Then their order was later served to us...so of course everyone's orders were wrong. The food was very tasty... but I ordered medium well burger w/fries.... not medium rare w/onion rings. My husband and I have sheen coming to The Enterprise in the summer for about 4 years now. The Enterprise is very casual and always friendly. We've always great food, great service, and great drinks. They have a full bar and recently added wine to the menu. It's a fun experience too because the restaurant has been in Rico since 1882. The place has a pool table and the new owner has added pinball machines and darts in the basement. He has also added several types of entertainment during the summer such as movie night, karaoke, and live music. There are a couple of large elk heads on either side of the bar and you're reminded of what Rico must have been like before 1900. A great place in a tiny mountain town! read more

Stopped on a whim for some food driving back from Mesa Verde. The gluten free pizza is phenomenal! It was so good that I had to double check if it was actually gluten free. Everything they make is made in house. The owner Stu came out and greeted us. There was an amazing band playing outside (The Blackwell Brothers). Everyone was very friendly. Was in town for the 4th of July and my favorite liquor store next door was closed for the day so we wanted into the Enterprise. Incredibly busy but considering the population of town was triple for the day they handled it all very well. Decent selection of taps and great Bloody Marys. We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years. During Covid the people that were serving meals outside were always friendly and the food always good. We walked into the bar this evening July 1st after driving up from Cortez to order some food and some drinks. The two women working behind the bar saw us but never said a word. Neither of them said hi or I'll be with you in a minute. Nothing. We sat at the bat for 15-20 minutes. Not one word from the two women working the restaurant and bar. So after about 15-20 minutes we just left. Rudest service ever. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We will never go back. read more

The menu is also thoughtfully made. Typically an old bar like this usually carries sloppy, fried and fatty food but this apart from the comfort food also gives options for organic and gluten free food. This place blew me away! Not what I expected that is a bar type place with fatty greasy hamburgers and pizza. Not the case at all!! I had the organic vegetable salad with grilled chicken. It was outstanding and fresh. My friend had the pulled pork barbeque plate which included beans corn and veggies. OMG super delicious and pork was lean. Came over Ophir Pass at dinner time and we were starving! So thankful to come across this restaurant. Outdoor seating was perfect, heaters to stay warm, a fun dog to throw sticks to, and space for our kids to play in the dirt while we waited. Food was awesome! We got the Italian Grinder, burger, and pineapple pizza. Everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Our kids especially loved the animal-shaped fries. read more

But if you want a nice stop near the river on the way to or back from Telluride this is a great stop. Food & drink are excellent. My husband and I came through Rico on a road trip through CO. We stayed at the mine shaft inn and this was the quaint little restaurant the owners recommended. We sat at the bar and had drinks/burgers. Very casual place to relax after a long day of driving. The burgers were probably a 7/10 but the bacon wrapped jalapeños were amazing!! Driving home from a great day at Mesa Verde, bumped into Rico, never been before. Looking for some good eats for a nice little dinner. Looked like the perfect spot. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and fries, also ordered a jalapeno popper for a side. Started playing a game of pool with my friends, but the people at the bar kept bumping into us, leaning on the pool table and just being inconsiderate of our game. Our food took forever to come out and I never received the Jalapeno popper. The chicken was very burnt and hard and ranch dressing was oozing out of the sandwich making it a horrible mess. My girlfriend ordered a black bean burger with nothing on it except mushrooms. It came with everything on it. The waitress never came back to our table, never asked how everything was, we never received any refills for our drinks. We sat at our table for a very long time watching the waitress and the bar tender take shots and get drunk. We finally went to the bar, and had to push our way past the customers that were destroying our game of pool to ask for the bill. Our waitress looked over at us and just walked on by back to the kitchen and had a discussion with the cook. She continued to ignore us and I finally asked for the bill. She finally came over and I told her to make sure we weren't charged for the Jalapeno popper. She couldn't even remember me ordering one. We paid the bill and I went outside. My girlfriend had to use the restroom so I waited outside in front of the restaurant. The bar tender was pretty much passed out on a table on the patio. She was lying on it and mumbling about the end of the world or something of the sort. This place was comical, it was hands down the worst service I have ever received. We left a small tip because I don't believe in not leaving anything, but dang...they should have tipped us for having to go through this crap. Next day my stomach was cramping so bad, I felt like I was going to explode. It hurt so bad. Horrible experience, save yourself the pain and stay far, far away from The Enterprise Bar and Grill. read more

Unfortunately, I wish we could give it more stars but, we just didn't have a very good experience here. We ordered the prime rib and honestly it was cold and just plain terrible. Our waitress was much more interested in conversing with the locals at the bar than paying much attention to us. Interesting experience at the Enterprise. Went in and wandered around for a while as no one seemed to be working the tables or bar. After a while one of the people in the kitchen hollered out sit anywhere! We grabbed a couple of menus and sat. The person in the kitchen turned out to be the waiter/bartender. We started off with the Onion Rings, they were crispy and flavorful. For our entrees we had a 1/3 pound Bacon cheeseburger and the jerk pulled pork. The burger came with a few lays potato chips. I was hungry and didn't think until the burger came they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked When it arrived it was a black little hockey puck about 1/3 the size of the bun. The lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle were all fresh and the best part of the burger. There is no way that burger was even a 1/4 pound patty when it started though. The jerk pulled pork was flavorful, the corn on the cob was frozen/microwave. The sweet potato was good. 32.00 for the meal with no drinks seemed high. My advice if your on your way to Telluride, keep going and eat there, going the other way? Go to Dolores and grab some pizza at the Dolores River Brewery. If I had it to do over again there was a place doing bbq just down the street by the museum, It smelled good and the prices looked pretty good too. read more

Cool place! We stopped for a beer and fries (which were excellent) after a hike up Lizard Head Trail. Nice back deck. The highlight was when I asked for hot sauce for the fries and the chef gave me some fresh habanero salsa he had just made. Delicious! Not overly hot so you can use quite a bit to experience the fresh flavor. Got some to go too! read more
