The atmosphere was fun, utilizing retired ride vehicles as booths and playing into the park setting. As expected in Hershey, the menu explored how chocolate can be integrated into a very American menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. And a $25.00 promotion on going at least takes the pain out of such an upscale meal. Seated immediately, at the Happy Birthday booth. We are not booth fans, but this one was actually comfortable. ( table 51 is recommended in this case) Drinks and water's were quick and impressive, the hickory old fashioned was really good, and strong enough but not overpowering. Spouse liked her Chardonnay ( Proverb ) We went fancy with a goat cheese bruschetta appetizer, very nice, and fresh. Spouse had the Mixed Grill that was shell fish and crab and all the lovely stuff she couldn't share with the Birthday boy. No problem I had the seared ahi tuna dinner with lemon asparagus risotto and baby heritage carrots, not the regular Hawaiian tuna. that is good but I didn't want the mashed potatoes and asparagus this time. Loved the carrots nice and glassed with a happy amount of charing and the risotto was fresh a nice lemon background and asparagus was " 5o the tooth" the only small negative was the tuna had no crust, even though I asked for rare, it was missing . Either not a hot enough pan or planchette not those extra few moments, I don't know. But still excellent. We were cared for by Stephen ( I think ) and team 1, I was offered a desert menu but I had a chocolate cake awaiting me at home, I still received a small sponge cake with whip cream and a delicious strawberry on top, with a candle. Damages were $ 135+ tax ( minus the bday discount) plus tip for the full amount. Well worth the expense , and we will do it again next year, I hope.

First impression: Rustic, clean and friendly. The evening was so beautiful we were able to sit outside on the patio. Very inviting atmosphere and plenty of space. I ordered a red sangria, like I order everywhere I go and am always disappointed. This one made me smile and is the reason I keep ordering them. Yum! Charred Brussel sprouts were soft but crispy, salty with a savory duck fat flavor and baked Brie with figs and apples and toasted crostini with a tart balsamic glaze was mouth watering, but could have been a little more hot and melty. Entrees were crispy skin salmon cooked perfect and came hot! Brisket for my hubby was Smokey and had a thick sour creamy horseradish sauce that was excellent. And we forgot to leave room for dessert but there was one that was highly recommended by 2 of the servers. Cinnamon toast bread pudding! I don't even like bread pudding. There were some crispy bits of caramelized sugar on the encrust. Licked the plate! So I guess I like that bread pudding. And my favorite part was everyone we came across was sooo nice, smiling and really seemed to like working there. I felt like we were eating dinner with friends. Finally a place that makes better food than I make at home so much so that I would love to get a few recipes and worth the price. Can't wait to come back! read more

Yesterday, I hosted a party for my wife's 40th Birthday in one of The Mill's private event spaces. In the months leading up to the event, I've had many communications with Nicole, the event space coordinator, and she made it such a pleasant and easy experience for me. Not once did I feel as if I was ever a bother with the questions I asked leading up to the event. Marcus and Amanda were the bartenders/attendants for both the beverage and food service and they went above and beyond! They were very attentive to our approximately 50 guests and I heard so many of the guests mention how great they were to make it a wonderful experience. The quality of the food was exceptional and the rustic atmosphere and cleanliness of the event space was second to none. I originally looked at a few other venues in the Hershey area leading up to selecting The Mill and now that the event is over and was a blast, I know I made the right decision. Nothing compares to the value of the atmosphere of the facilities, quality of service, quality of the food, and location. I, and I know many of our guests will be back to The Mill soon. I highly recommend visiting for a meal or hosting a private party there! read more

Had a great experience at The Mill in Hershey! It's a great spot to relax, grab some good food and drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere--especially on a hot summer evening. * Stopped in for some happy hour drinks and calamari, and both were great. * The atmosphere was excellent, with a comfortable and inviting vibe. * The food was good, but the service was even better. Our server was attentive, friendly, and really made the experience stand out. * It was the perfect place to cool off and unwind after a hot summer day. * Great spot to meet up with friends for drinks, a bite to eat, or a casual evening out. Overall, The Mill is a great addition to the Hershey dining scene. Good food, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent service made for a really enjoyable visit. I'd definitely come back again! read more

A friend and I wanted a few drinks and appetizers Friday night, so we decided to enjoy the night out in the patio area. We arrived at 4pm and we were rudely approached by a server telling us we could not sit in the patio area since they have the tables saved for 6:30pm. No one was sitting outside, ALL the tables were empty! I explained we only wanted to enjoy a few drinks and a couple of appetizers, but she said at 6:30, we would have to leave the patio area so the server said it's not a good idea for us to sit outside. I have NEVER been told we couldn't sit outside, while all the tables were open. The customer service at this restaurant isn't even a 1!! If I could rate them, it would be -10. I do not recommend this restaurant, don't waste your time and money. read more

I went with 2 girlfriends, as a "treat" before the James Taylor concert. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our server was JAKE and he was great! The building is very unique, industrial yet sort of rustic. We started with the cheese, fruit, nut plate as an appetizer, which was different and very good. I had the Romesco ----delicious! Also a very generous portion. We also appreciated the fact that when you order a glass of wine, you get a glass of wine (not 3 or 4 oz.). Prices are in line with the excellent quality of the food. Only complaint is the noise level when it got crowded ---but then again, everyone was excited to see Sweet Baby James! We had a great meal and would definitely return. read more

Our women's club had a wonderful holiday luncheon at The Mill in early December. We planned the luncheon for 50 people with the help of the Sales Manager Nicole Schlesman. We held the luncheon buffet on the 3d. floor in the restaurant. The space was beautifully decorated, the perfect size for our group, and easily accessible via the elevator. The buffet was served in an area adjacent to the tables. We also had access to a full bar. Everyone had plenty of room to move about and socialize. The food was delicious, and service was attentive. The building itself clearly carries history -- I actually had to duck slightly to pass through the low stone archway leading to our table. It added to the character and intimacy of the space. We started with the tuna tartare, which was a standout. I'm "that aunt" in the family -- the one who encourages the kids to try new things -- and this dinner was my monthly outing with my nephew. So yes, raw tuna hit the table. It turned out to be the perfect introduction. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and approachable, it made trying something new feel effortless. A total win. He ordered chicken nuggets, and while that might sound simple, they were clearly house-made, fresh-cut, and thoughtfully prepared. For chicken nuggets, they were excellent. My scallops, unfortunately, didn't quite land for me. The accompanying preparation felt overly complex and ended up overpowering the natural delicacy of the scallops. That said, the menu offers plenty of other intriguing options, and I'd absolutely return to explore more. Service throughout the evening was kind, attentive, and prompt -- exactly what you hope for during a relaxed dinner out. Overall, a warm, character-filled spot with standout starters and welcoming staff. Looking forward to the next visit.
