Front door. We didn't see one phone come out inside while we were there.

In this small town feel area of Colorado, you won't find fast food chains or people snapping pictures at the dinner table. Your time around the table is meant to enjoy the food, libations, and company you're surrounded with. For that reason you won't see the photos I typically post. Don't let that take away from the amazing experience we had. For starters, the trout dip was unique in all the best ways. Creamy, layered, and topped with the perfect amount of capers for that salt fix. We also had the olives and my corn bisque was the best I've had anywhere. I went with the braised rabbit over rooster comb pasta, with a light sweet pea, morel cream sauce. A few pieces of roasted tomato sprinkled throughout added the perfect amount of acidity. Hands down the most tender braised rabbit I've had, and I've had it in Malta. My friends enjoyed the Elk Bolognese over pappardelle, which I sampled and it was phenomenal, and the braised fall off the bone shortrib with roasted root veggies. Every entree was executed perfectly from our perspective. We ended the meal with their ricotta cheesecake and three scoops of local ice-cream (vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel). Just as flawless as the rest of pur meal. When you go, don't forget to try their craft cocktails. The bourbon infusion was delicious.

We heard from so many locals to try this place, and it did not disappoint. We went on a Sunday for their Sunday night prix-fixe dinner menu, and everything was absolutely delicious--we left very full. The sweet potato and miso bisque with their fresh bread was literally to die for. The brisket was amazing, and the pasta was full of flavor. We ended with two adorable desserts. The atmosphere is very romantic and much fancier than most places in Ouray, so I definitely recommend making a reservation. Even during the slow season, they only had a couple seats left at the bar for two.

Most restaurants in tourist towns aren't that good. Well, move over because Brickhouse is great. Expensive but amazing. We sat at the bar on a crowded Monday. Reservations recommended it turned out. Anyway our seats were excellent with a Birds Eye view of the action and actually more our style than the tables. Anyway: burrata and beets appetizer-- literally perfect. Steak and fries -- literally perfect with a truffle salt on the fries. Short rib - ditto. Colorado beers on tap were well priced as was the Tempranillo. Friendly staff. Highly recommend sitting at the small bar.

Honestly the best food and restaurant in Ouray. It's a nice fancier spot to check out if you don't want burgers and the other bar foods on Main Street. We didn't have reservations but we were able to get seated upstairs towards the back next to the bar. It was a beautiful view since we were able to look outside of the streets. They had a special menu when we visited but all the food were 10/10! Oysters (4 pieces)- clean sweet and plump, added with yuzu and vinaigrette Elk bolognese- very good, meaty, and tasty! Lobster pasta- flavorful, a bit on the sweeter side Short ribs-they were nice to be able to add foie goie from our request. It balanced it out so well with carrots and broccolini Drinks were also crafted well and a good break from me drinking beer all week.

Great dinner last night- We were celebrating our 48th anniversary while in Ouray. I enjoyed the Skuda Salmon dish and my wife enjoyed her Natural Chicken as well. We started off with the brussel sprouts which were an excellent appetizer. My Moscow Mule was very refreshing. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. While the dining area was small, it was charming and romantic! Give them a try- reservations recommended.

Wowza! What a gem BrickHouse 737 is. Especially given its location in the Colorado mountains amongst endless basic pub food options. By the time we entered BrickHouse, we had been hopping from small town to town in Colorado for about a week. We had grown tired of fried food and bored of burgers. We were already excited by the variety of options on Brickhouse's menu before entering the restaurant. Then, upon trying the food, everything exceeded our expectations. We started with the roasted root vegetables. I must say, I have never enjoyed root vegetables, but particularly carrots, so much! The sauce and seasoning were truly spectacular. We also had the palisade peach bruschetta. Of course palisade peaches are already excellent, but I was impressed at BrickHouse's ability to make a combination sweet/savory dish so satisfying. This dish is a MUST if you are visiting during peach season. And lastly, we both had the elk bolognese as our entree. What was so excellent about this dish is that BrickHouse didn't rely on the elk to provide all of the dish's flavor. Rather, the seasoning, tomato-based sauce, and handmade pasta were all carefully crafted to complement the elk. If you are in Ouray and open to a slightly more expensive meal, your itinerary has to include BrickHouse 737.

Brick house is a great restaurant with several different dining areas and two bars. We had dinner upstairs and the service and atmosphere were perfect. The menu isn't huge but there's something for everyone and there are nightly specials. They have two outdoor seating areas and both face main street so there's plenty to look at. If you're looking for something more Colorado and less burgers or pizza, this is the place for you. The menu includes elk bolognese, venison, rabbit ravioli, and trout. I had one of the specials - lamb linguine - and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors and textures blended perfectly and it had golden raisins that gave it a touch of sweetness. Definitely a must for anyone dining in Ouray.

Everything was soooo good! We shared the roasted vegetables, Brussels sprouts, shishito peppers, butternut squash soup (with crab), caprese salad and the short rib with horseradish mashed potatoes. We enjoyed every dish and took home everything we didn't finish. The ambience upstairs was a little odd but we had a fantastic waitress and really enjoyed the quiet space to chat.

    Butternut Squash Bisque

We made reservations at the BrickHouse 737 for dinner last night. Excellent restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere. The service was excellent. The Butternut Squash Bisque was exquisite...no other word for how good the bisque was. We had a grilled, charred cabbage caesar salad that was like no other salad we have had, excellent, and we couldn't stop eating it. I had the Skuna Salmon, and it was lovely, and my husband had the pork chop and it was also excellent. If you are in Ouray this is a great place to dine.

We had a lovely meal starting with the trout and avocado dip, an inventive and excellent combination. I had the seared chicken with harissa on polenta which was also excellent. Be sure and make a reservation as they fill up quickly

I am absolutely obsessed with this place.. I'm convinced it's one of the best restaurants in all of CO! The food is absolutely amazing. I am thoroughly impressed every time I dine here, & make it a point to come any time I'm in the area. Also, I mean C'MONNNN, Ouray is the best lil mountain town there is! I crave this polenta every day until I have it again. Please do not sleep on it!! The shrimp and corn fritters were absolutely delicious and so crispy. The braised short rib was so juicy and tender. The potatoes beautifully creamy, and the veggies cooked to perfection. I can't wait to get back to Brickhouse already! My mouth is watering just writing this. Lol

Quality was good -- the fries were a stand-out. I had a green chili burger that had good food flavors, but was nowhere near as spicy as the description had it. DRINK: A brew-pub is only as good as the brew. Both the saisson and the blonde we ordered were quite tasty, as were the seltzers. The selection isn't huge, but that's actually kind of nice; they covered all the beer bases without needing to offer a dozen different IPAs. SERVICE: Very friendly waitstaff, and fairly attentive. We were there at an early hour (they open earlier than other dinner restaurants), but food delivery was pretty quick. AMBIANCE: Brew-pub in an old building on Ouray's main drag -- ticked the boxes nicely. Place was clean, noise level was under control. We chose indoor seating, being concerned about heat up on the rooftop. NET-NET: A bit on the pricey side, but quite satisfying. If I were again in Ouray, I might try someplace else, but I would not need my arm twisted to return here.

Cute place, good food, will definitely be back.

If you can, do it. It completely elevates the experience. The amuse-bouche was the perfect start to the meal, a bright, refreshing citrus bite with goat cheese, prosciutto, and a light acidic glaze. Thoughtful, balanced, and such a great opening note for the evening. Next was the butternut squash ravioli, and honestly, the sauce alone was memorable. Rich without being heavy, deeply flavorful, and one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal ends. We followed that with the ribeye, cooked medium-well, paired with potato fingers. The steak came with a fantastic chimichurri, and the chef even stopped by to recommend a finishing salt specifically for the ribeye. That level of attention to detail, combined with thoughtful table side service, really stood out. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the bar staff. The creativity behind the drink menu is impressive, and the cocktails are genuinely fun, inventive, balanced, and clearly crafted with care. It's no surprise the drink menu has recently won awards, and you can absolutely taste why. What truly made the experience special was watching the kitchen in action. The female lead chef was calm, focused, and clearly guiding the team with confidence. It felt like watching a well-orchestrated dance, and the food absolutely reflected that leadership. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she ends up with a spot on one of the Top Chef shows. This place is a must stop. Grab the chef's table if you can, enjoy the cocktails, and trust the kitchen. The talent here is real, and it shows.

They have a small kitchenette with a fridge, bags of ice and coffee machines and they restock it daily. They also offer a whisky bar and a rooftop bar. The rooftop bar has a great view and a good bartender but it closes at 8:00 pm. The negatives are: the whiskey bar is never open. Maybe in the height of summer but certainly not when we were they (for three nights) and when I asked the bartender told me he had no plans to open it. However the real negative was the bathroom in our room (The Memphis). My wife always says that innkeepers who run boutique properties should stay in every room for one night. I think that if they had done they would understand the drawbacks of our room. The shower area has one open wall that let's water spill out over the rest of the bathroom. They have a rain shower head and wall mounted head that is the perfect for those vertically challenged folk (4'10" and under fit perfectly). Most wall mount shower heads have slider bars to make them usable. There is no housekeeping, which again, I get. It's a small property. But they literally have no place to dry your towels other than to hang them on handles of the sliding door leading to the bathroom. There is also no counter space to put your toiletries.
