Stopped by here for lunch and a coffee after I landed in Phoenix. The staff were so kind and the food and coffee came out quickly! It was a great place to grab a bite and work on some emails. Open seating made for no wait times. Food was delicious as well! I will be back for sure.
First time coming for brunch and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious, very rich, coffee was great! Service was fast, we did end up sitting outside though since the wait for inside was over an hour. Will be back!
This place is definitely one of my new favorite spots. I'd made a reservation for 3 on a weeknight around 515p and was glad I did since it did get busy. This location of The Henry is very large, and had a breakfast/coffee bar area that I'll have to come back and check out. Emma was the hostess and when I asked about the happy hour menu, she said you have to be seated in certain areas to take part in it. She offered to move me if I decided I wanted to move later. Jenna was our waitress and was super awesome, making an exception for our table to have the happy hour specials. I really appreciated this. She recommended the Uptown Cocktail and it was great!! We tried the Umami Brussel Sprouts which were a 10/10! So good, highly recommend! We also tried the Short Rib Potstickers which were good. For my entree I ordered the Sprouts and Squash salad and added chicken. It was delicious, again, 10/10. Would order again. I can't wait to come back. Thank you to all the staff who made our dinner such an awesome experience.
The Henry has just the right combination of classy and casual. I can see why they call themselves the "Greatest neighborhood restaurant." I knew I would love this place before I even stepped foot into the establishment. Sometimes you just have a good feeling about a place because of how it presents but don't even realize that it could be even better than expected. Well, that is the case with The Henry's location in Arcadia. It has been such a pleasure to dine here for a casual coffee and get work done, lunch, dinner or brunch. Each occasion has been quite enjoyable with great customer service, well flavored food and just a lovely place to have any meal. Here is a list of items I have tried: 1.Egg White Turkey Omelet with home fries. Minus the Turkey- A great brunch option with a generous egg white and mixed veggies with well seasoned home fries. 2.Scottish Salmon with risotto and beets- This dish was very interesting and the combination of flavors surprisingly complemented each. Especially the sweet flavor of the beets pulled the dish together. 3.Spicy Tuna & Crispy Rice* and side of fries- Such a great appetizer. I love rice but this dish was an interesting twist on what form rice can come in and was still happy! 4.Cinnamon Coffee Cake and Cinnamon Tea- The cinnamon cakes was tasty and a good size. The tea complemented cake very well. 5.Bagel and Cream Cheese- You can't mess this up. 6.French Toast- Solid Brunch option and well balanced sweetness with light cream cheese frosting. If you love a cinnabon the this was its cousin. 7.Flower Child Scrambled with Eggs Whites- Such a large portion and wholesome meal. Loved that they were able to accommodate the request to do egg whites and not have any meat. Smoked Pineapple Margarita- I was told it tastes as good as it looks. The staff here are just top notch. I love that they have :uniforms" which keeps things so dignified and classy. Plus, the spoon tie pin is just such a neat detail. I just can't rave about this place enough. Clean restrooms, great indoor and outdoor seating. Plus, they are smart about having the private rooms available for open seating off to the side of the Cafe area when no event is being held. Just an all around slam dunk! This place is great for any occasion!
Very tasty and fresh food, with an incredible ambiance and great service! The menu options are limited and the place is a little pricey, but it has a high end feel with food to match! I definitely recommend the pineapple and Thai basil soda, and the Arcadia location for some amazing views!
The Henry never disappoints. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We had reservations to sit outside, but the table was tiny, so we decided to move to the bar and I'm so glad we did because the service was fantastic. The bartender was incredibly friendly and made the whole experience even better. Their margarita was delicious and so refreshing. I loved that it's made with only three ingredients and you can really taste how clean and balanced it is. For our appetizer we ordered the Pressed Yellowtail Sushi. It was really flavorful and beautifully presented. The only thing I wish they had was a little wasabi on the side. For dinner we split the Braised Short Rib and it was incredible. The meat was tender, lean, and rich, and it paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes. Great food, great drinks, and great service. Definitely one of those places you keep coming back to.
Came back here for dinner and had a great time! Leanna was our waitress and she was one of the best waitresses I've been served by in scottsdale. She was knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and overall extremely friendly. Would return just for her! We had an espresso martini, and family style shared: bolognese, vodka pasta, and a chicken Cesar salad. 10/10, we love this place .
I came here for Sunday brunch and it went so good. We had a reservation and got seated right away. The restaurant was pretty busy, they also have a bar area, coffee shop with its own seating. I got the wagyu burger and it came with fries it was really good and super filling. The French toast was nothing short of amazing, I'm not sure how they prepare it to the point where each bite feels curated with flavor! The California Bowl was solid, the potatoes and salsa with the eggs were all cooked perfectly. I would definitely come back here for another brunch. It's a place where you can dress up if you want to, or keep it a little more casual :)
Food, service, ambiance was amazing!!! This definitely a place you can dine with friends, host a great business meeting, or just sit and enjoy coffee while working. This place is AMAZING! The food, service, and ambiance are all 5 stars. First, a huge shout-out to my waiter, Ben. He was doing some next-level multitasking and didn't skip a beat. Even after we paid the bill and sat for a while chatting, he noticed my water was empty and still came over to refill it. Now the food. We started with the guacamole and the artichoke and ricotta dip--both were creamy and delicious. I ordered a sangria and it was perfection in a glass. Super refreshing in this Phoenix heat. For my entree, I got the Harvest Bowl and added steak. The steak was delightfully flavorful and cooked perfectly. The combination of ingredients sounded like a lot on paper, but it all went together perfectly. My taste buds were dancing! I tried a bit of everyone's meal and every single dish was a winner. I only wish they had a cheesecake option for dessert, but that's not stopping me from giving them a well-deserved 5 stars!
I know I have already reviewed, maybe more than once even, but it's so good, I always have to sing their praises. Never can go wrong with their short rib pot stickers. I dream of their umami brussel sprouts, which is the perfect mix of cheese and sweet soy. Paired with their smoked pineapple margarita, which is also a nice marriage of pineapple sweet and habanero spice. Top that with fantastic service, I always leave here happy. Busy but not so much that you get lost or short on great service. The ambiance is laid back and not stuffy, even considering the wonderful location & how it's neighbors can give the impression otherwise.
Live laugh love Alec. We had Alec as a server for valentine's day and he was the best EVER. Alec is super attentive and observant even from across the restaurant. the korean prime skirt steak is tender, and i love the marinade on it. The roasted chicken is super juicy. The molten butter cake is the perfect dessert to have at the end of this meal.
The Henry was the perfect brunch spot for my sister in laws bachelorette! We decided to go out to brunch only one day and made a reservation for this cute spot! To start, of course we ordered some cocktails. I did the espresso martini. It was so good! We also ordered the truffle fries because how can you not. I loved the aioli it came with! To eat, my friend and I shared the caesar salad and some rigatoni pasta. The pasta was sooo good and so was the caesar salad! It was the perfect girls lunch. One of my friends had the burger and she loved it, too! Our server and the rest of the staff was so kind and even took some pics for us! It was seriously such a cute spot for brunch with the girls! Would definitely recommend this spot!
My friend had her baby shower at The Henry. I had no idea they had so many areas for hosting and celebrations, but we were in the tasting kitchen and it was really beautiful! Because this was a private event, service was a bit different than usual. We had a few servers who took our drink orders and food orders, they were kind and attentive. The baby shower had a pre-set selection of appetizers, meals, and desserts. I loved the hummus and carrots! For my meal I opted for a harvest bowl, it was equally delicious. For dessert she had brownie bites and carrot cake cheesecake bites. The whole baby shower was a home run. My friend was allowed to bring in outside flowers (from AJ's) for the centerpiece and they had two cocktail tables for sign-in and gifts. Beautiful room and it was very private. My friend said the room reservation was $900, plus the cost of beverages, food, and gratuity. She had about 30 people in attendance. It was lovely. Had some people in town visiting, so I decided on breakfast/brunch at The Henry. Our server Hannah was fantastic--super attentive, warm, and welcoming from start to finish. Before I even sat down, I had a fun conversation with the girl at the pastry counter who was really engaging and kind. Once seated, I started with the mixed berry danish, which was solid--very flaky and berry-forward. For drinks, I loved the Bloody Mary options, and the espresso martini hit the spot as well. For my main, I went with the crab cake and added an egg, which I asked for over medium but came out sunny side up. It actually worked perfectly though--the arugula salad paired beautifully with a squeeze of lemon, bringing everything together nicely. My friends ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Cinnamon Sugar French Toast, both of which I got to taste. The Benedict had a house-made english muffin and that was good, but the side of potatoes were slightly overcooked and the bacon was tougher than expected. The French toast had great flavor but the edges were overly hard and chewy--it needed more time soaking in the custard. With so much cinnamon sugar flavor already there, regular maple syrup would've been perfect. The Henry's food never really blows me away, but it's a solid and consistent go-to spot in Arcadia. We arrived on time for our birthday reservation and were seated within reasonable timing by the hostess. We have come for birthday brunch here on 3 occasions now, but this one was particularly disappointing. Our server was very polite, positive, but unfortunately overwhelmed and inattentive. She did not revisit the table after our orders arrived. The pop stickers were overcooked/burnt and we had to grab the attention of another staff member to have the issue resolved. Steak salads arrived. My fiancée(it was her birthday) had been given a very undercooked steak that she had ordered medium. Once again. The server was inattentive and we had to grab the manager to get this corrected. She was very helpful, but the experience had already been ruined. I came because our hotel concierge raved about this place and their happy hour. Said it was good for light bites with flair and for brunch. We were dropped off and the place had a nice, clean/chic curb appeal. We even noticed a fireplace to the side with patio seating. When we entered I saw a coffee bar/dessert set-up that looked like it was meant for to-go orders. I asked the hostess if we could grab a seat at the bar and we were promptly given menus with the go ahead. Well here goes the rub. We chatted with a staff member that was restocking glassware, but it was made clear a bartender/server would have to take our order. Well it took several minutes to get water/greeting. Downside? Well those 15 mins that flew by meant brunch was no longer being served. Happy hour was not daily, but I came for food so that was a minor detail. Not because food specials are not offered, but I had no expectation for the menu itself. Well maybe the one, that I could get a brunch type item. That aside, it feels like the neighborhood bar that is packed with regulars. If you ever felt like your seat was someone's Sundays favorite, well that's the best way I could describe it. Lots of conversations with certain people and an icy feeling when your turn was up. The menu felt limited, but the food had was good. I skipped drinking because it was clear to me that I'd prefer to explore other areas in town. Luckily we have friends to help a tourist like me out. The coffee was probably my favorite part of the experience. Love a bold and sweet coffee anyday. Maybe others will get a more rounded experience or go during a non peak time. read more
My husband and I went out for a date night. We have been trying to come to this spot for a very long time, he just happened to surprise me with going last night! This restaurant was homely & intimate. We started with some drinks and an appetizer at the bar. The wait was only 30 minutes for the two of us but the bartenders were inviting. The service was prompt and the bartender was friendly and understood that we were waiting for a table. Once we sat down at a table, the server was also prompt & to the point. We ordered our drinks and then our entrees as soon as we were greeted. The food was divine! We are definitely going to come back here! Dessert was splendid. We saw many groups order this dessert so we had to also try it and I am thankful we did! I truly recommend coming here, even if it's for breakfast or lunch. My friend made reservations for brunch here for the 4th of July. It was an old Applebees location I believe and their renovation was amazing because it felt nothing like the Applebees chain. The detail in the chairs, chandelier, the wallpaper in the restrooms to the cocktail menu was so well thought out and unique. My favorite color is green so it was nice to see the main accent color was green. I've never actually been to any of the other Henry locations and now I'll want to try them all because our experience here was amazing. It wasn't busy and the atmosphere was very open and has a very Palm Springs vibe! The food = incredible! The portions were perfect! We also ordered cocktails for brunch. Two mimosa with guava and then two espresso martinis. Both drinks were also very delightful. The guava for the mimosa was so refreshing you can keep drinking more! They should add unlimited mimosas to their menu!! The espresso martini had a hint of orange and if you love those orange type chocolates, you'd absolutely love this drink. All in all, an amazing experience as our waiter was attentive and never skipped a beat! I've already told several folks to go for brunch and a few have already texted me that they've loved it! Hands down the best! My husband has been wanting to take me here for a while, so we decided to stop in. We were seated very quickly and the staff was very nice. The inside was such a vibe and had really cute decor. We ordered the Beverly Hills club, roasted turkey dip, espresso martini, and bacon and blue bloody mary. Not to forget, we added on truffle fries. When I say everything was cooked to perfection, it was cooked to perfection. The turkey was very tender and flavorful. The truffle fries were garlicky and delicious. The aïoli for the truffle fries was very good. It was by far the best turkey sandwiches my husband and I have ever had. Now let's get into the drinks. The espresso martini, the best. There's no other way to describe it outside of being so delicious. My husband doesn't even like vodka and he absolutely loved the espresso martini. The Bloody Mary, my favorite. The bacon and blue cheese olives took it to a whole other level. All in all, we'd definitely be back as everything was just amazing. read more

Food quality: we were happy with our food! We just felt the portions were a little on the small size for the prices. A few of us were disappointed by how hard and over cooked the bread was. So it was very tough and hurt to eat. For example the bread on the avocado toast. Service: Excellent! A real highlight of our experience. They even split out checks 8 ways and were very accommodating about the weather for us. Atmosphere: very cute. We sat outside in cute court like space. I always land at Phoenix International Airport at around 8:30am. As soon as I get my rental car we hit up a brunch spot nearby. The Henry is stylish and chic. I made the reservations pretty last minute so the only available seating was outside. Huge umbrellas will cover you and the constant mist with the fans blowing will keep you cool. We actually loved it. I decided to share two savory and a sweet dish with my son. The Cinnamon Sugar French Toast was not good. It was hard and dry. Even the chocolate syrup couldn't save it. Surprising because everything else was stellar. The Flower Child Scramble was absolutely delicious. Love the cauliflower, asparagus, mushrooms and kale in it. I always love a good scramble over an omelette. My son enjoyed the Scottish Salmon, it was unbelievably fresh and perfectly seasoned. Came in with a party of 5 and they offered us to eat at the bar since it's a hour wait. The bartender that served us was absolutely the sweetest. I loved the rustic chill vibes that this place gave. If I lived in Arizona I'd definitely be coming here often. But the food, omg the food was absolutely delicious!! read more

The Henry is one of my favorite spots in all of Phoenix. The variety of settings in this location make it the perfect spot to grab a coffee and work on your laptop , sit at the bar and enjoy a happy hour drink, or eat a formal meal in the dining area celebrating a special occasion. The Henry will be a great fit for you. They even have a special room in the back by the kitchen that can be reserved for small parties. The food here gives off the feel of organic farm to table. Their ingredients pair so well and taste soo fresh. Their fig mule is a favorite drink of mine, the champagne vinaigrette on the salad is divine and the salmon with golden beets and short rib entrées have mouth watering flavors that satisfy any palate. read more

We came for an earlier Saturday night dinner to celebrate Mom's birthday. It's a beautiful building, we were seated quickly and had a cool view of the kitchen and bar. Our waiter, Casey, was phenomenal. He had great recommendations and was so kind to comp one of our drinks since my mom didn't want in-restaurant dessert, which was again so thoughtful. Drinks were delish! Everyone enjoyed their meals, we had a strawberry watermelon salad (not pictured) that was also extremely fresh and tasty. Heatlamps on for the chilly night. Hospitality. VERY FRIENDLY, knowledgeable, professional, accommodating, and pleasant. On point. Host's fit can make you want to clutch your pearls. I got the harvest bowl, which was superb! I was glad to see at least one vegan entree on the menu. There's some other vegetarian sides or apps that could potentially be made vegan as well. The bowl itself left me very full, and I enjoyed all the delicious flavors and textures. My gals and I ordered the aperol spritz, which was the perfect light cocktail for a hot day. read more

Gorgeous property. Building is huge, and so is the patio which has an awesome fireplace. Service was outstanding by everyone I encountered. Truffle fries were offensively overpriced. Fries a bit crunchily overcooked. Meh 5/10 Broccolini was flavorless though it had parmesan atop. 5/10 The skirt steak caught me completely off guard as the description did not do it justice. Though I initially observed it to be not cooked to my order, they had bigger plans so just trust what you get. It was perfectly tender. Plated on a bed of rice which was tossed w a medley of veggies and some incredible sauce. The sauce was so layered with flavors I had no idea what I was eating but I cleaned my plate & it made up for lackluster app & side. Wow! Hats off to them. 20/10!! read more

The Henry is always a go-to for us because of the good, consistent food and service. I had the bolognese for the first time and, truth be told, they do the Italian dish a lot better than some Italian restaurants do. Even above the pasta, the standout was the side of garlic bread (it stole the show). Per usual, we came happy and left happy. read more

They definitely had some vegetarian dishes, but I don't think anything was Vegan. They post the menu on their website.

You'll have to modify. I went for Saturday brunch and tried the kale salad and it was terrible after modifying. I then got the avocado toast which was ok. I don't recall other options.
