I hope I'm writing this review in the right spot. This place is family owned and runned. Recently re done with beautiful tables and chairs. The bartenders were amazing. Great margaritas and aperol spritz. The tots are to die for! Get them!! Fun place to stop. We ended up watching a lot of soccer here. Super fun!!!

Don't go in a hurry. Took time to get menus and had to ask twice for water. Nice patio seating outdoors. Food was good. Had the mushroom and Swiss, not as many mushrooms and onions as I normally would have on burger which made the thick brioche bun with it "dry". Ask for some kind of sauce on side. Good pub food.

Full Tilt in Ouray... Busy on September early evening... One waiter was very busy with both bar and food service.. but doing a great job.. Old original Ouray building.. High Tin ceiling.. Fairly good menu options.. Had French Dip and salad.. wife had Shrimp and Chips and salad.. both good options...

Staff is amazing! Very friendly and quick I did get chili and probably one of the best I have had. Super meaty, good tomatoes, and BEANS!! Ambiance on outside patio is cozy and dog friendly

We went on a Friday night. Their first night with the patio open. The ambiance was really lovely and exactly what you'd expect from a quality steakhouse. Service was kind and attentive. Food was great too. We will go back! Space is a bit limited so large groups may be difficult, but I got the sense they will accommodate you if you're patient.

They should win an award for serving the most flavorless burger this side of the Mississippi. Honestly, I've had cardboard with more personality. It was mind-numbing how utterly bland it was... like someone whispered "burger" over a rice cake and called it a day, honestly I think a hockey puck would taste better!! No seasoning, no soul... just sadness between two buns. On the plus side it was an epic view of the mountain!!

I wanted to like the place better. The inside is like a bar, the outside is the place to be. The service was fast and friendly. We ordered a burger and the chicken sandwich. The fries were good. The chicken was tiny, like miniscule and thin. The flavor was good. The burger was bland, totally underseasoned. So just okay.

Fast and friendly service. Atmosphere has an old-timey feel from the building, mixed with classic rock music playing in the background. . We were there at lunchtime on a Tuesday. Not busy at all. We ordered the Bacon Bleu Burger. According to the menu, it gas Gold Canyon Chuck and brisket beef blend, blue cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickles, tomato, and mayo on a brioche bun. After a few minutes, the waitress returned and notified us that they didn't have any bacon. I changed my order to the Southern Chicken Sandwich that, according to the menu, has fried chicken, Cajun aïoli, and pickles served on a brioche bun. The Chicken Sandwich turned out to be excellent. The aioli gave it terrific flavor with a hint of spice. I would give it a 5/5. My girlfriend stayed with her original Bacon Bleu Burger, even though they didn't have bacon. She gave it a 4/5, only because it was missing the bacon. Would I eat here again? Absolutely! Highly recommended!

The wife and I visited here for lunch, on Sunday, October 9, 2022. We had just had some refreshments at the nearby Ouray Brewery. They had mixed me up a couple of perfectly balanced gin and tonics and my wife drank their beers. I opted not to mix hard liquor and beer, so I ordered a Moscow mule ($9). The mule came in a copper cup, and consisted of Ketel One Vodka, Roses lime, bitters, and ginger beer. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste any ginger or lime or the burn of the Vodka. It seemed the tiny portion of vodka had just been added to ice cubes and water. This definitely didn't even resemble a Moscow mule in any way, shape or form. I also ordered the Green chili Philly ($17). The Philly came with ribeye steak, caramelized onions, Hatch green chiles, American cheese on an amoroso roll. I had a side of onion rings with this. The food made up for the lackluster, uninspired Moscow mule. Steak had no fat, thinly sliced, chiles were hot, and they added a nice amount of melted cheese. Onion rings crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. If you visit here, stick to the beers (my wife liked hers) and the food. Stay away from the overpriced, weird cocktails.

Always a win at this place. Great food, service and ambiance. There is a porch section during the summer that is very pleasant.

Good food. Quick service. It is a bar with food. Menu is mostly "bar food" aka fried options, burgers. It was a good meal.

The ordering process is simple: grab a menu when you enter, find a seat, and place your order at the counter when you're ready. The staff was professional, polite, and welcoming throughout our visit. The breakfast burrito was outstanding, easily the best one I had during my time in Colorado. It was perfectly prepared, complete with beautiful panini-style grill marks that added both texture and flavor. I was also impressed by the extensive selection of hot sauces, with options to suit just about every taste. In addition to the food, they offer a great selection of local craft beers. Unfortunately, it was only 9:30 in the morning, so I wasn't able to take advantage of that part of the menu! One of the highlights is the large window overlooking the mountains surrounding the town, providing a beautiful backdrop while you dine. This is the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, and I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

We walked in the door and was warmly greeted by the only guy we saw working there. He was grinding up coffee, which smelled really good! We read the sign that said to take a menu, pick a table, then go to the counter and order your meal. We went to the counter and the friendly guy. Let us smell the copy that he was grinding. We then placed our order for one brisket entrée, and one salmon entrée. Then we asked him about splitting a Caesar, and he said sure. After paying for the meal upfront, he pointed us to the table where we could pick up our napkins, utensils, and get some water. This is a very self service place. That's fine. There was only one other couple in the restaurant that had gotten there before us so they were not busy. About 15 minutes, went by and we wondered if we were ever going to get our Caesar salad. A few minutes later, our food was served to us, including a small Caesar salad that was not split. We quickly mentioned with surprised that oh the salad comes out with the food? Our server smiled and said: enjoy. We eat out quite often and we can rarely think of any time that a salad came out with the meal. It's designed to keep you happy and give you something refreshing to eat while they're back in the kitchen cooking your meal. We figured when they came out to check with us, we would mention that it was too late and could they remove it from our bill. However, the entire time we ate our meal, no one ever came to check on us. The gentleman we ordered from along with a lady chatted the entire time at the counter as we were eating. They only passed by our table after a patron came in looking for something he thought he might've left there earlier. When she came and asked to clear our plates, I asked if that's typical that the salad comes out with the entrées because we no longer want the salad. She said she was sorry that our server didn't ask if we wanted it early or with the meal. Then she took our plates away and left the Caesar salad sitting there. It's really too bad we had such a poor experience as we were planning to come back for breakfast in the morning, based on the reviews. It's funny because on our bill, it's listed as an $11 "starter" Caesar salad. My husband said his brisket was average, a little dry, except when he got a good fatty part. The potatoes and the vegetables were good. My salmon was just slightly overcooked, but very delicious and I really enjoyed the taste of my meal. For us, customer service is as much a part of the experience as the food. Judging by the reviews, this hopefully is a one off.

It's a 140-year place with history and charm and creaks in the floor and a dead bear on the wall and preserved painting of a woman on the bar floor... that kinda spot. And we wouldn't change a thing. The bar and bartenders are cocktails are all super cool, including a single large branded ice cube in the glass. Let's talk about the restaurant, though. I didn't want to venture and we gave it a shot. Nothing on the menu really even looked appetizing to me or the kids but we put on a good face anyway for mom. We ate all the food and our words--it was all delicious! By the way: I've spoken to locals and frequenters of Ouray who say that The Western was once considered kinda dumpy before a renovation in the past few years. I can't speak for how it was then, but I can tell you how it is now is just where I want to be.
