Amazing food. Dry pot beef is a must. I also like the diced chicken with peppers. It has been a blast whenever I visit it. Lunch special gives you rice, meat and soup which is super cheap.

Yummy food!

Really really great food! Great experience! Went here for the first time yesterday as we were visiting a friend who lives in the area and he highly recommended this restaurant. We were very pleased with our choice! They were full when we got there but it was only a 5 minute wait - we looked at the menu meanwhile. I like that they have this huge picture menu too so you can see what the dishes look like. There was the customary hot green tea which was nice. We ordered our usual favorites- kung pao chicken and ma po tofu (without pork). Both were delicious. Chicken was tender and flavorful- a bit sweet for me but still good. Tofu was soft and the sauce was very savory and tasty. We also ordered the black pepper fish fillet - we had to ask which fish dishes were not deep fried - the server pointed those out so that was very helpful. Came with veggies. The tofu and fish dishes were a bit spicy but not overly so. Just right. The pan fried chicken dumplings were great too. Those came out the last because they take some time to make. We got 3 white rice too. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our meal and couldn't stop eating - everything was so fresh, yummy and filling. Lots of food. We had leftovers to take home. The space itself is bright and cheery. It was crowded which is always a good sign. Service was efficient. Parking was easy just down the street, free street parking. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

Food is pretty decent. Sometime it can be a hit or miss but I feel like that's all restaurants. Try to go on a week day cause weekends be hella packed in there.

first time here. staffs are attentive and ambiance is just ok. for foods... 1. sweet corn with salty egg yolks: so crunchy and when they cook, not stick between each corn kernel. taste great!!! and i will say absolutely recommended dish 2. beef in black pepper sauce: if you do not like spicy, do not order this cause can make numb for your tongue. i will say fish will be more suitable for this but i did not order fish because afraid too big and could not finish it will say a recommended taipei restaurant!!!

Small restaurant packed with people and flavor. It's a hidden gem in North Quincy. The soup dumplings were perfect and everything was a party in our mouths. Seriously a must go to spot on every visit now.

Another visit, for a family bday! Our usual wait staff on hand always super friendly. Food came out quick and hot. We got our usual dishes plus tried some of the live fish (market price) hot and sour style broth. Cooked crispy fish fillet with sweet sour sauce on side! Dry pot beef Beef and shredded longhorn pepper (not too spicy this time but depends on the season) Crispy pig intestines appetizer Beef and peppers scallion rolls Soup dumplings Seafood stir fry noodz General gaus chicken Always good, lunch menu time even better but that's alright!

I came here for lunch right around 11 AM when they opened. The place is clean and fairly spacious. I was seated right away. Service was fast and they serve tea once seated (I love that). For food I got: Beef rib dry pot--Very so slightly numbing in spice, so good and addicting. It's not spicy to the point where you cannot eat it nor does the spices build. The short ribs were thin like kalbi. There were tons of potatoes. I do wish instead of just potatoes they would have veggies like cabbage or something else. I do recommend this. Next time I'll have to try other dry pots. Cabbage dry pot--They use Chinese cabbage which is surprisingly better than expected cause it is slightly sweet unlike Napa cabbage. The flavor is sweet and slightly numbing. Definitely a must order if you want a veggie dish. Fatty Beef Noodle in Sour Soup-- If you like hot and sour soup this is very similar. I do think it is a bit too sour (too much vinegar). This may be bias opinion since I normally do not like hot and sour soup, but my bf who does also thought it was a bit too sour. I was not a fan of this dish, and will not be ordering again.

Great place to go for some Sichuan/Szechuan food! It's my go-to for convenience and it always gets the job done. It can be hit or miss, in my opinion, nowadays. Sometimes it really hits the spot & some days it's not as good, is what I've noticed. Spice level is also not as high as it used to be either. Most dishes that are "spicy" are pretty mild. I think it is also important to note that this is not what Taiwanese cuisine really is... more so Sichuan food. Taiwanese food tends to have more milder flavors, sweet rather than spicy. I like getting their beef scallion pancake rolls, seafood stir fried noodles, hot & sour fish, dry pot beef & eggplant w/ basil. They offer a great lunch special, one dish for ~$11 and 3 dishes for ~$30. Comes with rice & soup. I recommend this place if you're looking for try something new & enjoy spicy mala food. Lunch special is seriously a deal that cannot be beat. Parking: Good amount of parking on Billings Rd where it's located & there's also free parking lot across the street.

Vinegar shredded potatoes , rice, chicken soup.

Very authentic in taste. Very cheap. Only 11 dollars for lunch. I wish there can be more variety in the dishes we choose rather than be confined to one dish. I ordered vinegar shredded potatoes with rice and chicken soup. The meal came out in less than 5 min.

N7 Pork Chop Noodle Soup

Got the pork chop noodle soup! Pork chop was nice and crispy, soup felt really "clean" ( no oil.... ). Plenty of noodle for a satisfying dish!

Though I tend to visit this spot during the dinner rush, they've got some yummy dishes on their extensive menu - plus, food usually comes out fresh from the kitchen pretty quickly, despite how busy this restaurant can be! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Quincy, with their snug little ambiance - which frankly makes it easier to go family-style with their dishes, in my honest opinion. Anyway, food-wise, I'd probably say that I enjoy their dry pot dishes the most - with plenty of the flavors of what's being cooked simply seeping into the crisp potatoes and savory veggies. If anything, I'd definitely recommend trying out their dry pot, not only for its lovely tastes but also for its cute lil display. Would come back for more

If you're craving Taiwanese in the South Shore, this is the place to go! I have been here three times in the last six weeks and love introducing friends to this restaurant - Currently the Duchess :) They have lunch specials every day of the week which is a nice treat because you can try variety and not break the bank! The restaurant is clean with quick service and varied seating options to accommodate small and larger groups. Every dish that I've had here is yummmmmmmy! Their roast beef in scallion pancake is always a crowd favorite. The crispness on the scallion pancake and ratio of beef and sauce makes this dish. I'm also a big fan of their dry cooked string beans with minced pork. Taipei cuisine is one of the few restaurants that get this dish perfect every time.

It's been tough trying to find an authentic Taiwanese restaurant in the Greater Boston and so I'm very glad I found this spot! Definitely my go-to for Taiwanese food. They have quick service, and food comes out fresh and quick. Everything had great flavoring like I would expect, and was given lots of food. A small hole in the wall, but feels like a comforting, homey spot to come to for a sit down meal. A few favorites: - Stir-fried Rice Cake with Preserved Veggie and Shredded Pork - Oyster pancake

Totally incongruous with the surrounding environment. Walked in... nothing fancy. Maybe 5 tables. The food was just not good. I had the big wonton soup ( the one with all the extras ). The broth was very bland. The wontons were the nice thin wrappers, but the filling tasted "off". And there was enough noodles in the bowl to make it difficult to eat. I ate a few bites and left the rest. I also ordered the boneless spare ribs. They had a nice cook to them. Nice color. Nice charing. But... just not flavorful, and dry. Very dry. Ground Pork W.preserved Vegetables Clay Pot Rice梅菜肉餅煲仔飯: The English translation is already a bit misleading. This dish should be pork patty with preserved mustard greens, but what was served didn't match either component. First, this was not meicai梅菜(preserved mustard greens). Proper meicai should be dark brown and fibrous even after soaking, whereas this consisted of pale yellow granules, both in appearance and taste much closer to dongcai冬菜 (preserved Chinese cabbages). While dongcai can appear in some clay pot rice dishes, this was clearly not what it should be. Second, this was not a pork patty. The meat was simply loose minced pork scattered on top of the rice, without any mixing or shaping. As a result, it lacked the cohesion, tenderness, and springy texture that define a proper pork patty. There was even a slight sour note, which felt off. Third, the "claypot sauce" was surprisingly slightly viscous, like Singaporean dark soy sauce, and had a strong ginger flavor. I also tried the rice roll sauce; it had a normal soy sauce texture, but the ginger flavor was still very strong, meaning it was still not authentic. Given the stated Taishan background, the lack of traditional structure and technique in this clay pot rice was quite surprising. Compared to Clay Pot Cafe in Boston Chinatown, which offers a way more authentic execution, the difference becomes even more apparent. That said, to be fair, the rice itself was decent: grains were distinct, and there was a noticeable wok aroma. Milk Tea: The old menu called it "Hong Kong style milk tea," while the new menu simply said "milk tea," which seems more accurate. It was bitter at first, then intensely sweet, not fragrant at all--very weird. As someone who grew up in Guangdong, it's honestly frustrating to see it reduced to something so off. If you're looking for an authentic Cantonese clay pot rice experience, this would likely be a disappointing stop.

I started with chicken wings assuming they'd be actual chicken wings in line with say, Chinese restaurants. Instead, I got the cheap breaded, seemingly frozen, garbage sold at a dime a dozen pizza/sub places. They are low quality nonsense...and $11. Hilarious. I also got the rib eye beef and enoki ramen noodles. Listen, there is roughly 5lbs of it. 3 adults can share it. But Quincy has endless options for authentic Asian food and that's what we want--quality over quantity, Asian food with fresh, quality ingredients. See the pictures. It is a mound of overcooked mush with extremely/borderline inedible fatty meat and equally mushy enoki mushrooms hidden here and there. When I know for a fact that I could cook a stir fry ramen that is ten times better than what I just paid $20 for, there is zero reason to return to your restaurant, and I won't.
