The menu selection was very slim. A basic sandwich served in a hot dog bun served with one flavor of chips. You can order fries for $7.00. Does not match any of the pictures of food/menu we saw before coming in. 85 degrees out and no A/C inside. Would not have went here had we known. read more

After a long trip in the backcountry we were at a quandary for what sounded the best so we decided to stroll down the short streets of Silverton and look over their menus. The menu for Eureka caught our eye as it was unique, fresh, and a little more quiet than the establishments on the main drag. Their pasties, sounded yummy, and I decided to give the original a try, my wife tried the Ruben pastie and we also got an order of French fries and sweet potato fritters. All of the food tasted amazing and we had prompt and friendly service. The portions were generous and the price was great. We definitely recommend to give this place a try. read more

Great spot and they have a dog friendly outside. This is a locals place and while it's not the mustache it is awesome. They have pastys pronounced pastees and they're awesome. I had the cheeseburger one and it was just what I expected. Go check em out if everything else has a wait. It's totally worth it. They also have a kick ass location and bar. read more

Favorite restaurant for dinner in Silverton. They are open later than most, for those that would rather not eat at 6 pm with the tourist crowds ;) we started with margaritas that were super fresh (and being from TX, we are particular about margs)...these were great. The meatloaf special was delicious and we fought over the last bite. They were playing great music on vinyl overhead and it was overall a nice atmosphere. Will return for sure. read more

Spent a long weekend in Silverton and was looking for something different than the average fare. All the locals recommended Eureka. We walked in and were surprised by the fantastic new construction interior. Huge front windows kept us in touch with the outside sun views of the mountain. AWESOME!! The staff was super friendly and the owner was totally awesome! This is truly a Family experience. Kids ate the Tommyknocker kids meal with Pigs in blanket and hand cut fries. The wife had the Sweet Greens with chicken and I the Colorado Pasty. Filled us completely up. Would highly recommend this. Prices were great ranging under $10 per person. If you get the chance come to this awesome slice of different. We went to other restaurants in town and this was a gourmet experience. read more

You have to get your timing just right. They were taking orders at the bar downstairs. Then you find a table and they will bring the food to you. Tried the pot roast pasty and it was pretty icky. Chunks of flavorless beef, flavorless gravy all within an okay crust. This was nothing like the pasty I have had previously. I don't recommend at all!! However, the sweet potato/goat cheese/bacon fritters were the best thing I ate in Silverton. The salad with feta and strawberries and candy pecans was simple and good but not worth the price tag. Pick one thing and do it well! A lot of places sacrifice quality in the name of variety. Eureka Station Cornish Tavern is not one of those places. The menu isn't huge, but what they make is of the highest quality. They make pasties. Singular pasty (pass-tee). Imagine the best beef stew you've ever had in a tender, flaky, buttery hand-held crust, and you start to get the idea. I had the traditional with the house chop salad as a side. My husband had the New Mexican with fries. My 4 year old had the quesadilla with fries and applesauce. The pasties were HUGE and delicious. The fries were fresh cut potatoes. The house chop salad was shredded kale and brussel sprouts and delicious. The New Mexican wasn't *really* New Mexican (we're from ABQ): the chicken was stewed in tomato sauce, but still delicious. It's family friendly with a full bar. I had a Major Tom (Tom Collins) and it was the best I've ever had (fresh squeezed lemon juice!). The price was a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for. Decor was modern hipster chic with antiques. Very nice and peaceful especially compared with other places in town. Will come back here again! read more

Had dinner here on Friday night - great experience! Daily special of grilled flat iron steak was amazing! Traditional pasty was delicious as well! Got to-go order of NM Chile pasty and Reuben pasty for others in our group who did not join us at restaurant. Rave reviews on those dishes. This is no little mountain town food. The food rivals big city taste buds. The burrata was outstanding, also had the roasted beets, the risotto, and pork tenderloin. Their pasty's are so outstanding that they run out by end of day. So hurry up and get them during lunch time. They have a back yard patio too. This place is great! They do terrific Brussel sprouts with candied bacon! My man friend gets the steak, which tastes amazing, but we wish for 20 bucks you'd get a whole potato with it... because the way they prepare the potato is amazing! But everything I've had from here is good. They just redid the whole building, so there is a pool table in there now, which is fun! But the reason I'm giving it 4 stars, is because in the winter, it is SO COLD. I hope they put another source of heat in there. But they are THE ONLY PLACE WITH GLUTEN FREE BEER THAT I ANY GOOD!!!!! This place was a nice surprise. The pasty I tried (the New Mexican) was very tasty, with a delicious, flaky crust. The atmosphere was great, too, as the restaurant is housed in a historic building, but updated just enough to be clean and modern without losing the traditional feel. The only caution is that they only serve pasties, so if you aren't interested in those, you will have to go elsewhere. But I suggest you give them a try! read more

We stopped here based upon the fact that it was one of the few places on Silverton to have a decent review. We were not disappointed. The food was different than what you usually find, but it was a very good surprise. The pasties are a very good size, and they were made quickly. We did not go for individual sides, as that would have added a lot to the bill. Instead, we just went with a basket of fries for the table. We also chose water rather than individual drinks. We have eaten here twice in one week. Despite prior reviews of poor service we found the service quite good and friendly. Stop in for traditional miner Pastys (pass-tee). We tried the pot pie, traditional (my favorite) and the rosemary steak. All good. Great outdoor patio as well. Based on our experience, can't go wrong here. We will be back. read more

Excellent food, by far the best spot for dinner that we've found in Silverton yet. The Brussel sprouts are amazing! Great place that has been around only a short while (maybe 2 years?). Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food. Burata cheese, roasted beets, pork belly, bison meatloaf. Drinks are so-so. Need more beer options, in my opinion and bar had no olives to make a martini. Still, it was good enough to go back twice (once for dinner and another time for lunch). My family took a trip here to explore the city for a day then my mom and I noticed a great smell.. We said "what is that?" and we showed up here. The food we had was new and different. It wasn't blow your socks off tell everyone about it type of place but it was great. They have a place for dogs as well and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Seating: okay if you find it yourself Service: Absolutely atrocious, server finally came around and dropped off menus. We ordered drinks. Drinks came back for half of our party of 8. Then 10 minutes later the others arrived. At this time we placed our food order, asked the waiter if he could divide ticket 2 ways he said "that's not gonna happen". Almost 30 minutes from this point the waiter came back to inform us they were "out of chicken" we reordered some of the "famous pastries" and were told in another 10 minutes they "ran out" we left $25 on table (more than enough to cover our waters and 3 tap beers that were actually brought to our table). The surprise here to us was , they are in a tourist stop, but don't seem to care if they take care of their guests. Should be prepared and friendly to the patrons that walk in their doors from all over the world. Hopefully they correct the issues or retrain staff. We went to this place off of Yelp reviews. My husband and I ate here on our last night in Silverton on the recommendation of others in our group. It was fantastic. When we arrived there was only one other couple in the whole place, and as we ate, a few (but not many) trickled in. I don't understand this! It's easily the nicest place to eat in Silverton, one of the few places where the menu isn't mostly cheeseburgers and fried stuff. We had the asparagus appetizer, which came with arugula, some ham that was basically bacon, and tomatoes. Husband had the pasty and house salad. The house salad was unique, not your usual lettuce with two tomato slices and a cucumber. I had the pork loin, which was served with polenta, and arugula topped with more of the hammy bacon bits, and a wonderful mustard sauce. We had ridden the train the day before and sadly did not choose this as our lunch destination. Others on the train raved about it, so we drove two hours back to explore Silverton and enjoy this unique but YUMMY dining experience. We were not disappointed. This is NOT bar food. It seemed to be all homemade with the finest and freshest ingredients. They even prepare pork dishes with the best of the best Kurobuta Pork!!!! That is very rare to find! We did not leave hungry. Finally! We live in Durango and come to Silverton often, but it has always been a little lacking in the fresh food department, especially in the off season. There a plenty of places to go for fried food, but nothing that was better than bringing your own lunch. Then we discovered the Eureka Station! The potpie pasty is delicious so is the fish and chips (I know, it's fried, but it comes with kale chips!) The roasted beet salad is amazing, fresh and healthy! In Silverton! In the middle of winter!
