    The Feast and Brussel Sprouts
    Kelli P.

Fun place, picnic tables but industrial inside with metal and wood. We had the Brussels sprouts and they are amazing! So tasty, definitely sweetened, multiple textures and flavors. We ordered the Feast for 3 of us with some leftovers. Now to start off, I grew up in Texas and have opinions about BBQ. Hands down I love the ribs here, good smoky flavor, well seasoned, good bark. So yum! Brisket and pulled pork are good. I love to put the coleslaw with the pulled pork. Desserts were tasty too. Staff is so friendly. We had live jazz music while we were here. Go here! Eat ribs!

We had a fantastic breakfast at the Smokehouse in Ouray! We meandered through town prior to and nothing was calling to us so we started down the road and happened upon this place and I'm so thrilled about it! It can be a little confusing because it's a part of a campground/ resort. But once you turn in, you can easily identify where to go! Service was great! We sat outside with the nice, warm propane heaters! I got the bronco buster and wife got the all American. The sausage gravy was !!

Wow. Such complex pairings in the brisket eggs Benedict. Loved the chunky potatoes to clean up the hollandaise sauce. Son had eggs, brisket and hash. This place left me overhearing multiple people say to waitress "wow this was good." It is a memorable experience. Outside patio had six hummingbirds visiting plants. Hours are odd. Dinner sometimes, sometimes not. Check the Ouray Riverside Resort for info or call so you don't waste a trip. Epic views of mountain behind and joins Ouray River walk. Well worth a bike ride from Ouray on river walk or drive.

We just got done with the downstream part of the Ouray Via Ferrata and stopped in here for some much needed fuel! The service was great and the food hit the spot! Great seasoning on our meals! When we are back in town we will be stopping here again! Dan & Lexi

This place is so quaintly beautiful and place so lovely next to a walking path that follows water. The staff was so friendly and were great with my dog. Yes, my dog!! There was live music. The food was very good: I love the smoked trout and the tiramisu was sooooo delicious!! The salad was so good and the prime rib was amazing!! We ordered so much food and we got our money's worth.

Breakfasts! Huevos rancheros, sunny side up and poached!

After a very long drive from Phoenix to Ouray the night before, I decided to take my friends out for breakfast. The location is perfect right by the river and the interior very cozy but we decided to sit on the patio. Although it was chilly, the heaters did a great job of warning us up. The server couldn't be better at her job. Impeccable service! The eggs were perfectly cooked and my friends said the Huevos Rancheros weee the best that they ever had!

This is a convenient stop if you're staying at the attached RV park, and even if you're not, it's worth a visit for a fun, easygoing night out. The atmosphere was lively, with live music and a laid-back crowd that made the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. I started with the cucumber martini, which was fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. For dinner, I ordered the sampler platter with brisket, ribs, and chicken. The barbecue was decent across the board. The brisket had good flavor, the ribs were tender, and the chicken was moist and well-cooked. The sides--baked beans and mac and cheese--were both satisfying and filling. Service was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and made us feel welcome. The highlight of the night was dessert. The s'mores martini tasted like melted ice cream in the best possible way. It was topped with a torched marshmallow, done tableside, which added a fun and memorable touch.

This little restaurant is a ways out of ouray and is kind of in the RV park which is why it got 4 stars. The food and service were great. I had the brisket BLT but the b was for brisket. The wife tried the pulled sandwich. I ordered the potato salad which I would totally recommend. The brisket was tender and flavorful. The wife said the pork was also great.

TOURISTS AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Food was rushed- bland, swimming in juices. Kept having to ask for water, and our food. The service was absolutely horrendous. Lynn (racist red head with glasses) had the audacity to have an attitude when we asked to split the check and then tell us "if you want me to sit here for the next 20 minutes and split your check then I'll do it" as if that's not your job? Or maybe you should've asked how the check was going to be taken care of instead of assuming? We came as two separate tables, ordered separately, at what point did we say it was a joint check? Also sitting there at the bar talking bad about people in our party to the bartender and acting surprised when getting caught? Not only disrespectful but unprofessional, in the future maybe wait until they are out of your restaurant before ranting. Mind you we got there about an hour before closing, and we had all decided that due to us being so late we were all leaving a large tip ($40 per couple, we were 8 couples), but a $474 check with an added $73 tip for that kind of service and food? Would leave $0 in tips and 0 stars if I could. Still wondering why it's so hard to support small businesses? It's because of people like Lynn!

Located at the Ouray riverside resort but open to everyone. Cute smokehouse with nice bar inside. Some outdoor seating too but looks to RVs which isn't where I would choose to sit unless it's karaoke night or live band night. Our waitress Kathy was great- kind, friendly and attentive. Our food - smokehouse for 2 was a lot of smoked meat and an amazing barbecue sauce- like really good. Cocktails were delicious! Old fashion was Smokey and so good. S'more's tasted just like s'mores - yum- just do it.

Brisket was more fat than meat. Tasted bland. BBQ sauce was good. Not worth the money. Very disappointed. Won't be back.

Great outdoor parking and very fast service. We had the sampler and the brisket and ribs were amazing. The sides are ok.

It's a 140-year place with history and charm and creaks in the floor and a dead bear on the wall and preserved painting of a woman on the bar floor... that kinda spot. And we wouldn't change a thing. The views are spectacular all around, the drive into Ouray is beautiful and The Western puts you in great position to walk Main Street or hike up to Cascade Falls. The bar and bartenders are cocktails are all super cool, including a single large branded ice cube in the glass. Let's talk about the restaurant, though. I didn't want to venture and we gave it a shot. Nothing on the menu really even looked appetizing to me or the kids but we put on a good face anyway for mom. We ate all the food and our words--it was all delicious! By the way: I've spoken to locals and frequenters of Ouray who say that The Western was once considered kinda dumpy before a renovation in the past few years. I can't speak for how it was then, but I can tell you how it is now is just where I want to be.
