightens up the dish. The only suggestion would be to add a bit more crab :) Jasmine Tea smoked baby back ribs: impressive presentation! comes with fries but wish they were more crispy. I didn't try this dish but the husband cleaned out the bones so i guess it's good? Thai iced tea: comes in a bottle. appreciate the strong tea flavors and it's not too sweet! Dessert (only one item on the menu): SO GOOD. a meringue filled with strawberry compote and creamy whipped yogurt (?) and topped with sorbet. The original Nuaa restaurant (The Nuaa) was by far the best Thai restaurant in NYC, so naturally I was super excited to try it as it made a comeback in a completely new location. The menu is much smaller than before, but I was told that the full menu is coming back soon. With that said, the flavors are still wonderful as we started with the dumpling appetizer. It was very crunchy, had a decent amount of chicken and the garlic plus the sauce balanced out the dumplings without being too salty. My friend actually ate all the sauce by itself after the dumplings. The colossal Crab Curry was exactly as I remembered it from the original restaurant. It had a nice curry flavor without being spicy, but should have had more crab meat as the dish isn't super substantial even with the noodles. The BBQ Baby Back Ribs were very meaty and great to share for 2 people. It did have a nice flavor from the Jasmin tea and sesame seeds. This dish also came with a few steak fries and a dipping sauce. The ribs were both my favorite and surprisingly good. I definitely want to come back again once the menu has expanded, looking forward to having the braised short ribs curry and the shrimp pad thai (with actual tiger prawns like in the past...). read more

My girlfriends and I ate here for dinner for the first time and it did not disappoint! Eating here was such a unique experience as the Nuaa Table puts a modern twist on Thai cuisine. We ate here on Monday night and it was pretty busy. Our server, Christian, was very attentive and helpful. There were four of us so we decided to just share everything family style. We started off with cocktails and appetizers. My favorite appetizers were the purple blossom dumplings and mee krob. My cocktail was really good also- it had tequila and lavender in it & it wasn't too sweet :) For entrees, everyone agreed at the end of the meal that the best entree was the rice cracker crusted branzino! I usually don't order fish entrees but I've never had anything like it. We also ordered chicken kuay teow kua (wide rice noodles) and slow braised short ribs massaman curry which were great as well. The food is good, got a beef and seafood dish as well as a mocktail. Presentation was cute, especially the mocktail - it even came with sugarcane HOW COOL. Ambiance was top notch, so chill and not crowded. Service was great too, attentive and nice. Now, the 2 stars off is me getting the worst food poisoning afterwards that left me bedridden for 3 days. I didn't eat much else that day so there is no doubt in my mind that something from the restaurant triggered this bout of rough existence but I can't pinpoint what it could have been from the meal. Ordered food from here and was pleasantly surprised with how everything turned out. The braised short rib massaman curry was flavorful, although I think the meat could have been a bit more tender. The holy basil dish was probably my favorite, but the sea salt fried rice came in a close second. The green curry was also good, but didn't have as much chicken as I would have liked. I'd rate Nuaa Table four and a half starts. We came here for dinner on a weeknight. Cuisine is Thai influenced tapas. We wife started with one of their mocktails. Looks like they were still working on their liquor license. For starters, we shared the shrimp and mushroom lemongrass soup, the purple dumplings, vegetable dumplings, fried tofu, and the daily special - a mussel pot with fries. Portion size was small so we were able to try all these items without becoming stuffed. The soup was my favorite of the group. Umami from the mushrooms and the oceany flavor from the shrimp. It was quite rich without feeling heavily savory or salty. Purple dumplings had a pretty presentation but I thought the vegetable dumplings tasted better. Only two dumplings per order so why not try both. Tofu was another standout. It was fried in a crispy rice batter and glazed with a sweet and sour sauce. The texture of the tofu was yolky which I find hard to achieve. The mussels pot was good too and I'd recommend it if it's on the menu. For our main course, we shared the branzino which had a more traditional fish sauce based curry sauce. It was fried with a crispy rice batter. It was cooked well. The body was deboned which made eating the center pieces super easy. I prefer starting with the head so I jumped into that part. Unfortunately, the frying style made it a little difficult to decipher what was fried rice and what was bone. Eventually, I caught on but found it a challenge. I also found the fish sauce to be a little to pungent for me. I think the prepared it with the appropriate amount of fish sauce but it's a ingredient that I don't have a personal preference for. I think I liked the starters more as the fish sauce seemed more subtle in those items if it was used at all. For dessert, we shared a meringue in a jam with strawberries, basil, and whipped cream. Interesting contrast of flavors and textures. Not overly sweet and pretty light as far as desserts go. Restroom was super clean. Only one restroom but it is gender neutral and handicap accessible. If I could give this spot 10 stars, I would. There are not a lot of spots in NYC that offer Modern Thai cuisine, and I feel so lucky I discovered this spot from a friend. This is one of those restaurants where you know they took so much time to craft their menu, and the food tastes like it's made with love and elegance. I tried a lot of dishes, especially from their special menu. Truly everything was really good. Standouts for me was -- the five spiced seared duck breast, the Crab curry noodles and the strip steak in lemongrass coconut sauce. Everything was so perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The flavours were aromatic and rich. Other dishes we ordered were also good--you literally can't go wrong, but the above dishes satisfied appetite more. The other dishes we ordered were: The Rice Cracker Branzino, Fried Oysters, Purple Blossom Dumplings, Chickpea Cracker with Eggplant Caviar dip and their spicy Holy Basil. The service was fantastic!! I came here for dinner last Fall since I saw them open in 2021! I was able to dine outdoors and shared a salad and two entrees with my brother. It wasn't too busy when we went during a Thursday evening. We ordered the Miang Of Toasted Coconut and Pink Grapefruit Salad to share. It was nice and light and the sides of toasted coconut and pink grapefruit was a nice touch to the salad. We also ordered the Chicken Kuay Teow Kua and the ​ Sautéed Spicy Holy Basil with the minced chicken. The Chicken Kuay Teow Kua was a fusiony version of drunk man noodles--the sauteed kale was a nice addition to the noodles. I enjoyed the slightly sweet and umami flavor of the noodles. The Sautéed Spicy Holy Basil was a more savory and spicy dish that tasted completely different from the noodles. I definitely recommend ordering a side of white rice to go with this entree. It was delicious and filling! Overall, a pretty solid place for Thai food. Nothing that we ordered was on the super spicy side but I'm sure you can always ask for extra spiciness if you're someone who can tolerate a lot of heat. read more

Vanderbilt Ave, where this restaurant is located, is well known for their restaurants and closed off streets. Walking down this street you are met with endless eating options, swarms of children, and a calming feeling of being part of the neighborhood. I stumbled upon nuaa while looking for an easy takeout dinner. The place was empty when I arrived around 6pm on a Friday night, but there were 1 or 2 tables being occupied outside. As someone who doesn't eat meat the options weren't plentiful but nevertheless I decided to give it a try. The vegetable dumplings were delicious. Cooked perfectly and stuffed with a delicious medley of chopped veggies. The Japanese eggplant served with rice was nice and soft with a little kick from the peppers added to the sauce. The food was still good when I ate it after the 20 min drive home so it travels well for takeout/delivery. The inside is also very cozy and I could see myself enjoying a meal there with friends or a date. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a tasty dinner option! read more

I've walked by it a ton in Prospect Heights, but I've never been inside - I tend to order delivery from here. I will say their delivery is amazing. The food always comes hot and exactly how I asked for it. The spicy basil chicken and the chicken green curry are my favorites. Definitely be aware that the food is on the spicy side, but I think this is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the area.
