Matt from The Views suggested we come here for dinner and it was a great suggestion. It's a small restaurant with casual seating. You go up to the bar and order your food and drink and then grab a seat to wait. There are trivial pursuit cards on the tables if you want to play a bit. But the food came out quickly and we soon had empty pizza pans. The crust was sturdy enough to hold the generous toppings and was nice and chewy. The side salad was simple but a generous portion and a nice change from the usual iceberg bagged stuff many places serve. If you are not sure what beer you want (they brew their own), you can try a few. This place is a pleasant surprise in a small town where you don't expect this kind of quality. read more

A great little brewery and pizza place in beautiful downtown Dolores Colorado. The new outside addition is very nice and includes a very large pollinators garden where you can enjoy their delicious pizzas and beers. The outdoor patio area has a large covered area for the infrequent summer rainstorms and in winter the older part of the brewery has indoor seating and the wood fired pizza oven. Your the only brewery in town that can be raking in the dough by being a brewery with lots of drunks wanting to eat while they drink and you only serve pizza on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ? WTH are these people thinking? But she can say after we waited 10 minutes for her to get off her phone is oh go across the street to the bbq tent and you can bring in their food? This place should just shut their doors like most of the other places here in town. It's no wonder Montezuma's up the road was full to its max capacity they have a huge Mexican food selection and a full bar in operation not to mention a stunning outdoor patio. Beer is good, pizza is good and ambiance very cool. My 3 stars are for the way they operate. I take off 1 star for lack of supplies... only 4 pizza doughs left and no drinks other than beer and water. I take another star for not having plates... I'm serious, no plates. Now as an adult I have zero problem with any of this and I would probably give 5 stars. BUT this place says it's good for kids, and based on my experience I would disagree with their claim. We took our kids to another establishment down the road and had a wonderful meal... with plates and even lemonade for my kids. read more

The Dolores River Brewery has a nice selection of beer; however, I wish they offered more in the way of food. They offer pizza only on the weekends; on the other days, the food is offered via a food truck. The pizza was good, but one pizza was not quite enough to satisfy the appetites of two people; two pizzas would have been too much. There is only one size of pizza, except if you count the gluten free pizza which is slightly smaller. They do have two patio areas, which are very nice for enjoying a cold brew outside on a warm summer day. read more

We ate and drank here two nights. Some of the best food and beverage in Dolores here. Order from the bar to set yourself apart from all the out of town table sit and waiters. The craft beer is excellent here, I enjoyed a few Mono Braus. A really nice 4.6 beer that wafts over the palate with amber ale tones and doesnt kick like a horse the next morning. My wife enjoyed the house Sauvignon blanc which suited her grape juice needs nicely. But the star of the show here is the pizza. Wow...thin flaky, and perfectly prepared to order crust. Freshly sliced and wood fired toppings with just right amount of cheese. Not too squishy...where the grease usually steals the limelight. Just freshly fired local pies here. We had two margarita pizzas and I enjoyed the signature DRB on our second visit. Great food, service, and atmosphere. Looks like a graft music scene too from all the framed and signed playbill art. Probably the liveliest spot in Dolores. There is a good selection of beer and the place is funky and friendly. The person in charge at the bar was very friendly and helpful. But the best asset in this brewery is the food. Kelly is the cook in the kitchen. She offers a simple daily menu with a few options. The hot chicken katsu sandwich we had was pure heaven, tasty and delicate, spicy but not too much, and incredibly refined. We loved it so much that we went to this place again the next day. The menu on Thursday has tacos, and we had a combination of vegetarian and pork tacos. And once again, our taste buds were rewarded with an exquisite symphony of taste and spice blend. Kelly's Kitchen is Dolores' best kept secret, and she deserves to be a head chef in a big metropolitan area for sure. read more

MASK NAZI, it's best to have a sign at your door nicely informing customers of your mask requirements. Rather, you waited until we got to your bar and before we could ask a question you slapped your sign and barked at us to wear masks. We informed we were there to possibly include your business in our welcome guides to our 6 Airbnb homes in the area. Only your responded with "bye-bye". Rudest response ever. We went on a Friday evening at 5:30 and were told it would be 90 minutes to get a pizza. We decided to leave and come back on Saturday right when they opened to avoid the long wait. In fact, we got there at 3:55 pm, 5 min before opening and were 3rd in line to order pizza. They told us it would be 15-30 min but 50 minutes later, we received our 2 pizzas (Seems the standard is one hour no matter when you order). We had ordered to go and when we got to the car, my son realized that they had given us the wrong pizza! We ordered the DRB pizza but were given the BLT. My son was so upset as this was not what he wanted and he said the girl taking the order did not clarify the order to make sure she had the right pizza. We just can't recommend this restaurant given the unusually long wait and the unusual system in place. My husband had to wait in line to order a drink then had to wait in line to pay out when our pizzas were finally ready. I guess if you can sit and drink beer for an hour and half without eating (they have no appetizers) then this may be the place for you. Do not come hungry. read more

Drinks were pretty good, would come back for that. DO NOT SIT ON THE BENCES NEAR THE OUTDOOR ENTRANCE! We had our dogs with us & just wanted a drink so decided to sit on the bench so we wouldn't take tables from customers with food.....huge mistake! Our shorts were ruined from the sap on the bench! Normally, I wouldn't post pizza pictures with slices missing. The problem was the pizzas smelled great and looked even better, so we had to dig in. Not our fault! My husband loved their beer, which is a huge compliment since we came here after a visit to Ska Brewing in Durango. ( Something akin to Mecca for beer lovers.) Back to the pizza. Yum!
