Very unique place with a very large array of options. We were seated quickly and offered drinks and our order taken as well. Loved the staff and the food was delicious. I loved the waffles decor on the ceiling that's a fun touch. I would recommend giving them a try

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BUTTERFIELD'S!! I've been coming here for 10 years now and they never disappoint! The service and food are always top tier! I love the cinnamon roll pancakes, it's always my go-to order! I love the new updated interior as well. Definitely recommend!!!

In the area for a few days and this place got great reviews as well as a recommendation from our concierge. It has a nice patio as well as cute bright indoor seating. We were seated quickly and the staff were prompt and friendly. We had lots of great choices and I appreciated we could do gluten free options. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, the eggs were so fluffy and light it seemed like air, and my poached eggs were perfectly runny. Delicious breakfast in a fun environment! The menu had a lot of great options and we would go back again for just the same type of quality but in a new taste. It is in Scottsdale so prices are a bit higher, and they did charge extra for gluten free toast but I appreciated being asked about it before they assumed we would be ok with the up charge. It was a fun patio as well for siting and chatting and no one pressured us to leave quickly. A nice breakfast option!

Pancakes in the business name? Sign me up! I went here on a Sunday morning and it was CROWDED. Unfortunately, they do not have any sort of virtual waitlist so you have to be in-person to put your name in for a table. The line to see the host stand was out the door and wrapped around part of the building. It took about 20 minutes to get in the door and then it was another 45 minute wait for us to be seated. Their estimated wait time was accurate as we were seated around that time. I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pecan Caramel Pancakes. Pancakes were delicious and fluffy. I liked all the different flavors they had on their menu. Service was average. It being super busy could have had something to do with it, but it took an extended amount of time to get our drinks and even longer for my friend to get milk with her coffee. Lots of parking is available as Butterfield's as it is located is in a shopping center, but this is a stand alone building. If I end up making my way back to Arizona, I'd come back here but I would try to go at a non peak dining time.

Excellent breakfast restaurant. Highly recommend. Specialty pancakes are terrific. Omelettes are high and fluffy and include breakfast potatoes and pancakes. Large portions

Very solid place to grab a good breakfast. Flavors are bold and not overly sweet. Service was very quick despite how crowded it was. Fun place to take the family over the weekend!

If you haven't been to Butterfields yet, you are missing out! Hands down, the cinnamon pancakes are SO good a total must-try. The decor is beyond cute, and the overall atmosphere is just so warm and welcoming. Having the option for outside seating makes it an even better spot to sit back and enjoy a meal. On top of the amazing vibe, the portions are huge (you definitely won't leave hungry!) and the service is always consistently top-notch. Butterfields is easily a favorite--10/10 highly recommend!

One of the better breakfast places in the area. They're always busy and bustling no matter the day of the week. On our recent visit, the wait time for a table wasn't bad, less than ten minutes, even though there were multiple parties ahead of us. Service was fast and friendly. The ambiance was energetic and comfortable. On this visit, we decided to order the Mexicana omelette, New Mexico skillet, and banana cream crepes. All the items were of good portion size and the omelette and skillet were seasoned well. The banana cream crepes were sweet but not too sweet, they nicely balanced out the savory from our other dishes. Overall, it was a satisfactory visit. Don't let the wait times hold you back from dining here since table turnovers are relatively fast.

Visited last week for the first time and I am always wary when a place has a food in their name. It seems presumptuous to imply you have the best of anything. Well let me tell you this, Butterfields should change their name to "Worlds Best Pancake"! I grew up in a southern household and thought nothing could top mom's homemade pancakes but boy was I wrong. Even if you don't "love" pancakes you owe it to yourself to visit and you might become addicted. Their basic pancake is incredible and they have tons of options to mix it up. I tried the pecan apple topping and it was great. As you can see in the pictures the portions are huge. Everything else we had (eggs, hash browns, crepes and bacon) were also amazing but the pancake is the star. Creamy butter and thick maple syrup is all you need to eat what I think is the best pancake I have ever had. The service was spot on and the place was very clean which is also a huge selling point. Get there early on the weekend because there will be a wait but I guarantee it will be worth your time. Can't wait to go back! "FIMP" Food is my Passion

I hadn't been here in a while and was missing this place, I remember why! Met up with a friend for breakfast and our server was friendly and service was fast. Service is always fast at Butters, no matter how busy it is. The tip for it being less crowded.... The earlier, the better and no wait. Heated patio was awesome for a cool morning. Love all the gluten free options and my favorite is the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice!

Do they do call ahead seating?

We seat our guests on a first-come, first-serve basis. We do not accept reservations or call-aheads and we require all parties to be present at the time of seating. We hope this info helps you.

Is this a woman owned business? Looking to have an IWD event catered and would like to support a local woman owned business.

Not sure if you've noticed but all their waitresses are women with dark colored hair. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have been coming to butterfields for years but without the wait list we won't be bothering. Waits are too long and you now can't plan?

Agree! This was our favorite breakfast place and we used to eat there 1-2 times per week. Haven't been back since they abolished the wait list. Even during the week they get so busy and the waitlist made it easy to plan ahead.

    Where is this?

Just east of Scottsdale Rd on Shea Blvd in Scottsdale.

Is yelp wait list option removed?

Pity they opted out. I found it very helpful. And they get so busy and without a reservation system it's a turn off to go there

What happen to help check in feature?

I think you may mean "Yelp check in" Look for the ... menu in the upper right corner of the Yelp app…

Does this restaurant serve mimosas or other breakfast adult beverages?

Currently, we do not offer alcoholic beverages. We are famous for our fresh-squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice.

How is the covid set up? is the seating spaced out?

Yes, but we eat out on the patio

    How good are the potatoes?

Potatoes are good but if you prefer the stringy hash browns, you won't be excited about the potatoes.

    Can I make reservations here?

Reservations can be made online for 4 people or less. Also you must be within 5 miles of the restaurant to make the reservation/ Butterfields reservations are through NoWait or Yelp. We have never called in a reservation.

What time do they stop serving breakfast or does it completely continue til closing?

Breakfast is served all day long.

It's equally perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. Two of us ordered the "Beef Bolognese," and we were both speechless after the first bite. I've had Bolognese at some of the best Italian restaurants, yet this version is in a league of its own. I honestly don't know what Chef Dom Ruggiero does differently, but somehow the sauce has an incredibly special balanced flavor that's impossible to describe until you taste it. It's absolutely sublime. I can honestly say I'll order it every time I come back and recommend it to everyone I know. Our friend ordered the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich" and loved it. The chicken was perfectly breaded, wonderfully crispy on the outside, and incredibly juicy and tender inside. She said it was so good and so were the seasoned fries. My husband chose the "Ibérico Pork Skirt Steak," and every component of the dish worked together brilliantly. The pork was unbelievably tender, and it was served with Japanese sweet potatoes, apples, cashews, sesame seeds, cabbage, and miso. Every ingredient complemented the others beautifully and rested on an outstanding creamy base. It was one of those dishes where each bite makes you tell everyone at the table that they have to taste it. The service was just as impressive as the food--friendly, attentive, and welcoming (from the hostess to the server). Hush Public House has mastered that rare combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that's warm and comfortable either at the bar or table. If you haven't been yet, go! It's one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley.

This was years ago, before the speakeasy existed. I remember we were greeted at the table with glasses of champagne. Service was impeccable, food was delicious. We had one of the best desserts of our lives. 10/10 first impression. We went back maybe a year later after the speakeasy was built in, and it seemed like all their attention went to that instead. They were out of a bunch of dishes on the menu. I remember we all got our food except for my husband and we finally had to ask the server what was going on with his dish and that's when they told us they were out of that dish he had ordered too. They offered to make something else on the house, but at this point we were all almost done with our food so he ended up with nothing. They did try to make it right, I'll give them that, but it was a weird experience. We decided to give the restaurant one last try for my mom's birthday over the weekend and it solidified our opinions on this place. First of all, it's EXPENSIVE. I get it's Scottsdale but they are trying way too hard with $80 ribeyes and $1500 bottles of wine, but not giving you anything for it. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy an expensive meal when I feel it's warranted. The food, service, details need to go above and beyond to justify my $500+ tab. That's just not the case here. The server didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Didn't even offer a birthday dessert? We ordered salads before our meals and our entrees showed up two minutes later. My sister had her leftover pasta boxed up and they never brought it back. She asked about it and they said they could fire her a new one, but we were ready to go at this point. These are not issues you should be having at an upscale restaurant at this price point. After all this, we won't be returning. There are much better restaurants at lesser price points that offer amazing food with above and beyond experience. Everyone try Restaurant Progress instead!

If you are someone who doesn't mind this atmosphere, it's a great spot, but it is very challenging to hear when you're sitting across the table from someone and you've got other couples/ groups to the right and left of you. The wait staff were awesome and the service was great; we were not overly impressed with the food (no substitutions for certain items based on allergies so be aware). We had the bacon wrapped dates (good), Cesar salad (fresh but had a very tangy lemon flavor) and the beef bolognese ( we really wanted to like this, and the sauce that itself was good, but as the noodles were very al dente and more of a protein wheat based pasta flavor).
