Crab Rangoons with 0 crabs

Large crab Rangoon for $13.95. Filled only with cream cheese. Every single one. Only cream cheese.

I got to the hotel late so decided to order in. One of the worst food that I have ever had. First time I did Uber eats. I should have read the reviews first. Food was as unappetizing as it looked. The food ended up in the trash. It was basically inedible. Their Shrimp Fried rice had 5 little frozen shrimps on there. Egg Foo Yung looked like it was pigs food and the chicken wings were bland.

I have absolutely NOTHING to rave about in this place. My girl calls in an order for pick up she tells the guy she wants to order General Gaus chicken. The guy proceeds to ask her for the combo or a separate order She proceeds to say the combo (Now anyone who's ever ordered from here knows pork fried rice is a substitute not part of the combo order) So that's an extra 2.50 on top of the price for the plate The special Order combo comes with pork fried rice but you can pick 2 or 3 sides. Basically what i'm saying is guys. Know the menu because they don't care they just want to take your money. Look at my chicken y'all. It doesn't have Pepper in it. The chicken is super light and you guys put fucking PINEAPPLES in the plate Why would you do that?!? Never again.

Was my family's go-2 for decades. Every Friday for about 25 years we would order take out often on Friday/Saturday or after a trip. Covid happened and we stopped ordering out so much. Today I really had a taste for it so I eagerly ordered our usual... and I'm so disappointed. The Peking ravioli is burnt - only taste it had. Rice is bland, ribs are white. So disappointed. Hope they get it back quickly.

Pu Pu Platter

pupu platter - $14.95 roasted pork lo mein - $9.95 my happiness from eating crunchy crab rangoon AND a perfectly seasoned, tender chicken wing - priceless The place is a bit bare and it's definitely geared towards takeout but you're not sitting down here for a nice date. You're here for some good, savory Chinese-American food that you can take home and munch on after a long day. Can be a bit greasy but overall, better than average!

Went here despite the reviews since I just moved to the area and was looking for my new local go to chinese take out place. This place is amazing, super quick, kitchen and establishment was super clean and the food was very good. Got the scallion pancakes, crab rangoon and garlic noodles.... so delicious!!!!

My crab ragoon did not have any crab in it at all, it was just cream cheese. My order was ready in 10 minutes which was convenient.

Great food here always!…read more We decided to eat here after line dancing at the Boston Common. We ordered mapo tofu and the kung pao chicken with rice. Both yummy and delicious. A bit spicy but so good couldn't stop eating! We were so full! Service was friendly and food came out fairly quickly. Place was crowded lots of people which is always a good sign. This is a beautiful restaurant, very elegant decor. Overall great experience!

We ordered the pork xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), the shengjianbao (pan-fried pork buns), honey walnut shrimp, the stir-fried sliced beef, the water spinach w/ fermented bean sauce, and the stir-fried lotus roots. The beef, shrimp, water spinach, and XLBs were the high points. The beef was cooked in a slightly numbing sauce. The shrimp was perfectly crispy and doused in the signature sweet sauce. We didn't prefer the shengjiangbao, because the filling was a bit dry rather than juicy. The lotus roots were also pretty lightly seasoned - we had expected some more flavor. This is a solid Chinese spot in Boston! I think there are a ton of classic dishes done well. The service was a bit slow to me (it took about 30 min to get our first appetizers and we had to prompt for the check). It didn't wow me overall, but it was tasty.

A welcomed addition to the neighborhood bringing authentic flavors with an elegant ambiance and kind service. The signature swing pork belly with cucumber is great with an addicting sauce. The grilled beef ribs were a great entree and cut tableside, which was a nice showstopper and came with bao and cucumbers/scallions as if it was peking duck being served. The eggplant dish and string beans are excellent vegetable entrees/sides and pair perfectly with their fluffy white rice. Mapo tofu and the fish soup were fine. One thing of note compared to other Sichuan restaurants in the area, I find Mountain House's food to be much cleaner (for a lack of a better word) and prominently less oily, which I can always appreciate. For some this might mean less flavor, which I could slightly agree to, as I think I do prefer other Sichuan restaurants a bit more, but Mountain House is still a fantastic option

This is the closest I've had to modern Chinese cuisine in Boston so far. Swing Pork Belly 晾衣白肉: My first time trying Lizhuang pork belly, I'd heard so much about it! The pork belly was sliced very thinly, chilled to perfection, and served with refreshing cucumber slices--not greasy at all. The minced fresh garlic was a bit too spicy for me, but the chili oil was very fragrant, making it very flavorful overall. Yibin Style Ran Noodles 宜賓燃麵: Another first time trying this, how could noodles be so delicious... The alkaline noodles were thin and firm, with a great texture; the flavor was oily, savory, and slightly spicy, with a delightful sweet aftertaste--fragrant but not greasy. The cucumber shreds added to the overall refreshing taste. Green Pepper Mao Xue Wang 青一色毛血旺: My first time trying Maoxuewang with green peppers, and it was surprisingly fresh and clean, with a medicinal aroma. The spiciness was only mild, and it wasn't oily at all. The ingredients were good: the pig's blood and konjac were smooth and chewy, the pork aorta was crisp and springy, the celtuce were crisp, and the eel shreds were chewy and crunchy--a very rich selection. Spicy Frog Lover 舌尖上的蛙跳: Relatively average. It had the classic Sichuan boiling flavor, but the broth was almost like it had been thickened with cornstarch; the frog meat was a bit firm, not tender; and the pickled vegetables were too acidic.

Modern and elegant vibe inside with kind staff willing to explain the menu in detail. The first time I went here years ago, I was a bit disappointed. The menu is more so small plates/tapas style. My parents and I came for lunch and found the food to be extremely salty and although it was Asian fusion, I thought that the Asian flavors were quite lackluster. I gave it another try a couple of years back with a friend for dinner service and found the food to better this time around. We shared their eggplant, salmon rolls, lemon shrimp dumplings, and tuna two ways. Eggplant was plump and I believe had some Thai basil or other aromatic stirfried into it which I appreciated. Salmon rolls were fun and I appreciated the sauce. Lemon shrimp dumplings were oily but packed with flavor and I also liked the creamy tangy sauce that came with it. Tuna two ways was the favorite; big fan of crispy rice at sushi restaurants so if that's your jam you'd like this.

Don't skip the dessert!! Cocktail was insane as well, had the bloodlust which had a nice spicy kick to it. Coming back soon for more. Service was quick and they gave us a birthday cake on the house for friend's bday!

I tried the stir fried rice cake that everyone was raving about, and it's good, but it's not unlike something that i've had before. The rice cake is chewy, there was nothing amiss with the dish, but it just seems like a normal rice cake stir fried with egg/tomato. I also tried the Dali fried mushroom and I really enjoyed the seasoning, but it is a little dry if that's not your style. It's similar to a mushroom jerky. The yongpi braised chicken was flavored well, but I felt that some pieces were a little dry. The small pieces were overcooked. Lastly, there was also a beef w/ stir fried noodles which was fine but just a pretty standard stir fried noodles with beef. They were very quick with preparing the food for takeout, and everything was well packaged! I'd be interested in trying some of their other dishes since I feel that Yunnan cuisine is not common and there are plenty of other options I'd be interested in.

Service is good. Attentive and friendly. Nothing really much to say about them. But the food. Always every dish that comes out it's either too salty, or plain, or just horrible. Especially that fried mushroom. It tastes like it's from a bag or something. Tried one piece and done. Fried tofu dish. Too much soy bean paste sauce. Tastes way too salty! Ground pork with Tomatoe sauce. There is weird taste and hardly and meat. Lemon shredded chicken got some bad aftertaste. Like they didn't marinate or seasoning the chicken enough. Prolly my fav was the rice and tomato beef brisket. A little plain but that is prolly the dish I ate the most because I was hungry. And the dessert coconut toast... tasted like watered down coconut and 3 piece of fried bread cutted. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place if they don't step up their game! Just mostly bad. Bad enough I have to write this lengthy review.

The seasoning was only slightly sweet, perfectly complementing the freshness of the meat. These were the best Xiaolongbao I've had in the US, although the skin was a bit soggy and unappetizing. Pork & Leeks Dumpling: My friend ordered these, opting for pan-fried dumplings. They were piping hot, incredibly fragrant, and the meat filling was tender. The chive flavor was mild, which is perfect since I don't like chives lol. A touch of vinegar was definitely needed to cut through the richness! Sliced Fish Szechuan Style: Calling them "sliced fish" is a bit of a stretch; "fish fillets" would be more accurate. They were probably made with basa fish, and the fish was incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth. The broth was fragrant, and the numbing and spicy flavor was authentic, earning high praise from my friend from Sichuan. Lamb with Ginger & Scallions Onion: A perfectly good Beijing dish, but it was prepared with the feel of a Cantonese stir-fry, which suited my Cantonese palate perfectly. The lamb was incredibly tender, with no gamey taste, and stir-fried until the oil was visible but the sauce wasn't thickened. The sweetness of the onions and carrots added to the complex flavor. Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin: Just average, like a typical Shanghai style home-cooked meal. Nothing special to say. General Gao's Tofu 左宗豆腐: My first time trying the famous "General Tso" (I don't know why they call it General Gao) series of American Chinese cuisine. It felt similar to the technique used in Shanghainese "Kung Pao宮保." A slightly sweet and sour flavor with the aroma and mild spiciness of dried chili peppers, the ingredients were deep-fried and coated in a thick sauce. The tofu was overcooked, the edges were hard, and the sauce became a bit watery towards the end. This dish was just okay.
