The Draft NOW charges 1.49 for a glass of water if you only order wings!!!! Yes... A $1.49! But.... if you add fries which are 4.99 for a small basket or something else the water is free!!! Dear The Draft and Joey, The only reason my aunt was there was to pick up wings for our family. She doesn't even live in this part of town. She is a 30 year veteran and a most of all a CUSTOMER who was treated poorly. The owner, Tom, was the one who started with the F bombs and hit her with the door and failed to apologize or even act like he was sorry. Our family is also from Philly and have frequented The Draft for years and never has the anyone acted so disrespectful! I live around here and will make sure all of my neighbors and friends know about this. These are tough times. Especially for restaurants so my advice would be to treat every customer, especially ones you e wronged, like gold. We came in tonight for happy hour and our server was KJ. We have been coming here for several years and the last year or so the service was not so great. The servers seemed so unhappy. Today that was not the case. KJ greeted us with a huge smile, was quick to get our order, personable and made conversation. I've come to the Draft many times now, with family or with friends. I have since grown to love their burgers and other menu items (still hate their pizza though). It's a sports bar that provides a pretty loud and obnoxious environment, which some people are looking for actually. If there is a big game or fight happening, it can get quite full inside but there are a ton of tables and the service, even on the business days, is not as bad as you might expect. Happy hour is from 4-7pm every day except Wednesday. Sundays used to be an exception also, but that has recently changed. Drafts during HH are $4...which is a fantastic price for your favorite pint (I like Latitude 33's Honey Hips). Note there is no discounted food offered during happy hour, which is fine since what they had before basically sucked anyway (chicken tacos and hot dogs). There are usually coupons for $15 for $30 certificates you can buy online if you're trying to save further...and they honor these vouchers even during happy hour. If you're craving a burger and a beer without draining your wallet, this is a fine option for those living in Oceanside. read more

First of all; I had high expectations of this place because of how crowded it always is but I don't think I'll be ordering again.... The burger I ordered was incorrect. Way undercooked. I ordered medium well almost well done and it looked medium almost medium rare. Only ate around the pink. Had to throw the rest away. The onion rings were soggy so I assume they were probably old. Bummer because I don't like Panko crumb like onion rings. I liked the way these looked in the pictures. I did however really enjoy my lemon pepper wings and honey BBQ wings. Those were delicious! 11/25/23: I just dined there tonight with my husband and few of my friends. I'm not gonna lie, I had a TERRIBLE STAY with this place. First of all, I understand with certain circumstances it's gonna be busy because it was a saturday night. He told us initially that he was going to covering several people but the time we got there and 20 minutes after a 6 top came in and he focused on them not us. My husband got the Mango Haberno wings and had to wait an extra 20 minutes. Server didn't even apologize for that. Also server never asked how our food was. I work in the food industry and that is just disrespectful. I also asked for a box never got that which we also waited another 20 minutes for our check when I clearly saw our server talk to another server. Server looked very tall and had buzz cut of short hair, very pale, also had white eyelashes. If a manager does get back to me, please understand that I never me anything mean, but this was a horrible experience that makes never wanna go back even though my husband loves you guys read more

Starving and driving on vacation after COVID can be challenging at best. We made a stop at The Draft, and is was a relief to see how the cleaning protocols are followed by the staff between clients. So, this is a sports bar with a heavenly selection of cold beers and a splendid hamburger menu. We had the the Texas and my wife had the cheese burger with sweet potatoes that were to die for; the onion rings (me) were done perfectly and served at just the right temperature. The food arrived perfectly presented along with the draft beer. Summarizing, this place is a keeper and worth taking a detour if you are traveling to Ocean Side. I am giving the Draft this rating strictly on the customer service and management. Was there with my family for wings and pizza. It was steady but not crazy busy. Took more than 10 mins for a sever to acknowledge us. Once we placed our order service was fast and the food was good. When it was time to get the check I asked our server if she could apply a digital coupon and she said "no you needed to print a copy" I read the small print and nowhere did it say to bring a hard copy which I let her know. She said let me go ask my manager. She comes back and says " sorry he said no because we have people that come with that coupon over and over again ". Poor management and explanation it's a shame that the manager didn't honor their own coupon or and talk to the customer. Tip: don't advertise something you're not willing to honor. read more

First time here and I move into the neighborhood this weekend. Stoked to find a place that has a great local welcoming vibe. The place has been here for about 15 years yet is well kept. Lots of taps on draft, extensive menu and friendly staff. The owner was very nice and welcomed me to the community. Lots of TVs to watch all the games. Ambiance caters to both adults and families. So if you are Covid conscious DO NOT EAT HERE (esp on a Friday or Sat night) because there are people EVERYWHERE not socially distanced waiting to dine. I am supportive of restaurants "peacefully protesting" during this time to save their business, but just a warning even for people picking up to-go orders. They are swamped and dine inside. I can't say anything about service or the other food, but we have picked here to-go several times within the last few weeks and we really enjoyed their Pepperoni Pizza and dry rub lemon pepper wings (get them well done!) I don't think I would order anything else on the menu, or have high expectations (a salad at a sports bar I wouldn't recommend to be good?) This place also has some pretty tasty wings, and about the only spot I know that has boneless! And they've also got a great selection of your regular beer and quality craft as well as full bar. This place can be quite pricey however, I came on Sunday and blew away $20 with only some wings a beer and some fries ($5 for fries is way too high!). This bar is very big with tons of tvs and they even have a little patio but I don't think they have tvs out there. Whenever I want to watch a game this bar is always in the running of where to go. Okay so this is a Philadelpia Eagles bar so keep that in mind if you're a Cowboys, Giants or Redskins fans. Vegetarians unite! We get the "Draft Burger" with the Beyond patty, no egg, no bacon, sub sautéed shrooms and jalapeño with the Hawaiian bun. They even have Daiya Cheeze! Freaking amazing. For friends that want to to veggie burgers they have the beyond burger which is really good as well you can make any burger a beyond. Recently we have been going for the wings. Most sauce are made there according to staff. I recommend trying sweet asian ginger although all are really good. They have a good selection of beer. Came here with a group of friends after a long weekend trip to San Diego as a stop on our way back north. Perfect place to stop for a filling meal of comfort food. They have huge portions of burgers, wings, fries, and more! Perfect for sharing! We were seated right away on a Sunday evening and greeted by a friendly host. We ordered some apps for the table to share; sweet potato fries, pretzel bites, and the fried mushrooms. I've never had fried mushrooms before and was curious and wow these did not disappoint! My friend and I have been going to The Draft every Saturday afternoon for over 8 years. The service has been good, the waitstaff is friendly and the food is good as well. My only observation is the lack of appreciation by one of the owners. He is there every Saturday, has seen us every week and not once in 8 years has he come over to say 'thanks for coming in.' I know it's not a requirement, but it seems that even a modicum of customer service awareness would dictate that he at least occasionally acknowledge regular paying customers who have literally spent thousands of dollars at his establishment. read more

I've come here twice for wings and both times left extremely satisfied. My favorite to no surprise is original buffalo.
