They don't have air conditioning, but you can sit inside, but really dark and a little dingy but kind of cool. Of course we did sit outside. They had a really excellent refreshing cocktail. Made with vodka and grapefruit juice. We had a skewer of barbecue shrimp, which was excellent and they have some pretty great Wines from this region which is round. I had some Colorado Lamb and all of their food could be served with linen and Crystal in a formal dining room. Seriously... Don't let the curb appeal drive you away from this place because the food is great and the people were really nice. Highly recommend coming here and then afterwards you're right on the river and you can take a walk in the public park to walk off the excellent meal you experience.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is located at the end of a state park past a trailer park, don't let the entrance fool you. They had plenty of parking. There is ONLY outdoor seating so keep that in mind, especially during the heat of the summer. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They have a lovely outdoor seating area with beautiful view of the mountains and you can look at their small garden. Service: The service was great. Our food was brought promptly and everyone we encountered was friendly. Food: The food was AMAZING. I live in Tampa, Florida and this chef can easily compete with professional chefs in Tampa. The food was soooo good. The chef changes the mean each week and cooks based off what's available. The chef puts love into his food and it shows. We tried the 'Baked Feta' appetizer which was so good. It came with crostini and purslane. I've never eaten purslane before but it was so good. I had their 'Bone Marrow Pasta' and it was AMAZING. The pasta is homemade. My husband had their 'Smoked Salmon Grower Bowl' and loved it. They must smoke the salmon themselves because it did not look store bought. For dessert, we got their last slice of 'Apricot Blueberry Pie', the piece came with homemade vanilla ice cream. It was soo good. I can't say enough good things about our dinner here. We came here around 5:30, on a Monday evening, and it was very busy by the time we left at 7 pm. I recommend come right when they open because they only cook items on the menu until they're gone.

The occasion: viewing the incredible "Keith Haring: Grace House Mural" exhibition at MCA Denver back in 2021. Towards the end of my visit, I went upstairs to the rooftop and purchased a bottle of Big B's organic lemonade. Organic ingredients include lemon juice, cane sugar, whole lemons and apple juice, along with filtered water and natural flavor. What I loved about this lemonade is the citrus essence was great, it was not cloyingly sweet (more moderately sweet), and the apple juice gave it a welcome, totally different taste not found in most lemonades. Drinking this delicious lemonade was a great way to cap off an enjoyable visit to the museum. On a different note, I didn't realize Hotchkiss, Colorado is actually closer to Utah than Denver. It's about 236 miles away from Denver. But if I'm ever taking a road trip, I would like to visit Big B's Delicious Orchards.

I have also purchased their cider in other venues. Camping is awesome with incredible views and solitude depending on how many other people are camping. The ponds and kayaks are so much fun. The cider is excellent and service is friendly. I would definitely go back and hope to go to one other concert sometime in the summer.
