Wonderful! First time here. Cute, charming little Italian place. My sister and I are visiting on vacation. This place got great reviews as it should. We had a wonderful experience. Food was amazing and fresh. Service was great. Clean. We received fresh hot sourdough bread quickly. I ordered the Rosa Tortellini. I received a nice crisp house salad with my meal. You do get a lot of food for the money. My sister got the salmon and said it was absolutely wonderful. We would eat here again if we visit this area again. Highly recommend.

We chose one night to go somewhere upscale/ fancier for our week vacation trip. We had 3 places narrowed down in Ouray and Ridgeway. 2 of the 3 were this company's same-ish owners / food (bon ton and Bella vino). The food pictures and menu looked phenomenal that we for sure wanted Bella Vino and didn't even know what to get because there as so many good options to choose from! They also had great reviews. I was even MORE excited because they offered gluten free options that included appetizers and pasta! Pros- food options, reservations day of, cook time, serving sizes, food quality Cons- lack of flavor/ seasoning, steak special and an appetizer was sold out within hour of opening, small inside with seating , wait area and dining decor and furniture are random and outdated/ cheap for the vibe and pricing they're suppose to be Appetizer: scallop pot pie. I thought it was going to be a lasagna style but it's on top of a sauce with scallops on outside with spinach and puff pastry on top. Not gluten free but my mom liked it. Salads: Cesar and the best I ever had. So good I didn't get a picture. Big serving size too. Entrees: 1) mixed grill which consisted of steak and shrimp with cream cheese mashed potatoes and green beans. Mashed potato's were really good and it was fresh green beans with grass fed steak and the shrimp were big. Very good. 2) gluten free scallop fettuccini alfredo. Serving size was good. Loveeee the option of having gluten free fettuccini. Scallops you only got 4 and paid $9 to add them on and got a lottttttt more mushroom than protein. Flavor I was disappointed. It was basically a butter/ oil sauce than Alfredo. It had not much of a flavor and zero seasoning. They don't put any parmesan in and she grated it at the table. It was creamier and not bad. I did eat probably half but I wouldn't get that again. Dessert: forgot the name but it was a chocolate pie with whipped cream on a raspberry drizzle and the waitress suggested to add raspberry sorbet. It was very rich, thick, and didn't have much of flavor. Overall it wasn't bad but for the pricing and one and only night we did "fancy" I wish I chose a different dish or place to eat.

The food was good and reasonably priced for the atmosphere of the restaurant. I had the spinach ravioli, which was delicious.

It's been over 5 years since I've reviewed this restaurant! I was just there last night and it is…read morestill as good as it always was. I was not able to make a reservation because it was completely booked when I checked their website. My husband and I arrived at 6:30PM on a Friday night. There were 2 seats at the bar; lucky us! My husband always has the Tanteo Margatini. Former bartender, Kirk's, concoction. He had three last night. It's that good! He calls it "spicy, sweet, yet refreshing ". Spice from jalapeño, sweetness from mango and agave. I usually have the Blueberry Hibiscus Martini. I also tried Pretty In Pink, which is my new favorite! Pretty in Pink was light, sweet, and pleasant on the pallet. Despite the lightness, still got me buzzing after 1 drink. Blueberry Hibiscus, a martini obviously, is stronger vodka taste, with lots of blueberry and floral notes. Very different drinks. I'll change it up based on my mood, haha! To start, always Parmesan Truffle Fries. French fries are my #2 favorite food. My all time favorite fries live at 626. They weigh the portions out so you will always have the same amount of fries. The crisp and potatoness is the perfect ratio. (If you're a fry girl, you get what I'm saying lol.) Blue cheese escargot: flavorful, buttery, garlicky, bubbling hot, soft and tender escargot with slices of baguette to dip in the yummy butter. Calamari-- I didn't have it last night because I couldn't justify ordering a third appetizer but I remember this dish thoroughly. Lightly crisp calamari rings and tentacles, perfectly cooked and tender. I HATE overly cooked, rubbery chewy calamari. You will NEVER get that here. Yummy ponzu sauce to dip. Tempura Cauliflower-- also didn't have last night but another absolute favorite. I had the fish of the moment, which was trout served with purple cabbage and seasonal asparagus. (Another thing I love about 626 is their menu changing based on what's in season. You get that fresh shit!) Trout was perfectly cooked, duh. Flaky, little seasoning, not too much to overpower a delicious filet of trout. Asparagus was also cooked perfect. I hate a mushy, overcooked asparagus. Also love the touch of orange caviar on top. Mid bite, the bartender asked, "is everything tasting amazing?" Yes, yes, yes. Literally no other restaurant can ask this question. My husband had the black angus tenderloin. They recommend medium rare, so of course we have to do it that way. It was tender and delicious. I cut it with a butter knife! We didn't have time for dessert. We were rushing to The Avalon for a show, just 1 block away. But I will tell you my favorite is the crème brûlée. Always the perfect texture and sweetness. Also the almond cake with Enstrom's ice cream added on. My husband and I were there on a BUSY night. Every chair on the floor had a customer. It was loud, but I was still able to have conversation with my husband sitting next to me. Despite the occupied staff, they're always friendly, attentive, warm and waits are minimal. They made sure we made it to our 8PM show on time. (We were 10 minutes early, hehe)

A Hidden Gem in Grand Junction!…read more The escargot with a hint of blue cheese was absolutely incredible -- rich, garlicky, and perfectly balanced. I also had the steak served with a fresh salad of spinach, pears, pomegranate, and goat cheese -- beautifully plated and full of flavor. The service was outstanding. The staff stayed late without rushing me while I enjoyed a lovely conversation with another guest, which says a lot about their hospitality. Between the food, the wine, and the warm atmosphere, this place is a must-stop when visiting Grand Junction. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food and genuine service.

Our party witnessed Kenny having multiple glasses of wine throughout the evening, and this likely contributed to our issues. After a delicious meal and experience we were presented with a receipt that erroneously stated we had one more drink than we ordered. The meal was over $800, so a $20 drink error should have been corrected with no issues. However Kenny insisted he was correct, and then we overheard him say to cancel our reservation. 30 minutes after we paid (including the extra drink we did not order) our Open Table reservation was canceled so now we can't leave a review on Open Table. Dine here at your own risk. The food is delicious, but be aware of drinking issues by the chef's husband.

When was the last time you ate somewhere and then cancelled your next evening's reservation…read moreelsewhere so that you could return to this same restaurant again? Yes - it is that good. Let me give you the deets: First of all...it is up at Mountain Village. The Little Bar at the Lumiere (per OpenTable.com), is nicely located at the intimate 28-room* Lumiere Hotel (near the gondolas). You take the garage elevator to the 4th floor and voila...swanky, cozy, elegant lounge. It is IMHO (in my honest opinion) TELLURIDE'S BEST KEPT SECRET! A Conde Nast top 100 hotel...and the bar + restaurant is exceptional. Lumiere Little Bar staff Kat and Alex took excellent care of us as we selected a cozy corner of this beautifully understated, mountain cozy bar lounge. The fireplaces, lounge tunes (think Zero 7 and Bitter:Sweet), and ambiance here are like a Four Seasons private residence lounge, but with even better food! I knew we were in for a treat when we asked each of these lovely Lumiere ambassadors what they like on the menu, and both were GUSHING about the food...and both struggled to find the words to explain just why the dishes tasted so good. It was geniune...honest...they were still gushing. We started to get the idea that perhaps we were going to be amazed with our dishes no matter which ones we chose. We chose items based on their recommendations: the caesar salad, short rib taco, mushroom lasagna. We weren't starving since we had a large lunch, but we were eager to see what all this fuss was about! First up was the bread basket. It included a couple of lovely, warmed ciabatta rolls (whole grain wheat and plain) with salted butter. Excellent, traditional start. Then the caesar. The caesar dressing is amazing. Magic. Made with...love? The balance of lemon, garlic, white anchovy, the texture of the parmesan...wow. Best caesar in memory. Truly. Then, the short rib taco. OMG. Three letters. F*c%$ng Awesome. Fourteen letters. Either way, it rocked. The flavors in it...salty, tangy, sweet...umami. Perfection. The lasagna...WOW. Three letters again. F*c7$ng Incredible. You do the math. Meantime, I'm eating the lasagna. (Diversion - that's my strategy.) The lasagna...deconstructed to a certain degree with a melange of vegetables and lentils off to the side, with a gorgeously fried tofu cube...the crispy lasagna pasta layers atop creamy goat cheese, ricotta...mushrooms. Right about now, I started to formulate my strategy to maintain room for dessert. That lemon tart with chocolate, hazelnut crust, vanilla whipped creme and berry compote...definitely had my number. As in 911. Urgent and immediate attention required. The dessert arrived and you know you love someone (or you're just pretty mind-blowingly thoughtful) when you put down your fork and say, "...oh no - you go ahead and eat the rest. I'm full." I did not even remember to take a picture before devouring it. I could have eaten an entire tart by myself. Not one 'dessert' portion. The whole tart. I can peddle up the mountain again tomorrow to burn those calories, I think to myself. Piece of tart, err um, I mean cake. I learned that Chef Eamonn O'Hara is the magic man behind the curtain. I think we ought to erect a monument in his name. My guy suggested an addition to Mt Rushmore. I say Rushmore isn't thinking big enough. Yep - it's passionate, head-over-heels-love at Foodie first taste Mr. O'Hara. Meantime, I guess we'll just have to go back tomorrow night for another dining revelation as we figure out to get this guy's magic to reach us back home in Boulder, CO. For now, I just say make this a MUST DINE while in Telluride or the surrounding, say, 500 miles. Alex, Kat, Chef Eamonn...You da bomb. We'll see you in 24. *18 guest rooms, 10 residences as we learned. In any case, it's intimate, charming and understated.
