The fresh food was absolutely amazing! Some of the local favorites are the fish and chips! (It was a "10"!! ) and the pork cops with homemade apple sauce! Wow! Great service, super clean, great atmosphere with a balance between historic and contemporary Full bar, great choice of wine, including organic. Ray enjoys his customers and can be seen frequently checking on guests and clearing tables! A true perfectionist! Prime location in downtown Montrose within walking distance to the movie theater and the new Rathbone Hotel. Did I mention the service was wonderful? Rachal was a gem! Desert is homemade! Not to be missed! My new favorite!

They have a gift shop area & a candle making area that you could watch while eating or get a cart and go shopping in it! I got the breakfast sandwich that tasted so good with their soft bread & great flavors coming from the pesto aioli sauce, bacon, and avocado. For a drink I had a lavender latte that hit the spot I should have asked for extra lavender but it was still delicious & drank every last bit of it! I did give one of the baristas props because she was the only girl wearing her hair up and we love a queen that works around drinks and food to have their hair out of the way! I definitely will be back in the future to bring other family and friends here!

My wife had the grain bowl couldn't go near her for 2 days the pesto had so much garlic. I had a grilled cheese, maybe I'm just a plain grilled cheese guy, the bread was awesome but the cheese and spread was just ok. Drinks were really good I love a small place that uses the right cherry!!

I mean, we could not get enough. If you ever get a toast, make sure to ask for their fruity syrup. It's just WOW. Also, get their bacon - Starvin' Arvin's can make bacon right. Everything else is alright. We came in hungry and wanted a bit of everything. While we enjoyed their bread, pancakes and French toast, it seems like we ordered the weakest dishes in the joint. The chicken fried steak, hash browns and green chili omelet were okay. The steak and hash browns were lacking flavor on their own, so you really had to make it your own by adding seasoning or getting a touch of extra gravy. The green chili omelet has a lot going on. It's pack full of a variety of flavor, but when one component doesn't work, it's like the whole dish struggles because you can't pick it out of the dish. The place felt like an old-school diner which is something to appreciate. It has a nice parking lot around the location, and it's rowdy in the morning like you'd expect from a place like this.

Place looked nice on the outside and hoped we weren't under dressed. But it is pretty casual and even though they were closing in an hour we never felt rushed. Some people came in after even. They have a bar but we didn't order any drinks. It was very nice inside and they had tables and booths. It was quiet as it was a Monday evening. The menu had a good variety and we both ordered the elk burger with different toppings and one with sweet potato fries the other with onion rings. Both cooked to medium and the sweet potato fires and onion rings simply delicious. The coating on onion rings very light which is what we like. We saved room for dessert since we had a long day. A San Juan Mudslide pie and chocolate creme brûlée. Both were really good. Creme brûlée wasn't what I expected just had chocolatey layer on bottom and regular creme brûlée on top. The server was friendly and attentive enough and accidently forgot to charge us the dessert. She was thankful for our honesty. We left super full and satisfied. Will be back if we are ever in the area.

It came with about 5 medium size shrimp. (Shrimp were not fresh. Tasted like frozen from a bag). Spaghetti was over cooked sauce was flavorful. My husband ordered chicken Alfredo also about $20. House salad $8.00 fresh and tasty. Waited a while for waiter to return to request check. Over all food was average especially for the prices and service was sub par.
