Excellent service. Kelsey S. was amazing. The food was great from the salad to the dessert. Would definitely recommend. Enjoyed it so much we made reservations for brunch for our family. read more

Our family of 5 stopped by at 5:30PM on a Thursday night for dinner after hitting HersheyPark for the Christmas lights. The parking lot was half empty and had one of four outdoor lights on and it was pretty dark. We entered the restaurant and saw the rustic setting of mill beams and tables that were 75% empty. We were asked by the hostess if we had a reservation and we replied that we did not. She advised us that it's "always a good idea to make a reservation". We thanked her and said that we were from out of town. After her blank stare, she said that she had a table for us but there was a reservation for it at 6:45PM "just so you know". ? . I guess in other words, eat fast! I told her that "was on you guys" as you either have a table or you don't. Well, we overcame that and were seated in the lower area. The atmosphere there was nice and our server was very nice, as well. The menu was limited and very expensive. We ended up getting 5 sandwiches and one cocktail, which were all good, and our total bill with tip was $125.00. I wouldn't go there again to spend $125.00 on sandwiches in a mostly empty establishment where the hostess acted like we were "doing it wrong" and encouraged patrons to hurry up and get out. The reason we went there is because we had seen the place featured on the PCN network in the past and were surprised when we saw it located there in Hershey. PCN is great, but do your own homework. read more

We ate here on a weekend trip to Hershey from Washington, DC. We didn't really care for anything we were served. The bread is salty and tastes like a bread stick from a pizza place. We ordered the crab topped bliss potatoes as an appetizer. There was very little crab meat yet they had a very strong fishy taste to them. I ordered the grilled nectarines, and despite the grilling they were unripe and crunchy. My dining partner ordered salmon and said it was flavorless and underseasoned. Presentation was good, but flavors and seasoning are way off. read more

There are many good reviews and on a slow night I would give a better review. The atmosphere is wonderful, very charming building. This was a Tuesday night , and the parking lot had many cars. We were quickly seated. The server was pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable. I was hoping to see more selections on the menu, no off the menus specials. Based on a recommendation by the server I had brisket, my wife steak. The steak was tasty, not special but cooked correctly which is a plus! The brisket was dry and not anything to get excited about. Not sure it was made in a smoker. Sauce was good, and you needed it to make the brisket enjoyable. Desert was ordered however it took 35 mins to arrive at the table. It was strawberries on cake, not a difficult dish to make. Server and manager were apologetic, and compted the desert. They blamed the delay on a large party somewhere in the restaurant, although others next to us came and went, while we sat waiting for desert. I am from the area, I have eaten in many better restaurants in Hershey, I would not rush back. read more

The food was so wonderful along with the service. I went here on a first date and our waitress (I forgot her name!) was so wonderful. The food was amazing. The warm bread that comes out was the absolute best. It was warm and seasoned and just heavenly. We got the queso and Thai lettuce wraps-the wraps come deconstruction style and you add in each of the elements. The queso was some of the best I've ever had. I think we went with the Nashville chicken and the steak. Both were delicious but, after the apps we didn't have much room. After we finished dinner we went to the bar for another drink and dessert. We ordered the PB pie which was delicious but, again I couldn't eat more than a few bites. The drinks were great. I ordered the lavender mojito-which was a bit too lavender for me. And some sort of blueberry lemonade which was very yummy. I will warn you and say it's kinda costly but, it was definitely worth it. Enjoy!!! read more

Too bad they specifically advertise that they cater to vegetarians on their website. They offer exactly one entree for vegetarians, and the night I was there they ran out of it. Not impressed. read more

Food was stale. Prepared a day or two before being served. Tasteless salmon. Poor service. Bad value for the money. Don't patronize early in the week. read more

I would give this a 3 1/2 if possible. The ambience is nice and staff is friendly. Calamari and bacon are great appetizers. Drinks are well made. The main course wasn't so good. The scallops portion was one scallop short for portion. Unfortunately, the scallops were also under seasoned and slightly undercooked. They should really consider using cast iron to char the scallops. One of the scallops had sand. The lobster risotto was a good portion, but taste was so so. I'm sure the others main course meals might be better. read more

Wow first time here great place interesting menu friendly staff won't be the last time Jimmy and Jess great at the bar!

Awesome dinner on short notice with some friends. The Brussels are a must as well as the Bacon appetizer. Atmosphere was very comfortable and clean. Would love to go back if in Hershey again! read more

Very nice atmosphere, great service! The oysters were some of the best I've had. The steak was prepared to my liking, fresh grilled flavor, light on the seasonings. My salad was made with tomatoes that tasted fresh from the garden. read more

I went to the mill for lunch today. First, there was no host when we came in. We were told to walk up stairs to find someone to seat us. We walked upstairs, then the hosts seemed confused to see us. We said hey can we get a table for two. Then we were walked right back down stairs and seated. The restaurant was dead, very few people there. We were given dinner menus at 3pm. When I asked for the lunch menu (lunch goes until 4pm, I know because I called ahead) the waitress pretty much scorned me and then got a lunch menu. Talk about embarrassing when you're on a first date with someone. The menu was limited and expensive. I got the risotto for $16. We waited forever for the food to arrive. It didn't taste good. I was in the mood for dessert but decided not to get one after a crappy dining experience. The waitress was not only mean, but she was neglectful. Thankfully the guy I was with covered the meal, otherwise I'd be really unhappy to give her anything after she embarrassed me. I won't come back. If you're in the Hershey area and you're hungry, stick with Hershey Pantry, Houlihan's, Devon's, Chocolate Avenue Grill, or Khana. read more

This was our first time visiting The Mill at Hershey and we will certainly be back. It was well worth the drive from Ephrata. The food was outstanding and presented beautifully. My husband and I like to share plates so we are able to try more tastes. The server we had was wonderful at recommending things and was very well versed in the menu, I'm just sorry I can't remember her name to mention her specifically (it started with a J). We ordered each course as we went and she was very patient with this. The bar looked very inviting on the second floor but we were unfortunately too full to add yet another thing. We will definitely be back They also had families as well as tables for large groups and it looked quite inviting for both things without imposing upon the other diners. If you haven't already, you need to try this place! read more

Excellent food, great service and cool environment. I'd say the best food I've had in the Hershey area.

First Yelp review, and unfortunately also my first negative review. I live and work in Hershey, and eat out at least 2 times per day thru the week. Over the last few years we have eaten literally at every restaurant or bar within a 30 min drive or Hershey. This is the only the second restaurant on our no go list, mainly because of the consistently horrific service. Some reviews below are spot on: slow, inattentive, generally poorly run and managed. Save your money and your time and choose somewhere else in town. The best we can hope for is a quick death of this place and a replacement with something better run because the facility is great, really just a management and execution issues. read more

What an amazing experience! From the soup, to our antipasto, to the famous house bacon and the bacon wrapped chicken breast - outstanding! I would recommend this restaurant for a simple dinner but also any special occasion!! read more

Having been here countless times, I think the service and food as become sub par to accommodate the growing crowd. I remember my first and second meal here, both which where phenomenal. However, ever since those first two times, it's gone a little down hill. The salads are not the same, the filet mignon and salmon also don't taste the way they did before the Mill became so popular. read more

We ate here based on yelp reviews. Really good fresh food. Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. Good atmosphere and accommodating to kids. My picky 8 yr old said it was the best grilled cheese he ever had. We would definitely eat here again if we visit Hershey again. read more

This is the greatest secret in Hershey. It's off the beaten path and hard to find but don't give up. It's worth it. They turned an old mill into a restaurant. The atmosphere is excellent and the staff are very charming. I love the downstairs the best with the fireplace. The food is fresh and creative with presentation and flavoring. There is no bad dish here - it's all very yummy from the drinks to soups, salads, appetizers, veggie sides, entrees, and even deserts. read more

Great location, parking is what it is, great food and staff. Really enjoyed the smoked tomatoes on the salad. Both meat dishes were perfectly done, my ribeye was excellent. read more

Took my wife here for her birthday, was an excellent choice. A great meal at an upscale restaurant for a good price! Perfect: Service, Food, Decor, Cleanliness. Five Stars! read more

Excellent new restaurant. Has a casual feel, but the food is upscale. Coming from NYC the pricing is familiar. Nice cocktail list and decent beer selection. I had the veal short ribs which were excellent and my wife had the ahi tuna which she really enjoyed. Overall I liked the vibe. read more

I wish I remembered the waitresses name, but she was FANTASTIC. We all (me and 2 of my girl friends) gave her a close-to-50% tip at lunch this past Saturday. The jalapeno margarita is delicious and just enough kick without compromising that refreshing margarita taste. The charcuterie board was delightful, thoughtful, well-presented and delicious. Some of us had steak while the rest had chicken, we all cleaned our plates- the roasted carrots were out of this world yummy. Finished everything with the gluten free chocolate cake offering...rich and delicious with a swirl of thick, real whipped cream on top. I unfortunately live 6 hours away and was only in town for the weekend, but I cannot recommend this spot enough! read more

The building is beautiful but the food leaves a lot to be desired. My husband and I decided to give The Mill a second chance last week after an underwhelming experience about a year ago. We started off with drinks ($7 for seasonal Troegs on tap) and calamari ($10), which came out quickly. So quickly, it left me wondering how long the calamari had been sitting under the kitchen hot lamps in the back (it was warm, not "just fried" hot). We then ordered the curry duck breast (delicious, $26) & baby back ribs (terrible, $26). The ribs were so tough and chewy, we couldn't cut through them without a steak knife! When I order ribs, I expected them to "fall off the bone" and not pick them up to gnaw on in a nicer restaurant like this. At the least, I wish our waitress would have said something about the "style" of ribs when I ordered, or asked us how they were (she didn't check on us after delivering our food, until we asked for the bill). Overall, our meal + tip was just over $100. We don't dine out too often, so when we do, I expect it to be (atleast) good. Unfortunately, neither of us would come back nor recommend to our friends. read more

I have eaten at The Mill 3 times. I am giving 3 out of 5 as a combined experience, although today's meal was a 2. I have not been disappointed in the past. Today I started with the tomato bisque which was delicate and rich. For my entree I had the misfortune of ordering the chicken and waffles. I would suggest that you avoid this dish. I find the service to be more than acceptable and quite friendly. read more

First off, the building is so beautiful! I love the look of the place, the drinks were great and the servers were nice. We had drinks downstairs then came upstairs for dinner. This is where the stars drop off... the food unfortunately was only so-so. It's not that anything was particularly bad it's just that for the prices, the food wasn't outstanding. read more

really really liked this place! excellent food and terrific service. thanks!

Before I start ,One star is toooo much for this over priced pretentious restaurant.the food wasn't worth the price. We ordered jumbo cocktail shrimp and We got 4 undercooked shrimps with horrible sauce. Chicken alfredo flat bread had two small cubes of chicken, so imagine the quantity of food we got, couldn't taste alfredo, so i guess it must be the smallest flat bread in the world. If it wasn't for the ambience we would have left the place when the food arrived. If you are a reasonable person and looking for good food, stay away from this place. This was my first visit to Hershey and I am disappointed. read more

Making reservations online seems easy, but they have a very poor system. After making the reservation online, I followed up by phone. The restaurant confirmed the reservation twice. When we arrived, the booth we reserved was not available. This was suppose to be a special occasion for us. We also found the food very mediocre. I must say, the service was excellent! read more

Loved it. Food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. We've been here 3 times.....worth the drive. Oh, try the waffle chicken sandwich, it's so yummy. read more

Food was fantastic. I had the sea scallops and mom had the Bahn Mi. Creme brûlée and chocolate nemesis for dessert. This meal was nothing short of perfect. Phenomenal service and amazingly executed interpretations of American classics. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received. We will definitely be returning! read more

With all the positive reviews we had 10 men that were hungry and wanted to try something different then the usual when we went to Hershey for a car show. Well we all had a great meal and yes chicken n waffles ! Very clean and professional . Definitely coming back. read more

The mussels have been great in the past (last year we visited). We went tonight and they were just terrible. Slimey and gooey; I was surprised they left the kitchen like that. Two stars for wonderful service as it was not the servers fault. Not worth trying. read more

Beautifully restored mill along the rail line just off of Rt. 422 in Hershey. Our server was very nice and accommodating. Wait time was a bit long for service but the place was full when we arrived. Building could use some acoustic tiles to soak up the noise as it was a bit hard to converse in a normal tone at our table. Our food was very good with generous portions of brisket. Could've had a larger portion of sides though. Menu is a bit pricey but considering the renovations done to this building and location I suppose it's in line. read more

A little pricier than I thought It would be, the Mill House Burger was probably one of, if not the best burger I've ever had at a restaurant. I recommend it if you go. read more

Best food in Hershey. Nice atmosphere and tasty food. Service was great. Problem with martini but waitress immediately brought me the correct drink with apologies. The onion soup was more like a sweet onion stew. Way too many onions and way too sweet, very little broth. Bacon appetizer was good but definitely pork belly so don't expect crispy bacon. Burger was delicious, charcuterie was tasty but nothing special. My husband had the fish special which came very rare. It was good and not a fish that needed to be up to temperature, but would have been nice to have it mentioned by waitress in description. Risotto was good, but again not spectacular so I can't give 5 stars. Overall probably the best place to eat in Hershey. Worth a visit. read more

New chef, new menu. Outstanding food quality. Apple dessert lacking a little flavor. Dinner portions could be a little larger, but excellent service and food. Highly recommend!! read more

The Mill in Hershey is by far the best restaurant in town. From the moment you walk in until the time you walk out you see smiling faces in the servers and hosts. The hand crafted cocktails are amazing. I tried the Irish Flower that was featured in a magazine. Delicious!!! Had the salmon soup which was perfectly seasoned. Mussels, fish and chips and filet were some of the best we ever had. Great beer selection. If you haven't tried the Mill you're missing out!!! read more

At the Mill right now. Walked up three flights of steps to the entrance, then,,, they want to take you DOWN two long flights of steps to be seated even though there are plenty of unoccupied tables on the 2nd floor??? Came here for the brunch that is highly acclaimed, I think not. Ordered eggs benedict with the eggs poached "medium." Our waiter told us the eggs benedict are pre-cooked so then warmed as ordered ... what good eatery does that? Our last visit for sure. read more
