I used to go here all the time in college for nights out and drinks but this was my first time going for dinner and i was pleasantly surprised!! The food was all delicious!! Would definitely recommend the sweet chili wings & the fish and chips were definitely my favorites!! Also got the corned beef egg rolls and the tater keg! This one bartender with brown long brown hair, I think her name was Brittany spoke to our group like we were idiots and rolled her eyes constantly at us. I could be wrong but I thought think she as talking about our group to another bartender or wait staff kept looking at our group. Teach your staff some manners or let them go. Cool pub right near Fenway park. During the day there are lots of tables, outside seating and bar seating. Around 6 or 7 when a game lets out it turns into a night club inside with loud DJ music. Def a cool vibe if you like to dance. We got food and it was decent bar food. My favorite were the cheeseburgers egg rolls. The outside tables are fun to sit and watch the people walking by. I recently had the pleasure of dining here back in early September while in town for a few days, and I must say it was an absolute delight, we wanted to eat at an irish pub and what else is better than next to the legendary Fenway Park. Dark when you walk in, and takes a minute for your eyes to adjust. The drink selection was good, I like to focus all of my attention on local beers. However on draft were more domestic v/s local craft beers. The only craft I could get was a Pale Ale from Whalers in Rhode Island, which was good. The food was good, no complaints, The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who were genuinely passionate about the menu. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. read more

So not only were you not just allowed to have drinks on the patio. They made us order food. Cornbread and 2 drinks came to $32. My friend and I spilt the bill. I have my receipt 18.72 yet $50 was charged to my credit card. No one from this business has tried to reach out to me. So the issue has not been rectified. I will never go back to this establishment and I will make it known to everyone to not go as well. Probably don't even have a manager. read more

A "security guard" at this bar walked past me and my friends with a flash light pointed down our tops looking like a camera. We later approached him asking why he was filming us (assuming it was a camera) and he violently pushed my friend and grabbed her from the front of her top then pushed her four more times. ZERO STARS!!! I had one of the WORST experiences at Lansdowne Boston. After being told that the outdoor tables were first come first serve, we told the hostess we would grab a drink at the bar to wait for someone to leave. After ordering drinks at the bar, my fiancé saw that people were getting up from an outdoor table and proceeded outside to grab it. Once seated the tiny blonde female bartender delivered our drinks. I then told her that we were eating as well and since there was only a singular seat at the bar, my fiance had found a table outside. She said "no problem, would you like to cash out then" and my response was "yes please." I then I carried the two drinks over to sit at an outdoor table and had walked through the middle open doors. I then returned inside to receive the two pickleback shots we had ordered. I again was heading towards the middle open doors, but this time the young hostess said I had to use the main entrance door and could not go through the middle entrance. At no point did the bartender (who was also watching the shots as I delivered the drinks) or the hostess or any waitress say I could not bring drinks from the bar to the outdoor seating...if I had known this I would not have done so and I would have never ordered as we were waiting for an outdoor table. When placing the two shots down on the table, OUT OF NOWHERE, a bouncer stormed up to me and started yelling in my face about it, in front of everyone. Not a polite reminder, not even a firm explanation--just aggressive, unnecessary shouting that I was told I could not take the drinks from the bar to the outdoor table. Even after telling him I was sorry and no one had told me, he continued to respond in a rude and demanding tone accusing me over and over of being told. It was humiliating, completely unprofessional, and set the tone for an awful night. We then went inside with our drinks, lost our outdoor table, the one seat at the bar was now taken and we were left with nowhere to sit and left immediately without finishing our drinks. I must also add, both my fiancé and I are attorneys and had just walked from the train directly to the bar -- with not one ounce of alcohol in our system during this confrontation. This is not how you treat anyone, let alone grown sober adults. There are plenty of bars in Boston that know how to treat paying customers with basic respect. Lansdowne clearly isn't one of them. I won't EVER be back, and I'd recommend anyone who values decent service STEER CLEAR. read more

However as I was trying to pay my tab literally trying to sign my receipt security dude says "yo I need your chair" actually grabbing my chair as I was trying to finalize my business. This dudes attitude was such that I will not come back to this establishment. For the owners if you care this is the same guy working the door when I showed up around 6 pm. read more
