I'm very confused that this place is so busy. The service is good, and ambiance fair, but they only have 8 things on the menu for dinner and one is glorified spaghetti and the other a glorified cheeseburger. The crab cake was $31.00, we ordered it because it says, "jumbo". I thiught it would be huge and worth the money. Ashley and James at the bar were sweethearts! The barista who greeted me this morning was a sweetheart. Management went above and beyond to check in on guests. Everyone was so friendly and warm! Really fantastic and a huge improvement from an experience I had a few months ago. Bravo! Really a joy! I loved my Dropout Iced coffee, subtle in its choc and caramel. I added drizzle which was great! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich as a wrap. It was fine though I've had it before the way it is listed on the menu. I have been here a bunch and this cost was like all of the rest. Good service from friendly and efficient servers,a lively buzz, clever drinks, and mostly, really good food. This time I had a nice Old Fashioned that went light on the sweetness. It was nicely crafted and served on big cubes. For dinner we split the Oyster on the half shell (fresh with typical sauces - the mignonette was great.). We also split the Gem Caesar (crisp with an aggressive garlic dressing and Parmesan crisps ). However, this time I was less then thrilled with my lunch choice. For the table we ordered the Short Rib Potstickers. They has AMAZING in flavor! My boyfriend and I both ordered the Roasted Turkey French dip. I ordered mine with a salad and he got the fries. The sandwich was mundane to say the least. Nothing exciting at all. The natural jus was bland and the horseradish aioli was basically mayo. My boyfriend really liked his fries and I liked my salad at least! My cousins ordered the Roasted Chicken & Avocado salad, the Hot Honey Crispy sandwich and on the brunch menu the Rancheros Breakfast Bowl. Everyone said there food was great, to which I 100% believe! Well first, let me apologize for only one photo! I've been here three times and I've been so in the moment, this mediocre photo of some desserts is all I got. But WOW is this place amazing! The setting is pristine. (Even the kitchen, which I saw accidentally while tracking down the men's restroom.) It is so common to read reviews for servers, chefs, managers and etc. You seldom hear much about the Hostess. That's because they greet you with a kind smile knowing this is the last time they will interact with the customer after they are seated. Now, that has changed after meeting TESS at The Henry's. What an amazing experience she has put us through. We had a baby stroller with and 2month baby and a 14 month old. In most restaurants you would feel like a burden because of the space occupied and trying to find a comfortable seating. On the phone, she was so pleasant making reservations letting her know we have a Pomeranian and two babies. Everything I asked her she said yes. Can you accommodate our dog? Yes. We have two infants? She said, no problem. When we got there, we were greeted by a welcoming smile even the Shah of Iran would melt his heart. She sat us even earlier than our reservation. She took us to the outdoor courtyard to a comfortable 4 chair table in the center. It was so right even though our double stroller was sticking out. We weren't there more than 10 minutes as we navigated through the menu that she came back and found a more suitable seating equipped with one side on cushions and more room for the stroller. Tess is a very thoughtful and empathetic person. She puts herself in her customers needs and looks for better options to make the customer comfortable. She makes you feel like you're visiting her home and she wants the best for her friends and visitors. I have never written and review on a Hostess and I don't think I would be fortunate in the future to find anyone who can outdo her. I sure do miss the Henry! This was a go-to coffee date, Sunday brunch, out-of-town visitors need to come here spot for me. I discovered it during covid and once I worked from their coffee area once, I was hooked. It could be tough to find both parking and a seat inside, especially during prime hours (8-10ish or early afternoon) but every time I was able to snag a spot, I always really enjoyed myself and the atmosphere, coffee, and food. I would usually get a mocha or try their specialty of the day/week. Their pastry selection was always a hit (macarons, muffins etc). I did enjoy their french dip, breakfast bowls, and drinks as well. Came here for the first time and was very impressed with our whole experience! From the appearance, service, and quality of our meals - it's clear to see why The Henry has the reputation it has. We were able to get a reservation on the patio, which was gorgeous. They have fans and misters going, so the heat really wasn't much of a factor, thankfully! There are fireplaces and really nice string lights as well that really set the mood when the sun set. Started with some drinks and the Parmesan Truffle Fries. Delicious! The drinks menu is a good size, good selection of local breweries on tap! We ordered the Caesar Salad with salmon and the Grilled Shrimp Taco Platter. Both good, but the taco platter stole the show! My wife and I went there for the first time today. We wanted to try something new. We were hoping we would have a good experience and be return customers since we head out for lunch pretty much every Saturday. The valet guy was great, the lot wasn't very full at all and he said if we wanted to we could self park anywhere. So we did, upon our arrival we were told we couldn't sit outside, and that we would have to sit pretty much wherever they put us, or sit at the bar. Plus it would be a 15 minute wait. Which was odd, because there were like 20 tables open. We figured they were under staffed and we tried to be patient. After about 15 min they came and sat us at a table. I can only speak for the breakfast experience. Lousy. You pay first and tip then too! Really? Tip before eating? Then you go and grab your own silverware out of cookie jars many steps away. If you need a refill, you have no idea of the plan they have for that. I flagged a table boy who said he'd get me one. I've been dying to come to this location for what feels like forever. After an event nearby today my daughter and I made our way over for some coffee and pastries. I wish I'd arrived a bit earlier for breakfast, but we'll save that for next time. We weren't in the mood for lunch just yet. While everything came out looking delicious I was pleased with the majority of our order. The vibe alone is phenomenal. The storefront is beautiful. Of course you have to take the obligatory picture with The Henry sign. We walked in to a busy place. We only had a short wait and were greeted with smiles at the coffee counter. I ordered a cold brew of course my usual way and found out they don't offer heavy whipping cream so I opted for a small amount of half and half. We also ordered a dropout iced coffee as well a carrot cake they had and a danish. Let me tell you the carrot cake was one of my dreams! Hand down best one ever. Been twice and it's been great both times. Service is great and the food is fantastic. When I sat at the bar for dinner, it was a great local crowd who were friendly and created a social vibe. Bar tenders were equally friendly while also being highly attentive and providing fast service. Good drinks too. I've also eaten breakfast on the patio, which is a great vibe too. I don't remember if there is a bar out there, but if you're with a group this is a great option. We sat at a small table in the middle of the patio. A fireplace and pole warmers kept the vibe nice and us warm. Service on the patio was also fast and attentive. I had breakfast enchiladas. They were exactly what you'd expect and delicious. They have two patios. The one in the front doesn't look very vibey to me; I'd stick to the back patio. The front is just too open to the parking lot I think. The Henry isn't a big chain but it's also not a small mom and pop. I believe it's a Fox restaurant. But, even though it's big and somewhat commercial, it still has a very local hometown Phoenix vibe. Everyone is really friendly and gives you a "neighborhood bar" type of comfort, despite being a huge restaurant in a somewhat boujie area. This is no simple feat and is something we should hope to preserve in our city. If you're not sitting at the bar, I recommend reservations. It's a busy place. If you want someplace quintessentially East-Phoenix-Camelback neighborhood vibe that is also very friendly and social with delicious food and great casual service then The Henry is definitely for you. Fries a bit crunchily overcooked. Meh 5/10 Broccolini was flavorless though it had parmesan atop. 5/10 The skirt steak caught me completely off guard as the description did not do it justice. Though I initially observed it to be not cooked to my order, they had bigger plans so just trust what you get. It was perfectly tender. Plated on a bed of rice which was tossed w a medley of veggies and some incredible sauce. I can't speak much about their oysters, I did try them but I'm not a huge fan of oysters in general due to texture so not the best judge on if it's good or not but my cousin really enjoyed them. I'm a sucker for the Korean skirt steak so I got those again! Maybe I'll try something else next time. I decided to have the strawberry colada smoothie from the coffee shop when I was leaving. That was really good. The one lovely thing about the Henry is also having the coffee bar so you can order and grab as you leave. Their coffee bar also allows you to other food items as well. Okeyy well I came here for coffee as well and that was phenomenal too! I left there so happy... Anyway, at first I didn't realize it was the same The Henry place as I agreed to meet for coffee here, not restaurant like last time. So I thought I was going to a coffee shop, and then saw the fancy restaurant inside and later realized it was the nice fancy vibes place I went before for lunch. This time I came for coffee, and when I arrived since Bart went to the other The Henry location (it was a bit hectic start) I got us both desserts called "Bear Claw" which were soo cool. I mean they tasted great but half of it was just the coolness of the name. Bart came from the gym earlier so he wasn't too hungry but he really appreciated the gesture :). And I wasn't a huge fan per say of other clientele (didn't talk to anyone else there, though the barista servers were nice) BUT with Bart we just had phenomenal vibes and laughed and talked a lot and it was so cool :D. We used an old gift card that gave our server some trouble but he was very kind and patient and got the manager to come and address the issue.
