Chicken sandwich

Overall I really liked this place! It's big, family-friendly and the selection on the menu was decent. My kids liked their kids meals, although the cheez-it's seemed unnecessary. I am taking a star off for the chilaquiles I ordered. The aioli was a miss for me; this dish is already creamy and flavorful, and would have been better with a traditional salsa verde. I would come back to try more!

Biscuits and pork gravy

I had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were buttery, moist and absolutely delicious. The pork gravy was the perfect amount of seasoning. Eggs were cooked over easy and perfect. Definitely recommend.

This is a neighborhood cafe where service is great and the food is....oh the food is outstanding! Omg. I hate to give this such a great review as I know you all will swarm this place. It is the best neighborhood joint I have ever experienced! I came here last week and was served the best shrimp and grits that it put NOLA to shame. Gotta try this! And shout out to Ali! What a kind soul.

Denver omelette and Ranchero Skillet

What a great cafe! We happened to be over north on an early Sunday morning when we stumbled upon this place. It was a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Our server was friendly and quick. I ordered the ranchero skillet and my wife ordered a Denver omelette. We also ordered a pancake to share. Everything came out quick. The salsa that came with my skillet was obviously made fresh in-house - so good! They also had great tasting coffee! 5/5! Definitely coming back!

I'm Full!

Our Food, service, and cleanliness was excellent. The cappuccinos were probably the best I have ever had. The milk was perfectly frothed and smooth texture and unbelievable finish. The food is understated by the price which is amazing! It's affordable and the portions are abundant! The ambiance, here is what I loved the culture of the place. The flavor, here is what I will say . My mom is that typical Swedish German 73yr old woman who is load and well, I'm a 49 yr old liberal daughter who is still wanting to crawl under the table most days when I take her out. So she gets her French toast and making her more difficult than it needs to be. Im dreading her complaining abou the french toast. She gets the her food and shes like oooh ooh well hckkk youbknow the sound .. the are the best ef worden french toast i have ever had, as she now has improsned the waitstaff so MN Boomer Mom approved! And her kid approves too

Avocado toast with egg.

We love this little neighborhood treasure. We stumbled upon it last year while visiting our U of MN student and now it's a ritual every time we are in Minneapolis. The food is delicious and the service is great. My husband swears by the steak and eggs. I love the avocado toast. Highly recommend.

Today I had the Rueben with sweet potato fries. Perfect!

Food and atmosphere is kool. Wish they'd stay open longer and there were more plant based items on menu but current menu is still doable.

Was interesting that there was a fried egg on top of it but i was about it. The green sauce going along with the entree would have made it even better. My partner and I were visiting from Chicago and their parents wanted to try out the new Ecuadorian place in the neighborhood. We were pleasantly surprised! Two of us got the Pollo a la Plancha, one got the Panang Curry, and the other got the chicken skewers. The chicken was very planchada (haha) but still delicious. They were out of their yucca frita, which we were sad about, but they gave us a side of plantains when we asked. The Panang Curry was surprisingly amazing - we were wondering if one of the chef's from the old restaurant that used to be here was working because it tasted so good. Check them out and support this new business!

Service is friendly and quick, they work as a team so requests get taken care of quickly. Now for the food, for brunch you get a complimentary bowl of mini donuts. We started with the cheese curds to share and they were so good. Delicate batter, with a side of a sweet jam/ketchup and ranch. These were eaten up fast. We also shared the buffalo cauliflower which was nicely battered, firm cauliflower, and a good amount of buffalo sauce. I ordered the chicken wraps. These were nice and refreshing. Comes with 3 skewers of chicken, a peanut dressing, fresh Bibb lettuce, basil, mint, cucumber, and sliced radish. My husband had the huevos rancheros which he liked as well. I saw other tables get a mimosa flight which looked fun if we had a larger group. Highly recommend this place. Street parking only with a nearby pay lot.

Overall I liked what I ordered, I did hear from my friends that their burgers were not as good as they use to remember it.

Well, that's exactly what these are. The sauce that comes with them is a perfect match that his a nice kick of heat. The remainder of our meal was: a Patty Melt and a Gourmet Burger. These, too, were best-ever meals. The fries were perfect and I'm now drooling thinking about them. These burgers were cooked perfectly and were delicious in every way. All of the condiments/toppings that came with them were not extraneous at all. Every bite was a head-shaking experience of fantabulous burgerdom. The service here is quick and attentive without being overwrought. We were given the space to devour our food, while not wanting for anything. Our drinks were refilled and extra napkins came to the table without requesting them. This was my friend's first time here, and he's a fan. Give them a try!

I went on a Saturday afternoon, and not many people were there. It took close to 15 minutes to get a menu, and when all was said and done, my friend and I had spent close to 2 hours there by the time we finished our meal. I got a burger and she got a sandwich, standard fare. I wasn't expecting anything fancy. For a place like Tootie's you typically go for the standard fare, but unfortunately, the food was just okay. No real flavor, kind of fell flat. The evenings seem to be a little more lively when I pass by, maybe I'll give it another whirl then.

I came here for my birthday and Allie made sure I was absolutely taken care of in every way possible. I'm pretty extra and extra extra is what I got! I was so impressed with everything! I ordered the 1884 high roller & strawberry spritz! Both so tasty! The whiskey was so smooth...incredible! The presentation with the gold foil on the glass really made it look outta this world! The spritz was perfect! We had the oysters, tuna tartare, Heritage steak, wedge salad, mushrooms & crab cakes. All outstanding. The star of the show, though, for me was the desserts! I ordered the 16 layer chocolate cake AND raspberry pistachio cheesecake...because that's how I roll! Omg...that decadent chocolate cake may be the best I've ever had!! Everyone must get that cake. I know I will always get it because it is mind blowing! The cheesecake was delish, too, but I prefer a more solid in texture type cheesecake myself. Just preference...but it was also a tasty dessert! The atmosphere is something else. I just loved it there. The beauty and history. This was THE perfect place to celebrate my birthday! Thank you so much, Allie & her manager, for making sure I had a top notch dining experience! Highly highly highly recommend!!!

The ambiance was some of the best I have ever seen at a restaurant, as it was an old bank, there are some spots that are from the original building. It was so open and decorated beautifully. Despite being one open large room, the noise level was fine!! As it was my birthday, they greated me with a birthday card signed by the staff and I got a complimentary dessert. The food was fabulous; we had the chopped salad for an appetizer with their delicious pretzel bread and whipped butter. For dinner we had the mac and cheese, the mushrooms and the porterhouse steak. The steak will live in my dreams it was cooked to perfection wiith a chimichurri sauce to dip it in. The only thing I could maybe call not a re-order would be the mac, I think I wished I got the mashed potatoes but it was delicious nonetheless. Service was great, our wine and water glasses stayed full and they cleared our table off so fast. Definitely will be back!
