Just went on a Monday night in August and had a good experience. They were out of a few draughts, but the wait staff was nice and the food was good. It's an Irish Pub, so get a Guinness, a burger, and enjoy. read more

Verbacon burger is great. Nice little local pub with great food.

I make a point to come here every time I'm in town...I absolutely love this place!! One of my favorite Irish pubs AND places to eat in Vermont. The interior is nice and cozy, especially after an ice cold day on the slopes. It has a home-y atmosphere that makes it really welcoming. The service is friendly and fast. What's better than hot chocolate after skiing? Hot chocolate with alcohol, of course!! I love the one with raspberry vodka! The NE clam chowder is yummy for an appetizer- it has it's own unique flavor that's delicious. The loaded potato skins are the best I've ever had! You can't go wrong with any entree! The fish and chips are amazing. I also suggest any kind of burger- there's even flavoring inside the meat! All the cheese is Vermont cheddar, so you really get a taste of the culture. The BLT isn't what you'd get at the average sub shop...it's way more hearty and flavorful. It has real, thick applewood smoked bacon...yummmm! Now the fries...the thing I look forward to most when I come here! They're crispy, flavorful and browned to perfection. They even have malt vinegar for dipping! Bottom line- awesome drink selection and incredible food. If you skip Killarney you'll seriously be missing out! read more

Great family atmosphere with all of the traditional Irish Pub Fare on the menu. My favorite is Killarney Meat Loaf but Bangers and Mash and Fish and Chips are a close second. You can also order take out...but if you do leave enough time to have a pint of Heavy while taking in a game on the many TVs at one of the great all time bars read more

I was actually going to update my review based on your response to my comment as i found it sincere and you actually responded to me - but then i read what you said to my friend that all my girlfriend had was a piece of paper. Tf are you talking about shes from Italy not Cambodia - she came in with a valid European Union issued id. I 100% agree youre within your right to deny entry because its not a passport, but you seriously called it a piece of paper in the same sentence youre saying you didnt discriminate and told her to come back with something written in English??? All she asked for was a glass of water dude get real! read more

Stopped by for a couple of drinks and food. The wings and fries were delicious. Great service!

The place has a cool atmosphere but it is way over priced and the food quality has plummeted. My $15 burger was dry and way over cooked. The server was really nice though but never checked back on us. I wish the prices reflected the quality but during ski season they go up and the locals are forced to pay more. Pretty authentic Irish pub but a bit of a dive read more

The food was very good, the staff was friendly and the place had a great atmosphere. The entire family enjoyed the music and all of the food. They are a bit pricey as being at base of Okemo, but worth the price. After reading reviews i did not expect much but food was good. The corned beef egg rolls were very good and highly recommend them. One son had burger, loved it, the other had shepards pie and equally enjoyed it. I had bangers and mash, real bangers, and homemade mashed. Wife had fish and chips ahe also liked. The menu is limited however.and the place is very small inside. Beers are pricey but decent choices, if they arent out of them. This is the best meal we had in the area and will definately go back. read more

Friendly staff and good selection of beer. Fun spot and interesting atmosphere. A recommended place to grab a pint. Cheers!

Came up from Ct for the weekend and came across this place! So glad we did. We had so much fun there. Went a few times. Super cool atmosphere. Tyler was great!!! We had alot of fun with him. Definitely an asset!! Stopped back again on our way home and had a light lunch. Two soups one butter nut and the other Chowder. Both were awesome. The wings were great as well. Tyler suggested the honey buffalo because I love spice and my wife not too much. They were perfect! Crispy with right amount of sauce. Thanks for a great time!! We will see you next time we are up!!! read more

Always Enjoy going to Killarney's, I frequently order the Vegan Burger for take-out, and have tried other menu items in the past as well. Friendly staff, great service, and good food. Highly recommended! read more

The food was very good with only a few minor comments 1. in another review here, the reviewer talks about a hot dog challenge, My friends and I went there and were told that the contest had been discontinued (however, even the waitress didnt know about it being canceled) 2. since the challenge was cancelled 2 of my friends had the verbacon, a bacon cheeseburger layered with maple syrup, the problem is that for some reason you could only get the taste of maple syrup if you add ketchup. 3. Coming from NYC the Killarney rolls seemed to be just big Egg Rolls. It was tasty and interesting, but set my tastebuds back for chinese instead of pub food However the food was ok, place was fun and they made fun of themselves for their mis-knowledge of the contest read more

Food was good - if you're a meat eater try the Verbacon burger. It's full of maple syrup, Cabot cheddar and bacon - yum!! Mexican night at an Irish pub seems weird but the chimichanga was yummy too. Staff is just mediocre, so just go expecting good food and beer NOT super great servers. read more

Killarney's is a great place for food and drink. We brought 14 people here for our best friend's birthday and had a wonderful time. We worked with Mark ahead of time and had our own private whiskey tasting. We learned a ton and got to sample the various whiskeys that Killarney's offers. We utilized the shuttle service to pick us up and bring us home. It really was an awesome experience. If you are looking to do something a little different, perhaps try the whiskey tasting at the Killarney. Highly recommend! read more

Ate here late night. Had the pork chop special: cornbread and cranberry stuffed pork chop. Delicious! Veggies were bland but potatoes were good. I've never been here during peak ski season, so unsure how the service would be when busy, but considering it was off season the restaurant was pretty slow and service was good. Bar started to get busy on our way out bc Red Sox on. Pretty decent draft selection and lots of bottled beers. They also had some tempting alcoholic hot coco drinks which I'll try next time. read more

Best LOCAL bar in Ludlow . Great selection of beers and warm and friendly AND clean ... Unlike some other places in town ... Owner quite generous and always has a kind word read more

Fun place and family run. If you're looking for a fun place to go after skiing or just visiting town you have to stop here. Been there several times and you are always treated like family. the food is good and they have a lot of beers to choose from. I will keep going back. Other places in town but they either are snooty or too expensive. read more

best Guinness and best Boston strip steak ever. No doubt.

Great bar to goto after hitting the slopes. A lot better than the loft up the street. Friendly, great environment, and has a great story behind the bar. Beer is fresh and food is great! read more

Fantastic service-- the kitchen was closed, but the bartender promptly came over to greet us and gave us a suggestion for dinner. Made sure to stop back after dinner for a drink-- great selection and reasonable prices! read more

Good food, better bar. If you are looking for a good place to relax after a day at Okemo this is a nice spot.

Great food, great staff, great music, fantastic atmosphere!! Food came out fast even though it was very busy on a holiday weekend. The hostess was great, very friendly - she told us we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table but she got us Sat in under 20. Our server was helpful and knowlegable about the menu. We felt welcome and had a great time! Highly highly recommend. read more

My fiancé can be quoted as saying "these are some of the best wings I've had in a while!" And they do look and smell amazing! I ordered the verbacon and its honestly soooooo good...you can really taste the maple syrup glaze makes a huge difference! The atmosphere here is awesome very friendly and inviting...local bar type feel...good drinks and beers! We will definitely be making this a regular stop on our future trips to okemo! Only suggestion is maybe slightly better service...haven't seen our waitress in about 25 minutes. read more

This place is a must stop for us! We stop here multiple times on our weekend getaways to Ludlow Vt. Food, awesome! Staff, the best! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. OMG the wings! Buffalo wings are top notch. Thank you to the staff for making this our go to spot! We love it!!! read more

They were out of the only meal that anyone recommended...Jamison Chicken on a Saturday night @ 7:30. The meatloaf made my husbands stomach upset. The pot roast which the waitress recommended was salty and bland, the calamari was anemic and tasted like nothing. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else! read more

Guinness stew was inedible, chicken sandwich gave my son a stomach ache. Service was excellent.

Went there this morning and was treated very unpleasantly since we were not regulars. A group of regulars came in after us and they were going to be sat before us, until the regular left knowing that was not right!! The hostess then stated to another employee, that we ruined it for a long time customer. Absolutely RUDE! No other way to describe her. We left and will NEVER give them our business again. Sad because we just bought a weekend home in Ludlow. read more

We went two nights in a row and loved the atmosphere and food! After a long day of skiing.....it was the best comfort food! 9 of us were happy! read more

If you like burgers this is the place to go in town! I had their maple burger and it tasted absolutely delicious! 4 Stars!

This is a great place with amazing entertaining and engaging bartenders. The only reason I have given it only one star is the fact that they don't allow ski boots in the bar??!! I have skied all over the world and I have never come across a bar in a ski town that wouldn't allow ski boots. Ridiculous!! read more

Great dinner , third year in a row. Chicken Jamison, meatloaf, salmon special all top notch.Friendly, helpful server, fun casual atmosphere- highly recommend! read more

Killarney - Burgers Near Me - Ludlow, Vermont

My Husband and I are locals. We recently got married on October 4 in Ludlow and we knew we had to share our love for Killarney's with our family. We worked with Mark and the night before the wedding our whole wedding party, and our parents enjoyed a delicious rehearsal dinner in the private back dining room. The service was excellent, the food was high quality, and the memories were priceless. Mark even made sure to have my favorite (steak tips) on the special menu. read more

This place was great. Great beer selection, diverse menu and the food was excellent. Staff was super friendly too. If we are ever in the area again, we will make a point to stop in. read more

Killarney - you need to step up your game. I came here with a few friends for dinner after skiing Okemo earlier in the day. We were told that it would be about a 20 min wait, so we decided to hit up the bar while waiting for our table. The bar area was pretty cool, lots of fun decor and a decent selection of draft beers. Once our table was ready, we headed to our seats, and ordered a few appetizers for the table. When the apps came out, they were unceremoniously dropped off and we were left without plates for us to use to share them. So, after it became evident that no one would be coming back any time soon to give us plates, we ended up making due with the situation. I ordered the Chicken Jameson for my entree. Sounds good, right? Well, maybe it might have been, had it not been fried into what tasted like an over cooked hockey puck. I had a hard time cutting through the chicken even though I was provided with a steak knife. Not cool, Killarney! Finally, when we got the check, we asked the waitress to split the bill evenly 5 ways. I was told she scoffed and seemed annoyed by this. However, isn't that pretty common these days???? I guess the bottom line is that If you are looking to get a drink, The Killarney may be for you, but avoid the food! read more

Lovely bar. Very spacious can fit any type of crowd or group. However walked in around 11 o clock and was immediately refused service because of the bartenders opinion. Said they would be fined to serve customers under the influence inside a bar. I am a 32 year old man with a wife and kids if I was not okay or unable to walk into a bar I would understand this policy. But anyone who consumes one beverage is technically under the influence. To be immediately rejected service or to even be waited on is absurd. Asked to speak with the owner who was no help. Or even a advocate of anything that was happening. Had no explanation or reasoning to the verdict. I would I have called the police if it meant something more to me then a simple one drink night cap. With all this said I can not recommend supporting an owner who does not believe the customer is right at first without hearing our side read more

My wife and I were disappointed in this pub. The food was so so and the ambiance was old and dated. I can not understand why an Irish pub sells "Shepherd's pie" and uses beef. Are they afraid their clientele can't handle lamb? If you are going to sell it, call it Cottage pie and be honest about it. read more

good food, nice place, fair prices, and always a fun time. Only advice is not to go if you are in a hurry - it's not that kinda place - go to relax, hang, enjoy and eat/drink well. read more

Stopped by here after snagging some ski rentals and was highly recommended by the other person I was with. Really liked the atmosphere and the band playing was really good, albeit loud (we got a table next to them so we knew what we were getting ourselves into). Split an appetizer and got two beers before getting dinner. The appetizer was really good (pot of gold skins) and can never go wrong with beer. Why the 3 stars? The service. I've never had to get up and look for my waitress before in my life until tonight. But after over an hour after placing our second drink order (while the other tables' waitresses came by 3 times and patrons at the bar were getting drinks regularly) I had to. Found her laughing and talking with some people at the other end of the restaurant. She saw me, immediately looked embarrassed, and ran towards me to ask if we got our drinks. I canceled our now hour and a half old drink order after her was found chatting and asked for the check. Willing to give this place another chance, just be wary of the hit or miss service on a weekend. My friend apologized for recommending it. read more

By far the best place in Ludlow. It's a great bar/pub with live music or dine in the restaurant for a more low key atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. The bar is lively, inviting and serves a full menu. Children are welcome (in the bar area too) and can enjoy a great children's menu. Music in the bar is not too loud and we were able to hold a conversation without yelling at each other. Menu offers a good variety of home cooked Irish pub items as well as a full list of specials. This has become our go to restaurant in Ludlow. Eat here! read more

Decor was great, beer selection was good. Food was overpriced and so so. Expected more from a $15 burger. Kids pasta for $7 was pretty pricey too. Suggest you have a drink or two or three here, and eat elsewhere. read more
