This was our daughter's birthday weekend. She chose Egg Bistro for brunch today and another restaurant for dinner tonight. The menu selection is great. I am a coffeeholic and was very pleased with the smooth blend of coffee; not too strong, but just right. We wanted mimosas and was pleasantly surprised that we could try four different flavors in the mimosa flight at a price that cannot be beaten. We ordered two flights. My husband ordered his favorite anywhere; Bloody Mary. We chose mango, pineapple, peach and forbidden fruit. Mango was my favorite. I ordered waffles with soft scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns. Sadly, the eggs were cooked rather hard. I enjoyed the taste and texture of the bacon; just as I like it. The restaurant was packed, which is a good sign that the food is good and the establishment is recognized as a community favorite. Wait time to be seated was approximately forty (40) minutes, but I believe it was due to a typical Sunday crowd. Our waitress was as sweet as she could be. Considering how busy they were, it was understandable that there were a few downsides to the brunch experience. I was the only one that had coffee, and was not offered a refill. I eventually asked and she was gracious to get it immediately. The table was pretty crowded, and I felt some items such as the two empty flights could have been removed to offer more comfortable space as our plates were hanging over the edge. My fiancé and I surprisingly got lucky we didn't have to wait too long to get seated for it being a Sunday morning. Food was great. Just the right amount of portion size. The waiter was very nice and checked up on us despite it being very busy. By the time we got done the place got busier and there was a ton of people waiting. Boo thang got the firecracker omelet and I got the BLT with egg. He loved his coffee and said he wants to come back just cuz their coffee doesn't suckkkk. The Egg Bistro always makes me happy in the mornings..(especially the hungover ones!) The servers are always friendly and help each other out! Wish I remembered her name, but the very sweet blonde server was so full of energy and on top of things! I've had a few things here so what I can personally recommend is the Traditional Eggs Benedict, the Infused chocolate chip pancakes, and the corned beef hash! All great dishes! I've been wanting to try Egg Bistro for some time and it just so happens my neice invited me to brunch one morning. I jumped at the chance. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash which is not like the can, this is homemade with actual shredded corned beef and cut up potatoes. It was good. Unfortunately, and this is a testament to my uncultured tastebuds, I prefer the can. My neice orders the mimosa flight which she thoroughly enjoyed. I overheard an employee at work raving about this place. So as I was politely ear hustling I google the place. Today was the lucky day that I got to get out and try. I must say the establishment is very very busy. I was told they had a wait time of 45 mins to an hour to my surprise they actually seated me in less than 30 mins. I ordered the banana nut bread French toast. The waitress was very nice to explain the bread and what it would look like upon arrival to my table. I was very pleased with my meal. The waitress was very attentive and personable during my experience. She also recommended the strawberry lemonade mimosa for one of my flights and let's just say I will definitely order that again. Great breakfast place in Chesapeake. Was visiting for the weekend, and tried out The Egg Bistro. First, if you are a grits fan, they use stone ground grits! More texture, and enjoyable to eat than the small grind stuff most people use. I had the country eggs benedict, with hash browns. The asparagus was al dente, not soggy. The bacon bitswere just enough to bring a good taste, without overpowering everything else, as bacon tends to do. The hash browns were well cooked and crispy. Texas Petes was the hot sauce du jour, and welcome over generic Tabasco. My daughter had the Cronut French Toast, and it was just too sweet for me. This is a great breakfast spot. read more

We used to come to Egg Bistro every Saturday morning at 7am for years, until our work schedules changed. This is one of our FAVORITE restaurants in the 757 area. Our favorites: Biscuits and gravy, Waffles, Oatmeal w/ fixings, Home fries, everything is good, I have not had anything I have not liked, and I have tried several different items. The in-house made corned beef is on an entire different LEVEL - it is AMAZING and an ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of mine and my families!!! It's really hard to find a really good brunch restaurant where I have absolutely no complaints. I went with my family for Mother's Day and of course it was packed which was to be expected but the service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and let us know about the mother day special menu and how good the mimosas are...OMG she was not lying! My mother and I ordered a smorgasbord of different flavor mimosas from Apple to Peach Pear and some Tropical flavor ones that was very pleasing to my taste buds! I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat for breakfast. I haven't been here for dinner but I'll definitely come back to give it a try! P.S. Very good food and service, wait times are a bit long and because of the long wait lines people tend to steal your reservation if you are not waiting inside as this happened to us for the second time visiting out of two visits. The receptions should go outside and check with those people before she gives up a seat as both times she never came outside. Quality of food is excellent. This is just one of those places where they need more space for their patrons so we can sit and enjoy not feeling rushed so others can eat which can be a bit frustrating as people are staring into the windows at you while you eat. All in all a good place to eat and prices are comparable to village in or Denny's. read more

Wanted to take my family out for breakfast and found this place on Yelp. We got there around 9:30 and waited about 5 minutes for a table. The food was delicious. My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, they were the size of the plate and you got 2. He ate both of them and said they were excellent. I had the Sandbridge omelet and it was amazing. The flavors from the garlic, crab and shrimp, mozzarella, and hollanase sauce topped with bacon were delicious. My grandmother had their Belgian waffle and English sausage. She said that was the fluffiest waffle she has had in a long time. My mom got the French toast and enjoyed it. My dad went with the two eggs, choice of meat, and hash browns. Upon arrival the parking lot was full and parking limited. To our surprise all the car seemed to be at The Egg Bistro!!! We waited for about 20 minuets for seating in the small but not cramped restaurant. The seats were 4 to a table allowing them to serve larger parties. They also offered bar seating. I enjoyed seeing the hustle and bustle of the servers, bus boys, and wait staff. A sense of urgency increases my anticipation, most busy places have very good food and The Egg Bistro did not disappoint! The restaurant and surrounding areas were well kept and clean. When we entered we were greeted quickly in an upbeat and cheerful tone! And again when our table was ready! Every table was full and as I observed others enjoying their delicious looking food! The amazingly fun and cheerful Regina was our waitress. Regina's service was in point! She is very knowledgeable and clearly a people person. I ordered the Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with hash browns corned beef and egg. The french toast was like a Cinnabon with syrup!! Fantastic corned beef hash and the egg was scrambled perfectly! I drank a Tough Mary and it was delicious as well. My husband and best friend both ordered the Meat Lovers Omelet will her husband ordered Steak and eggs. **Update** The general manager, Stephanie had reached to find out about our experience and after speaking to her it was clear that there was simply an error due to miscommunication. She was very polite and truly wanted to understand what had happened. We were offered a refund for our meal and we ordered breakfast from there again. My mother absolutely loves the food here and for good reason. Breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend the carnitas bowl, the pork was tender and flavorful. Everyone was happy with the meal and no complaints from the rest of my family. I do recommend coming to this Egg Bistro, the food is great, they care about your experience even when you are not dining in the actual restaurant. read more

I've had this location's food before in their establishment and the food was okay. However this time, we ordered food for pickup because we were in town for the holidays. We stay 5 minutes away, so we figured out food should reasonably "hot" when we ate it. I open my food (Southwestern omelet) and I immediately noticed the disgusting, old avocado next to my omelet. There's no way that thing was fresh when it went in my container. Also, I realized I was missing side off sour cream. Luckily, I was able to add it because I already had a bit left in the fridge. As soon as I took a bite of my omelet, I couldn't finish. The omelet was chewy, chicken was dry, and there was no ounce of seasoning to be found. At this point I was definitely annoyed because the food quality was already off before eating it but my first few bites made it worse. Needless to say, I'll never order food to go from here again. If you're feeling lucky and wanna chance it,, go ahead. But you're probably better off dining in. read more

OMG! If you're in the mood for breakfast or brunch, run, do not walk, to Egg Bistro. Their menu selection is extensive. We had omelettes and they were delicious. Coffee and tea were both excellent as well. Be prepared for a wait on weekends as everyone and his dog wants to come here. However, the line moves rather quickly and they do use Resty. They also have a good children's menu and they put smiley faces on the pancakes. We came back a couple of days later for lunch. It's also good, but it isn't on the same plane as their breakfasts. This place is a great brunch restaurant if you happen to be in Chesapeake. It's decorated nicely on the inside and the staff are very friendly. We got the morning started with a mimosa flight which was amazing. We got the flavors of OJ, mango, tropical sunshine, and watermelon limeade. My favorite was the mango and good old orange juice but the others were still good. The country fried steak came out hot with extra gravy which is a plus. The sides of hash browns and eggs were good as well no complaints. The dig in skillet was plentiful and well cooked. Overall this was a good place to have brunch in the area.
