Sweet chili wings
Tiana G.

I used to go here all the time in college for nights out and drinks but this was my first time going for dinner and i was pleasantly surprised!! The food was all delicious!! Would definitely recommend the sweet chili wings & the fish and chips were definitely my favorites!! Also got the corned beef egg rolls and the tater keg! The Jameson bbq burger and chicken sandwich were also very good and they've got some great holiday cocktails right now! Staff was super friendly and attentive!

Me if I was white.

I had a pizza. Was good. Ate whole thing. Plus two cokes. They were quick enough and I liked the Irish ambiance. Lowkey the Irish Tap dancers were adequate but they should be working more get them back to work now. I'm Black.

Welp welp welp, we came here to watch the Red Sox v Yankees game. I don't wanna talk about it…read more... But what I do want to talk about is A.T. O'Keefes! Although the game didn't end well, we had fun here. Lots of tvs throughout and a chill vibe overall. We ordered at the bar and the guy brought it over to us. I got a Sam Seasonal Oktoberfest and my boyfriend got a sun cruiser. I then ordered the steak and cheese with fries. It was really tasty but a little small. My boyfriend got the Honey Dripper crispy chicken sandwich. He was recommended this by the bartender--he loved it! Good recommendation!! Overall it was fun to be surrounded by sox fans to watch the game, and enjoy good food and drink. I loved all the neon signs and decor! I wish tvs were a little larger in size but it worked. I would come back!

Let me start by saying, the staff were friendly and positive, this review is aside from that…read more After stopping in one evening to watch the red sox game a few weeks ago, we simply wanted a few drinks and a snack. Throughout our 2-3 hours there, we ordered truffle fries and 2 pitchers of mich ultra, one of the lightest and cheapest beers sold at any bar. Much to our surprise, our total for those 3 simple items were in excess of $90+ (which for reference, the fries were $12). This means, EACH pitcher of mich ultra was anywhere from $38-$40. Needless to say, this pricing is egregious, and we were completely shocked to see it on the bill. This was after we were kindly offered to be checked out from the table, so the bartender took my card back to the back to run it before bringing it back and presenting us with this surprise. Now, I am not one to leave reviews in general, and usually if I leave any, they are positive - due to fantastic or above-average food/dining/service/hospitality etc. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. I will say, for what we had food-wise, the fries were delicious - although, this incredibly high differential in cost we were charged, for one of the notoriously cheaper beers in any bar, left me no choice but to bring it to light. I'm aware this is Boston, and I know F&B is at a higher cost today than in times prior in most bars and restaurants. But - with comparisons for the same pitcher of beer around the area ranging between $22-$26 per pitcher, the obvious is left to be seen.

Great meal to end the upper US marathon vacation!!…read more We had no idea where we may end up eating but the trusty Yelp app led us to another victory dance!! Yay for Yelp!! We had just cruised the nearby mall center thingy and were hungry on our last night in Boston. We saw the sites and did the things. Boston is a one of a kind place for sure. This was the choice. It was a great choice! Beautifully decorated and oh so chill inside. We have a thing that we do at places with great appetizers. We just order a bunch of those and feast. That's what we did here! We started with some raw oysters. They were very nice indeed. Island Creek Oysters from Duxbury MA. is where they came from. We love the little local Junts a lot and had them all over the northeast while we were there. We also had Crab Rangoon Dip. Very good, lots of fresh lump crabmeat, with a house chili crisp, scallions, and wonton chips. Loved it! They we had some fantastic mussels to close the deal! The flavor was amazing! I wish I could have them every single day! We also had a bowl of BPH Clam Chowder. CC is one of my favorite things and this place did not disappoint in any way! Delicious!! The server was great. She took great care and made our last night in Boston an unforgettable experience. If you are near, you should go right now! Why aren't you there yet? '26 - 108

My order: 1 chicken taco, 1 grilled fish taco, 3 carnitas tacos…read more The Review: Five horses tavern has a lot of gluten free options, which is very inclusive for a bar/tavern! The server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The tacos were pretty good, but if you're a taco maven, don't get them. To be honest, the fish taco had too much Mayo/sauce on it. They each came with two corn tortillas, which were a little stuck together as if microwaved. It was definitely my mistake because they are definitely not a Mexican restaurant. I would be interested in their salmon dish, as well as their bowls. Four stars for good options (gf included), good portion size, and good vibes. Will definitely be returning to try more!

Five Horses accommodated us very quickly without a reservation, which we appreciated so much! There was something on the menu for everyone, we all opted for sandwiches and pasta dishes. The crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer blew us all away, as did the cocktails. I had a delicious raspberry Benito, and my cousin's blackberry crush was so good as well. Everything was delivered fast, and it was the perfect amount of food for us all. My only thing was that the "crispy fries" side dish was not very crispy - a thinner version of steak/wedge fries that I personally am not a fan of. I liked that these were thinner, but I was expecting a crunch. That's not going to turn me away from coming back and I will be recommending this place to others! I can't wait to show my friends.

A few friends and I went to this bar hoping to enjoy some drinks and have a good night, but…read moreinstead, we were immediately met with an incredibly rude and unwelcoming bartender. From the moment we approached him, his attitude toward us was unnecessarily hostile, and the entire interaction was honestly baffling. Without any reasonable explanation, he decided to kick our entire group out because he supposedly "didn't think we were 21," despite the fact that every single one of us had valid, government-issued IDs proving otherwise. We are all dental students who moved to Boston from different states, so naturally, our IDs are not issued in Massachusetts. The bartender then claimed that he only accepts Massachusetts IDs, which was particularly frustrating considering he had already served several of our other friends who were sitting separately from us, none of whom had Massachusetts IDs either. The inconsistency in his reasoning made the entire situation even more upsetting. I have never experienced being kicked out of a bar simply because my valid ID was issued in another state, especially when that same supposed rule was clearly not being enforced for everyone else. Whether he was having a bad night or simply decided he didn't want to serve us, there was absolutely no excuse for the way we were treated. What should have been a fun night out turned into an unnecessarily embarrassing and frustrating experience. As customers, we shouldn't have to wonder why we're being singled out or treated with such blatant disrespect when we've done absolutely nothing wrong. I will absolutely not be returning, and I would strongly discourage others from wasting their time here. There are plenty of great pubs in the area with welcoming staff who actually know how to treat their customers with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
