Came on a Friday for lunch and was overall satisfied with the food and service! There was no wait and the food was served very quickly. I got the golden hot and sour rice noodles with pork chops. It didn't come with the sides in trays like it showed in the menu but I prefer it this way. I do wish the pork chops were served on the side as they were fried and soggy in the soup. I appreciated that they asked what spice level I wanted. My partner got the pickled pepper rice noodles with fish and that was good. Definitely plan to come back!
I always order the S6 mango sago drink and it's always YUM! I usually get the fish fillet, tomato soup base broth. It's always good local noodle soup in a hearty bowl. The space has limited seating but it's cute. The employees are attentive and quick with your food. I usually get the popcorn chicken, the roast bun with condensed milk and the chicken wings! Last time we were there some idiots robbed them of their tip jar wasn't sure what was going on but felt bad it happened, they are super nice people. Ironically his friends stayed and ordered food. Anyways will be back regularly!
Great place for noodles! If you like mangoes, I recommend getting F6. Sago and Pomelo mango smoothie. I have to get it every time I come because it's SO GOOD! (sometimes I get two in one sitting because it is so good!) My go-to is the mala fish noodles. They make it quite spicy so be aware that their max spicy level is extremely spicy. The parking can be tricky depending on the time of day you go. Sometimes you are able to luck out with street parking or have to spin the block a couple times but Shi Miao Dao is well worth it to give it a visit!
My favorite neighborhood yunnan rice noodle spot! I love eating here whether it is at the restaurant or ordering Ubereats. The broths are flavorful and noodle texture is always consistent. My favorite broths are the green pepper fish filet and the one with pickled cabbage. I do prefer my broths to have that mala and sour flavor so it is right up my alley! We tried several of their appetizers and really loved the popcorn chicken. Definitely recommend ordering these
Waitress was super friendly and helped us out with ordering since it was our first time. She also came several times to check up on us. We ended up trying the sweet and spicy wings, cold milk tea with boba, golden hot and sour (medium spicy) offal beef noodle soup and my husband got the original flavor beef brisket noodle soup. Perfect noodle soups that came out piping hot for a cold day or night. As for broth, we preferred the golden hot and sour beef offal noodle soup more. It was very flavorful, not too spicy. Both our noodle soups come with the standard sides: cabbage, lettuce, corn, quail egg, black fungus, white fungus, chives, bean sprouts, tofu, ham that were placed already inside our bowls for us. I believe all the noodle soups comes with these same standard sides. The sides provided good texture when eaten together with the soft noodles. The golden hot and sour beef offal noodle soup also came with lots of beef tripe, tendon and sadly only one piece of beef but overall, it still got my belly full. I would order this one again. My husbands original flavor beef brisket noodle soup came with lots of beef brisket on top of the standard sides. Would definitely come back to try their other noodle soups!
The restaurant is primarily known for their variety of rice noodle soups. While i enjoyed the food here, i felt that the food and experience here fell short of DAGU Rice Noodle which is only a couple minutes drive away and with similar items on their menu. The noodle soups that i had here were much saltier than Dagu but not as flavorful and aromatic. At Dagu, i wanted to keep drinking the soup but not so much here. Service was also a bit slow and the food took a while to come out. Parking: Easy street parking on same street as restaurant and side streets. Do not attempt to park at the mini parking lot behind the building of the restaurant. Your car will get towed (the parking is not for the restaurant).
Food was amazing, highly recommend the golden hot and sour soup. Can't wait to return and try the other soup bases!
Delicious soup with lots of toppings!! The chicken was soooo tender and they were super generous with the mushrooms (shittake, enoki, seafood mushroom). I will definitely come back, I want to try their chicken fish maw soup next!

The toppings were abundant with many different types of veggies & mushrooms. The broth is just so silky smooth and layered with so many flavors. So comforting and filling and hearty without being too heavy. Just liquid gold. The noodles were perfectly cooked and there was a lot of it that I ended up packing up the rest to make another meal, well worth the deal! OVERVIEW: (5/5) - One of my favorite hidden gems. Perfect for a cold day! Pot is extra hot to put the noodles and all the little plates in within 10 seconds. It's quite an experience and the soup warms the soul. It is a tad lacking flavor, but the soup is pretty clean and comforting for the noodles. The beef brisket was a really good addition for the noodle. As appetizer, tried the cold beef with garlic sauce and it was a great way to enhance the flavors for the meal. PS. Look up the story for The legend of "Crossing the Bridge Noodles"
The soup noodle bowls here are quite delicious, and I love how they serve their dishes in clay pots which preserve the flavor and heat well. The Beef Brisket broth is flavorful and hearty- the fresh noodles and veggies that absorb the broth make it a filling meal. The Green Pepper broth is also delicious (a little on the spicier side) but equally satisfying. The takoyaki and shumai appetizers are alright, pretty sure the shumai are frozen and then fried. The drinks are also okay. The pineapple passionfruit tea tasted kind of watered down and the passionfruit seeds were bothersome. Other than those few downsides, the meals here are amazing and affordable. The server was also very helpful and the food came out fast. A happy customer here :)
This is no Michelin star restaurant but I can see it becoming a local staple for me. The noodle soups were delicious and had such a clean tasting broth it blew me away! Add in the noodles, fish, beef, quail eggs and myriad other toppings and you got heaven. The appetizers were frozen which is why I had to dock a star but it was delicious regardless. I recommend the mango coconut drink. It's refreshing with a gentle sweetness that goes really well with the meal. The passionfruit pineapple is nice as well. The lady that took our order was extremely energetic and quick with her service. I have no complaints here.

First time with my family and a very Special person that treated us to dinner here tonight! A quaint spot in Wollaston Section almost directly across from the Wollaston MBTA Station. We all ordered several dishes and shared this very tasty meal together! I have taken many photos, so take a look and see for yourself what we ordered! The staff was very accommodating by pushing tables together and friendly toward us all! I was impressed how the food was presented and definitely how it tasted! We had dishes that were spicy and dishes that were not! Then they ordered couple of side dishes which I tried them all and totally enjoyed every bite! It was obvious that everyone enjoyed their choice of entree and what was left was packed to go! I will have to try this spot again but maybe during the daytime. So you know the soups with noodles were the most tasty in its broth, one in a tomato style! For a modest restaurant it really made some wonderful dishes to please all our palettes! Let me tell you a story about this famous Yunnan dish, guoqiao mixian or "Crossing the Bridge Noodles." There was a beautiful lake on a small island where many scholars went to study because of its tranquil and pleasant atmosphere. Among these scholars was a student who spent many days studying on that island. Every day, his wife would walk this long bridge to cross this lake to deliver him his fav food, rice noodles. What a keeper! But, because this damn bridge was so long.. by the time she got there, the food was cold. What to do, what to do? But, because this wife was so clever, she got an idea! In order to keep the food warm, she packed the ingredients separately and only combined them when ready to eat. And it worked! Eventually, the scholar succeeded in passing the imperial exams. This method is still used today!! Sorry for butchering this amazing story into a not so exciting one. Anyways, the food were amazing. I first had it in Toronto, and it was amazing then. It is amazing now, here in Quincy. The place sits 12 people. The price range is amazing too. Try this dish, and maybe it'll help you pass that next exam too! read more
This boba is my new favorite in the Boston area.. the milk tea flavor, the boba composition, I have never had such good bubble tea in MA. I am amazed!!! and can't wait to come back!! On top of that, the servers/workers are so so nice, excellent customer service and the food was all great. I hadn't heard of this place before but I am glad we came. Wonderful experience. read more
My go to place for soup on a cold day. No parking on the strip in front of the restaurant so I usually park on one of the side streets and walk like a block over. It is also conveniently located across from the wallaston station if you are taking public transportation. Soup is flavorful and delicious. Drinks are reasonably priced here by today's standard. I usually go for the hot and sour or mala but can't go wrong with either. On weekdays there is usually no wait in the evening. Weekends can get crowded. The place is tiny so you will be sitting really close to other people. Not a fan of the cold appetizers here. I usually go for the soup and one of their many drink selections. read more
So after Dagu, I ventured into this place tonight around 9:03 ish( they closed at 9:30) and they took me. The place is pretty small that can fit around 10-12 customers. Ok I don't want to compare it to Dagu, but they sell similar food, so it's hard not to compare the two. Anyway even though they are small but I still like the quiet vibe that is different from Dagu (Dagu has loud music and this place the music is lower which is not that bad) I got the original rice noodle soup with beef slice. The soup was ok but the beef slice... can I just say it's not that fresh, you can taste the stinky smell. (I know cuz some buffet places also use those kind of meat but this is not a buffet) you can tell it's the cheap kind of beef slice. I also ordered fried chicken wings. The wing was ok, maybe because I had BBQ Chicken a few times that my mouth becomes pretty hard to satisfy. None the less, I just notice that the garnish leafs had turned brown in many places including the root(the photo only shows the leaf part) I mean it's just a garnish no biggy. Some ppl care, some don't I'm just pointing it out. Now that being said, after the beef slice and the garnish incident and everything else that happened. It just make me feel like the place is not that high quality even though the appearance looks pretty good. However the staff was nice in a way. Overall this place have potential and I want to love this place and it's a lovable place, but you know... anyway I may come back to this place again and give it another chance later. read more

Dishes ordered - sweet and sour tomato flavor rice noodle soup with lamb * - original flavor rice noodle soup with beef - salted cruces chicken * - takoyaki - fried chicken wings - scallion pancake ( very crispy) - sago and pomelo mango smoothie * * really enjoyed Pros - great service: we had a large group and they were able to accommodate us and even gave a chicken Wing appetizer on the house! - appetizers were great - the noodle soup is loaded with protein. (Got the lamb but also came with ham, tofu, quail egg. - soup is tasty and was warming to the soul. Cons - only wish there was one closer to where I live. Recommendations - the salted cruces chicken appetizer was bomb (salty) but good. - Had a sip of the Golden hot and sour flavor soup and it was my favorite tasting soup base. My partner and I came here on a week day for dinner and got seated right away. The staff was fast and the restaurant was clean. We both ordered the noodle trays and on the menu it looked like all the sides would be on small plates but that's not what we got. We just got everything dumped into a bowl and that's fine if they put in effort to make it look nice? It just feels like false marketing in that sense...The food was alright. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad. The soup broths were really lacking and the noodles taste like store bought ones. read more
Wasn't impressed - had high expectation based on the reviews, but it felt just average. Tried the golden hot sour and the tomato pots - the soup bases didn't taste anything special than from hot pot sauce packages; the rice noodle itself was kinda whatever, none of the chewy/toughnesss feeling to it, just like noodles. read more

One of the best places for noodle soup in the South Shore area! I've been in the restaurant and also gotten delivery. Both experiences have been equally delightful! The place is relatively small with about 5 small tables, so avoid lunch and dinner hours as they do fill up quickly. The people there are incredibly nice and always checking in to see if you need anything else. The soup is very flavorful and noodles have a perfect texture. Proportion is very food for the price they charge. I also find their take-out boxes incredibly smart: it's one box but theres a separate container inside for the noodles to keep it warm but prevent it from getting soggy or too dry). I would definitely recommend trying this place to curb your next noodles craving! read more

Out of all of the hunan rice noodles restaurants in the area, this place is my favorite. Their broth by far is the most flavorful. We ordered the fish maw chicken noodle soup and the original broth and they are both rich, and super tasty. The staff are very friendly and we love chatting with them. The place is not too big but it is comfortable. Highly recommended! Besides of wide range of noodles and apps (love the century year old eggs by the way), they also have bubble tea as well! read more

It's been quite some time that I dine in here. They added at least $1 or more on most of the items on the menu. I ordered the original and kimchi beef rice noodle. Definitely recommended dining in. They are served on the clay pot and it is really hot, the soup is still boiling when serving to your table. This place had nice packing for take-out but it would be boiling served but still good. I will come back again if I am craving rice noodle. read more

5 stars for flavors. Wow. The broth was hearty and rich, the homemade noodles were one of the best I've had, and believe me, I've tried quite a few noodle shops. The flavors were subtle but authentic and comforting. I ordered the original pork rice noodles, filled with bean sprouts, pork slices, tripe and leaves, and I relished every last slurp of it. The restaurant is quite small and can only hold a few parties. The service was a little slow, but it was quite busy that day. If you're in the area, please give it a try! read more

I'm in love with their fried chicken - sweet and spicy sauce even though my spice tolerance isnt good at all. Came twice since their opening 2 weeks ago to dine in. I ordered the soup flavor with beef brisket. It's like a sizzling claypot except its the soup that is boiling hot. Their noodles were pretty good. It's definitely warm comfort food for fall or winter. My friends order the drinks and the mala soup. The drinks are definitely 100% worth to order. Those fruit tea drinks are freshly made - actual mangos squeezed etc, unlike the powdered versions at the standard drink places (kung fu tea, vivis). The shop is brand new. My fellow readers, let's support this local shop. They have been in construction since the beginning of the year. They only got to open it in September. Paying rent around that time would have been really tough on them + it looks like the auntie owns the restaurant. She cooks and welcomes the guests here. She recognized me immediately when i came 2nd time around. read more

If you're all about the broth and noodles when it comes to noodle soup, then this is the place for you. Here you'll get full off the rich flavorful broth and fresh rice noodles. While the soup and noodle portions are generous, the meat and veggie portions are on the smaller side. However you'll get the satisfaction of adding it into your soup and cooking it the way you like. I see lots of people get takeout but recommend dining in for the full experience. The service here is amazing and so attentive. Lastly, the drinks here are a hidden gem. I seriously drive all the way here just to get drinks to go. I'm also naming this place one of my favorite boba places in Quincy (and that's saying a LOT). I prefer their mango / sago smoothies over dessert at yocha and their classic milk tea reminds me of the hk style one at onezo. read more
