It was pretty good, kinda expensive. It took about 20-30 minutes for 3 pizzas smallish pizzas to cook, but it tasted good! My only problem was the crust was really hard, no one really liked it so we ended up tossing like 1 1/2 pizzas total because no one could chew the crust. Don't be fooled by the name. Aside from pizza, this place also serves early morning breakfast, which is the reason a couple of friends and I stopped here on the way to Mesa Verde. You get several typical options for breakfast that seem to change day by day. I got the french toast, which was pretty decent but nothing out of the ordinary. Combine that with a cup of tea and you have a cheap filling breakfast to start your day. Service is fast and friendly and you can watch the news while you eat. Mancos Pizza is the true definition of a small-town no frills restaurant. One of the employees told us she "ain't never been west of Cortez," which I found surprising but also comforting. Hiyo! Well needed pizza to go after a day in purgatory skiing. The fridge pizza was loaded and the slice held together through the whole piece...with a few toppling over the side if you didn't open your mouth big enough. I have been traveling the country for the past year in an RV and have tried local pizza everywhere, on top of having lived in Denver for 8 years prior to that. I consider myself a foodie so I can be quite critical. I was thrilled to learn they sell pizza by the slice here since I wasn't ready to commit to an entire pie. A pie or two was starting to look dried out and they cut them in 8 slices, but I picked one that still looked fresh with several toppings. The cheese was tasty and gooey, and the sauce has all the right seasonings to make their pizza worth the visit. We then proceeded to go back daily for the next 3 days in a row for another slice. They serve many other items too such as ribs, hot wings, chicken, salad, soup (all previous items are self-serve), ice cream, dessert bars, and hot sandwiches. We tried a couple of their hot sandwiches such as the Bacon Chicken Cheddar and the Turkey BBQ, both were excellent. We will keep visiting back here as long as we're in the area. Just don't let the looks of it fool you, very hole-in-the-wall and connected to the grocery store, but they do know what tastes right! read more

I am not a fan of a lot of sauce so I thought maybe it was just me not caring so much for the sauce but without asking my husband commented on it too, it almost tasted like straight tomatoes without seasoning at all. Absolutely one oi the best restaurants in the area....maybe even this side of the Rockies! Their homemade pizza is always amazing and extra gooey with cheese. The reason why I always had to stop here, though is the thing most unique. They actually had a Philly, but not just any philly. No, this was a turkey philly! First and only time that I ever saw one of these was here and it was freakin delicious! This place didn't look like much from the outside, but it was a great stop. We had a pizza by the slice (fresh out of the oven, lucky us), 8" cheese for the kids and salad bar. The salad bar was the best I have had in a LONG time. Everything was very fresh (perk of being connected to a grocery store?). The pizza crust was not too thin and not too thick and the sauce tasted fresh. Reminded me of a small town pizza place I worked at one summer where they made everything from scratch and hand tossed the crusts in front of you.
