Pizza a solid 4- undercarriage a bit floppy, cheese, sauce and toppings above average. Service slow but only one waitress with multiple duties. Great value overall. Be aware that in just two visits, in this smallish seating area, very loud beer drinkers cussing up a storm. I saw a few diners look over to the noisy crowd a bit overwhelmed and likely irritated. I would absolutely NOT dine in with young children and/or if this behavior would offend you. Too bad because multiple tvs for the Padres games! Next time for us- takeout. read more

AGAIN!!!! I was invited to come back by the owner after a bad experience. So I walk by today and decided to go in for the lunch special, Awesome display of food!! Cool attitude from the waitress so I said u know what the rest looks good, I'll return with the wife. We called in our next order at 115pm and by 150pm our pizza slices (which are already made) were being held back waiting for our fish and chips that looked really good, it's why I came back. Butby 150pm the food was still not ready, I think they forgot to make the food. Then I asked u know what let's cancel the fish and chips and I'll just take the slices. Took an extra 8mins to get the refund. They were like u still want the food? I didn't know if they were messing with me or not so I said no. Food looks great, I just had an impatient kid with me and a cook who took 40+mins to make phone ordered fish and chips. I think I heard the hostess put in the order after she placed the slices in the box, I heard her remention my order and I asked if it was done, she said No, she was just asking the cook for the status after I had already waited for I wanna say 4 ppl to order then my order was rechecked and still not ready. We ordered delivery on DoorDash I think and I was excited about the special pizzas we got. We started take with a Hawaiian which is my husbands fav. Then we got a split special pizzas with the chorizo pizza on one side and the house special on the other. These pizzas were phenomenal. They were also great the next day. Must try pizza! The south of the border is amazing. Chorizo, jalapeño, tomato, avocado, cilantro. We usually get a mix of chicken and chorizo on it and is even better. Oscar is friendly and always remembers our names and order even if it's been awhile. Restaurant is clean and has a sports bar vibe. There are several tvs on the walls with the current NFL games. The food is really excellent. I've eaten here a few times now and I've thoroughly enjoyed the pasta dishes and salads. The customer service is also excellent. This review is specifically for the atmosphere. Of the few times I've dined in, it is so loud in there and the male patrons sit around speaking at super loud volume and cursing regularly. My nervous system felt the attack from all the vulgar talk and F bombs. The men sitting around watching sports tv and drinking beer could not care less about anybody else in the establishment. I'm really irritated with my first experience at this restaurant. I ordered the beef phillysteak sandwich online. I selected NO onions, bell peppers, lettuce, or tomatoes from their check list. I waited 35 minutes for my "ASAP" order to be ready. The sandwich was messy, greasy, & soggy immediately when pulling it out of the bag. It broke into pieces all over the place. So I took a couple bites & it's filled with mushrooms. Mushrooms is NOT listed on the description on their website when ordering. Thankfully I didn't drive all the way home. I would have had to throw it away & have no lunch. I walked back inside the restaurant & told the cashier there's no mushrooms listed on the website. She pulled my receipt with the chef, came back & told me I did not write "no mushrooms." I said it's not listed on the sandwich description so how would I know this restaurant puts that inside their sandwiches. It's annoying when employees do not listen to the words coming out of my mouth. Now I'm waiting in the parking lot an additional 10+ minutes. Update: I waited 14 minutes in the parking lot & went back inside. They didn't bother to remake the sandwich because they are "busy" right now. I waited 50 minutes & did not receive any sandwich!!!! I wish I would have visited sooner. I have lived in the area or almost 7 years. I see this place all the time. I finally had a few minutes to spare and walked in around noon. Five minutes later I was cruisin' the parking lot with a fresh hot slice of cheese pizza on a paper plate. I would say New York style is maybe larger, thinner, and some places charge $1for a cheese slice, but for $2, in North County, this is as close to the Big Apple as you are gonna' get. I've tried almost all of the North County pizza shops. This one is my favorite. The crust is perfect, the toppings are heaping with lots of cheese. They have an 18" and thats enough to feed three boys and a little lady. The service is excellent and they have never messed up an order. Plus they have a nice variety of tap beers while I wait for my order. Even on the busy times it's only a 15-20 minute wait. Highly recommend. This is my new spot. Absolutely love it! read more

I visited this pizzeria about 12 years ago based on a recommendation from my volleyball coach and really enjoyed it. I was excited to order delivery yesterday, expecting the same quality, but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. The pizza just didn't taste the same, and the specialty pizza I ordered for my daughter--who is a very picky eater--was completely off. I ordered the Buddha with added Canadian bacon for $24, but what arrived was just a super cheesy pizza with Canadian bacon thrown on top. It looked nothing like what I expected. My daughter wouldn't eat it, and honestly, neither would I--I ended up throwing it away. To make things worse, I'm still waiting on a refund. We just came from LEGOLAND and found this place on yelp. It said it closed at 10pm on Sunday. It is very small only a few places to sit. The waitress was extremely friendly. We order pizza, pesto bread, and a chicken parm sandwich. However, we didn't know they closed at 9pm and it was like 8:40pm when we got there. They were friendly enough to still make our food. The pizza was amazing. Great taste. We didn't get heartburn from the sauce. Which is a plus. The pesto bread was to die for. Even my kids loved it and they are extremely picky. And my husband could not stop raving how good the sandwich was. Even though we are not close. Anytime we go out that way. We are going to stop in. This place is a must try.
