I got the kunafa, beef boraq, and chicken and filet mignon kabob platter. Everything was good. Kunafa was sweet, more sweet if you microwaved it so it's warm but when cooled down, less sweet. The sweetness was a good amount, not too rich. Never had Lebanese pastry before so this was a great first experience. Came here after being recommended for their Mediterranean food, and overall it was a solid experience. The filet mignon wrap was the star of the meal--super flavorful and cooked just right. Definitely something I'd come back for. I also tried the chicken kebab, which was a bit on the dry side, and the baklava didn't really hit for me--it tasted pretty dry and not as fresh as I'd hoped. The beef kebab was also a letdown. Instead of having the fresh, well-balanced flavors I expect from Mediterranean cuisine, it tasted overwhelmingly like chorizo, which was unexpected and not at all representative of the dish I ordered. To make matters worse, the rice was served cold, making it seem like it had not been freshly prepared or properly reheated. Overall, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. I came here with some of my best girlfriends and immediately we were greeted by the warm staff. (we chose to eat in their outdoor seating area) The manager Yovanni was extremely hands on. So you know this place is going to be good We came at an odd hour and it wasn't too crowded. So we got to talk to Evelin. There's only been a few times where I was completely blown away by the customer service, and this was one of them. They treat you like family. We ordered our food and the manager came out and suggested we pull another table up to ours to make more room. And then we saw why lol. There was so much food coming out. Our server, Evelin and manager Yovanni just kept coming in and out of the kitchen with a never ending supply of food (they even brought out tons of sauces and fresh warm pita for us) For drinks they have soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, a selection of beer and wine. We went for dinner the other night. You will find ample parking available. The restaurant itself is small yet charming. We got several side orders to start. The kibbi is a blend of filet mignon with spices and stuffed into wheat balls. They are then flash fried and served with a tzatziki sauce. Think of it like a crispy meatball. So delicious. We also got the Mediterranean style potatoes. They take sliced potatoes, fry them and then top them with feta cheese, oregano and extra virgin olive oil. The feta cheese elevates this to another level. So simple and so delicious delicious. For our mains we got the lamb chop platter and the whole chicken platter. You get 4 lamb chops marinated in virgin olive oil and spices. They are grilled to order. You also get rice pilaf, sautéed mushrooms and a fattouche salad. Such a high quality dish in a casual dining restaurant. The whole chicken platter does take a half hour to make but it is so worth it. The chicken soaks for 24 hours in a Mediterranean lemon-garlic marinade. It is then grilled and served with rice pilaf, hummus and a fresh green salad. Such a filling meal. For dessert we got the rice pudding and the baklava. Easily one of the better rice puddings. The baklava is by far the best version I have ever had. So light and flaky and so nice and sweet. My fave Mediterranean place - i love rhe salmon kabob plate here. Salmon super tender thats been seared perfectly. The green sauce is amazing. Rice is soft snd flavorful. Hummus creamy and yummy. The falafel with garlic sauce was also really good, and the roasted onion, tomato, and jalapeño kept things simple but worked really well together. The steak and shrimp kebab plate was probably the most filling option and definitely worth it if you're hungry. We also tried the lentil soup, which was warm and comforting, and finished with rice pudding and baklava for dessert -- both were a great way to end the meal. Tried Green Olive in Downey and everything was so fresh and flavorful! We got the Green Olive entrée with beef, chicken, kafta kebab, falafel, and dolma -- all perfectly grilled and seasoned. The spicy potatoes were a standout -- thin, crispy, and packed with flavor We also loved the hummus, baba ghannouj, spinach boraq, and ended with a delicious cheesy kunafa. I ordered pickup from Green Olive and had the Filet Mignon Beef Kebabs along with the Green Olive platter -- everything was delicious! I enjoyed every bite of the filet mignon; the meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the combo plate so he could try a little bit of everything, and his favorite was also the filet mignon. The service was good, and even though the restaurant is a little small, it's always packed, which says a lot about the food quality. Stopped in for lunch with several coworkers and had a good first experience. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Indoor and front patio dining areas available. Large private parking lot in major shopping center. My coworkers and I eat Mediterranean quite often and this place was very good. We each ordered an entrée and a couple other items to share: Falafel Balls ($1.49 ea.), Kibbi (stuffed meat ball) ($2.99 ea.), Lentil Soup ($7.99), Chicken & Filet Mignon Kabob Combo Platter ($19.99), and a few others.
