Spectacular Friday Night. I often whine about the restaurants in Montrose having license plates on the walls, and I'd like a nice, quiet place with a touch of class. The Stone House absolutely delivered! wonderful ambiance, not super loud music, nice staff I keep forgetting to come back, its a mistake. Prime Rib on Friday, a perfectly cooked medium rare, flavor spot-on. Vegetables were perfect, light crunch, not mush, flavorful as could be. Wait staff? friendly, smiling, nice, and not "fakey fakey" but truly seemed to be in a good mood and making the evening great. I'm thrilled, highly recommend.. Will return often. thank you

Stone house is a great place for an evening out! I ordered the mussels and garlic bread and it's a great tasting appetizer, coming from someone who lives off the California coast! The restaurant inside felt warm and cozy and would be a plus when it's cold out there. Our waitress was friendly and was personable with us and she did an amazing job. The ribeye was extremely tender, ordered medium rare and I can't lie it's one of the best ribeyes I've had in a long time. Extremely flavorful and the veggies paired weren't too heavily seasoned or salted and it added some nice color. Mashed potatoes were a staple and were also really good. Overall a great place to eat and for a steakhouse with a lot of other options it's pretty good price wise.

This place is at the south end of Montrose, near the Walmart. It is a cute building but very tight parking lot, not a lot of spaces. When I walked in, I was greeted by the host stand with 4 people around it, not customers, but staff. They were working on a seating issue with a guest ( she seemed to be upset with the location they placed her in but had no other large tables, and another party who had a large party was waiting to be seated once they moved the mad lady). NOT a single one said welcome or we will be with you on a min. I started my timer and waited 3 mins for them to even acknowledge me. Not a great start. Once they did acknowledge me, I was seated right away, it was only me. Waitress was good, gave me a few mins them took my order right away. I was not that hungry so I got an appetizer and a wedge salad. Was not really a fan of the pork belly skewer. There was to much chili sauce just poured on top. It would have been nice to have it cooked in the chilli sauce to get a nice crunch and caramelization. Wedge salad was good. Just the right amount of dressing. Not sure if the dressing is house-made, the waitress disappeared after she dropped my food off. Next time I saw her was when she stopped to she guests pictures of her kid. Might give them a try again if in town. Would like to try the shrimp scampi I saw a young kid had.

Explanation of "hi-tea" vs "afternoon tea" nice educational touch.

We came to check out the hi tea. It was a great experience. Loved the booth and the white tablecloth. The back room has a cozy vibe. This was a unique experience and the service was above and beyond. Seems to be a seasonal offering this summer. Saturdays from 1-3, RSVP in advance required! Check it out!

Food was average, expensive for the quality. Seated us next to a large party in middle of the room. Had to ask to be moved.

They have great food and a nice atmosphere. Sunday Brunch is awful!! You can order from menu and hope they don't serve you from buffet.

I mean, we could not get enough. If you ever get a toast, make sure to ask for their fruity syrup. It's just WOW. Also, get their bacon - Starvin' Arvin's can make bacon right. Everything else is alright. We came in hungry and wanted a bit of everything. While we enjoyed their bread, pancakes and French toast, it seems like we ordered the weakest dishes in the joint. The chicken fried steak, hash browns and green chili omelet were okay. The steak and hash browns were lacking flavor on their own, so you really had to make it your own by adding seasoning or getting a touch of extra gravy. The green chili omelet has a lot going on. It's pack full of a variety of flavor, but when one component doesn't work, it's like the whole dish struggles because you can't pick it out of the dish. The place felt like an old-school diner which is something to appreciate. It has a nice parking lot around the location, and it's rowdy in the morning like you'd expect from a place like this.

I don't think they refrigerate the ketchup overnight, the lid was pretty crusty and it tasted slightly fermented.

"Camp Robber" may amount to highway robbery...hear me out:…read moreGot food to go, ordered online. Fairly smooth ordering process. Got chicken quesadilla appetizer for the kids, 1/2 rack of ribs, and street tacos (one pulled pork, one grilled chicken, and one beer battered cod) with beans and cilantro rice. The service was kind and I picked it up on time. The orders were hand-written on the boxes. Inside the store was pretty standard for a Southwestern style casual dining restaurant. Dark walls, decent lighting. So as far as affordability...here's where it fell flat. I'll say, the food was all flavorful. If it was taste alone, it would be a 5 star. BUT... The street tacos were comparable in size to Del Taco's street tacos... so...not much. For the price point, not worth it. The "1/2 rack" of St. Louis Style Ribs had a total of 4 ribs. Like...would their 1/4 rack only have 2 ribs?? The best value item was the chicken quesadilla, but we paid extra to sub sour cream for the salsa (my kids can't handle "spice"), and it came in a SMALL condiment cup. Ultimately, we polished off our dinner and had to supplement everything with other foods. Which we'd be fine with except at the price we paid, anywhere else would have easily left us satisfied. Ultimately, it was good and people were kind, so it just amounts to a big sigh.
