If you're debating on what to eat, definitely stop here and get yourself some fresh and delicious Mediterranean food. I feel like the cooks here know what they're doing! The kitchen was clean and the food tasted very fresh and flavorful! Service was great also! read more

This food was really good but for me I have to be in the mood for Mediterranean food there is nothing wrong with the food I just have to be in the moon to eat a certain type of food but it was good. read more

Good representation of Greek/Mediterranean food. Several types of meat available, on or off the skewer. Gyros, wraps or plates with several side items. All good. read more

Was never much of a fan of Mediterranean food.. but recently we found a restaurant not to far from our house which was pretty good. My girl was out on a job interview in this area.. and after we were done we were pretty damn hungry. We yelped it (of course) and this place turned up on our list... "the green olive" sounds pretty tasty right? Well we definitely weren't disappointed. They even had a deal at the time for a free beverage with a check-in. We got one beef plate and one combination plate that had chicken and shrimp. These sauces that came with it.. (garlic and something else?) were good and overall it was a good meal. Food & service were A OK! :D read more

I love, love, love The Green Olive. I think they have some of the yummiest Mediterranean food. So when I needed catering for a family event, they're who I thought of. The ordering process was very simple - it was all via email. They responded very quickly and addressed all of my questions. I was concerned about whether the food would arrive hot (I live in Long Beach near Heartwell Park) and they assured me it would and IT DID! For a great price, we had chicken kabobs, rice, salad, pita bread and their amazing hummus. It was more than enough food and our family really enjoyed it. I highly recommend you stop into one of their locations for lunch and dinner and especially recommend them for catering! read more

Yummy Mediterranean food! Not too expensive either. Only complaint is that it gets pretty packed during lunch time and finding parking can really suck. read more

I'm from Vegas & we have some really good Mediterranean restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on a recent business trip to CA. read more

This is a place hidden inside an industrial area. Parking sucks but its in a easy enough place to walk to and well worth it. I'm surprised the food was as good as it was because of the quickness that it was given to me. The gyro platter was really good and the meat wasn't as dry as some other places serve it. The green spicy sauce hits the spot and the hummus was..eh ok. This is definitely a spot I would revisit when passing through the CPT. read more

Super healthy, home made Greek spot with sauces that are so yummy! Family who owns it is so awesome, lots of lunchtime regulars & down the street from Cal State Dominguez. Cool band at lunch. read more

This is a solid offering in the area. Have never been disappointed with the food. The salmon kabobs are probably my favorite. Even as leftovers they are still excellent. I've only ordered for pick up and maybe only once or twice had to wait longer than I wanted to. Overall, a spot we will return to regularly. read more

Love The food at the green olive. But I wanted to go to the hookah lounge. So I go last week. Its not there! Nothing on yelp saying it's closed down. Nothing til I get there and it's dark. Went in to The green olive to find out what happened. Sucks I thought yelp was to show you up todate info on places around town...smh read more

First time ordering from here everything was excellent even the service. I will definitely use this place again when I'm stuck in this area waiting to unload. The quality of the food was definitely what I expected read more

I love this place! The food is great and Yummy but a bit pricey and finding a place to park is suck. I won't go there on lunch time as you will never find parking. read more

My son wanted to experience Mediterranean cuisine for his birthday, and somewhere local. It was ok. Came in the evening around 7:30pm, the food came out quickly, The lamb was good. Rice was very al dente, the rest of the food was ok. I had heard good things about the resturant, maybe I'll try a different location. read more

Love the gyros along with the seasoned potatoes. Great prices too. On the weekends it's pretty much open but during the week can get crowded, being in an industrial area,. Small parking lot shared with about 4 other businesses. Real gyros cut off the electric spit. Come out, it's good food! read more

Doesn't look like much when you walk past it but i was practically dying of hunger so i popped in. The definition of hole-in-the-wall. I got the cesar salad with a chicken skewer. A classic salad done right and can't complain about the chicken skewer. Would highly recommend to anyone. read more

This place is amazing. Excellent food, and excellent customer service. I come here once or twice every week. I get the number 3. Definitely recommend to anyone. Bomb food. read more

great food! This is a must try mediterranean spot. I've tried most things on the menus but my favorites are the gyro and chicken kabob. The chicken is so moist and tender. The green sauce is also so delicious! I have to get several containers every time I go! read more

When work is ordering in lunch, this is typically where we order. The person taking our order is usually quite friendly, and the delivery driver is usually on time, even early sometimes. Food portions are large and everything is fresh. Their hummus is really good. Get the combo plates such as the kebabs, you get salad + rice + hummus plus your 2 kebabs! Good value for the money. They also have this green sauce that is really good, delivered on the side with some pita bread. read more

Not sure why but I was happy to find such a place in Compton while visiting a friend from my home state. I ordered the falafel pita topped lettuce, tomato with a side of mint and garlic sauce served with potatoes. Nothing spectacular but it did the job. The falafel was standard the pita was a little chewy. The potatoes were ok just not crisp. All of my friends really seemed to enjoy their chicken kabobs. read more

Great food, great pricing! Hookah lounge is really nice and the staff went over and above to make us comfortable. The owner invited us back for belly dancing! Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Great food, big portion sizes. Love how the menu is a choice of like 13 items, all on big boards with photos above the counter where you order. Makes it easy. The tsatsiki sauce could be better, but the food tastes great. read more

The food was great except for the stuffed grape leaves wasn't a fan of them lol. This place is better if you come during the day. I came around 9:30 and it looked sketchy because it was in an industrial area no cars in the parking lot and no one around. But overall there service and food were great. read more

I love love love the green olive. I usually get the chicken & gyro combo. Its delicious and their servings are big. I cannot finish it on my own. And sometimes, whatever I don't finish, I just have for lunch the next day! You can also call in your order if you're in a rush and just pick it up. When I brought my mom there to try it, they asked if it was our first time. My mom said it was hers, so the man explained which sauce goes with which food. I thought that was nice. Will continue to come back! read more

I've only tried the chicken kabob wrap & falafel wrap. Both really good. On top of that they've made my food real fast even during my lunch hour read more

Good food, kool service, nice price.. I appreciate having a better choice for food in the after hours instead of your typical buger joint.

Did not expect a nice and affordable place in Compton, but the Green Olive takes the prize for good value. The food was delicious and the portion was generous. Will come back if I am ever in the neighborhood again. read more

This place was better than expected. The food was delicious and flavorful. I like the way they have all the dishes displayed in the menu. They close at midnight which works out great for my schedule but what really impressed me was that I got a side of pita bread and 3 sauces with my order. Yea that's right 3 sauces not just 1! read more

I love this place. I usually end up here at least once a week. For a quick meal, I end up getting the pita sandwiches with a side of half salad and half potatoes. The potatoes are fried and tossed in a green sauce that they give you on the side with every order. When I am a bit more hungry, i settle for one of the plates which include rice, pita bread, and a side of salad. The kabobs are delicious, especially the chicken and beef. read more
