I'm giving this place 1 star solely because of how poorly our experience was handled. We called ahead of time specifically to ask if they would be able to play a certain game, and we were told they could. When we arrived, we confirmed with the host again, and she assured us, "Yes, we have the game." We ordered drinks and a starter, only to be told 10 minutes before the game started that they actually couldn't play it. Had we known that beforehand, we absolutely would not have stayed. On top of that, our server was quite standoffish and barely checked on us. When they did come by, their tone felt rude and there was no effort to be welcoming or accommodating. The food itself was also pretty mediocre. The Surfside Bucket was a fun concept, but given that we were leaving because of the game situation, we asked if they could remove the drinks we hadn't consumed from the bill. Considering the circumstances, we felt that was a completely reasonable request, but the overall experience continued to feel unaccommodating. Mistakes happen, but confirming something with us twice and then telling us at the last minute that it wasn't possible after we had already ordered is what really ruined the experience. read more

1 star -- I would not recommend eating here. My fiancée visited The Draft in Oceanside yesterday with a friend and our two children. Both kids ate the quesadillas, and afterward they became violently ill--vomiting and having diarrhea throughout the entire night. Based on the timing and the fact that they both ate the same food and experienced the same symptoms, we strongly suspect food poisoning. Watching two children suffer all night after eating at a restaurant is completely unacceptable and extremely concerning. I'm posting this to warn other families to be very cautious about eating here, especially when ordering food for their children. We will not be returning. read more

This sports bar is poppin! Lots of locals seem to gather, have drinks, and foods. Noticed a lot of groups, including family with kids. They do have a separate arcade section with a race car game & the claw toy machine. They have really good food, and huge portions. You definitely get what you pay for. The burgers are the party. They are tall and may require utensils. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger while my husband ordered the draft burger. They have coke products (which i personally appreciate) and a full bar. Arrived to a packed house because the NFL playoffs started today. We were given a small table while we waited for the place to clear out after the first game. We were seated pretty quickly after the first game and our server came to the table. She looked worn out. Not friendly at all. But, I'm a firm believer in being nice regardless of the circumstances. She took our orders and was pretty attentive throughout our time there. It didn't look like there were enough servers working. We ordered wings, pretzel bites and pizza. The wings and pretzel bites came out in about 15 minutes. My husband enjoyed his wings. The pretzel bites were very hot, which is great, but they were the hardest pretzel bites I've ever been served. They also had a burnt taste. Would not order again. The pizza came out as ordered on a super thin crust. It was ok. The crust looked pressed and was a bit like cardboard. Not terrible but not a place to go if you're looking for great pizza. The server ended up saying she'd had a lot of trouble with customers that day and thanked us for being nice. Pretty good. I came here once with my mom like 10-15 years ago with a Groupon and see they're still having a very similar deal. My son has been here a few times and says they have great wings. To be honest, the wings did not look appealing to me at all. So I didn't try it. I did have the Caesar wrap with fries. The wrap was pretty good except it had way too much dressing. I think it would make more sense to dress the lettuce lightly as you would a salad and then putting that in the wrap. Also a few of the chicken pieces had weird hard spots but at least you can tell it's real chicken cuz sometimes when I cook I get those bits from the connective tissues or whatever. The fries were nice, the bigger cuts weren't my favorite but the thinner ones were and they definitely seem fresh cut. The ranch was exactly as you'd want it to be for a place apparently known for their wings. I would come back. Probs won't specifically suggest it but open to coming and keeping an eye out for a different Groupon not for burgers. Potato skin I would skip. Usually the service isn't that good at the draft, one reason I haven't been here in awhile. However, this time around it was different. Becky, our server was on her game! I pre-paid online and left a proper tip and our food was ready on time. I first ordered ten lemon pepper wings fried. Omggg they were so flavorful, crunchy had the perfect amount of seasoning and I demolished nearly half of mine in the car. Do you know I went back the following day to order 30 more wings. Now these wings are good and even when you reheat them in the microwave they still have the flavor. It comes with celery sticks and carrots and a very nice signature ranch dip. Now because I love this place so much. I tried the personal size pizza. It did not disappoint. I had the Philly cheese steak pizza. My husband tried the supreme. We both were satisfied. On the menu I noticed they touted their wings are never frozen. When you see this on a menu, you know it's time. These wings were so damn good. I got ten, which was plenty. I got two sauces Buffalo and Cajun. If I had one critique, which I really don't, but if my arms were twisted, I'd say they could've increased the spice-heat a little. My son had the biggest cheeseburger I've ever seen. This place is awesome on Sunday, get there early as it begins to fill at about noon. It's about time for another update since I'm at the Draft more often than I'd like to admit. Here's what's changed for me... I once raved about the French dip sandwich because of the crispy/crusty roll they used and the tender, juicy beef. Unfortunately, the rolls are now grocery store sandwich rolls and the beef was dry and extremely salty...I will not be ordering again. They have added two lunch specials which are great deals because they're served with a large house salad and a soda. When I'm at the draft for lunch I always order the wing lunch special and I have never been disappointed.
