Does nottttt live up to its name & definitely not worth the money. We ordered their bbq chicken pizza, a sausage honey burrata pizza, garlic knots, & cookies. The bill was crazy expensive, the barbecue pizza had very little chicken or sauce on it & you couldn't even bite through the onions. The burrata was better but still similar in that there was barely any sausage on it? I'm talking several slices that appeared to have none on a 12" pizza.. The garlic knots were good but the marinara was watery, almost like salsa, when we would dip the garlic knot- it would literally come out with nothing on it. The cookies were average, nothing special. But we paid a bill that would insinuate top quality artisan The lack of substance suggests they're trying to save money on more expensive ingredients, like meat, by just not putting any on the actual pizzas. Don't waste your time/money read more

Great pizzas good beers, friendly service. Bad place for a diet. Patio nice and breezy. Came to watch World Cup final - not a bad choice except they piped music instead of the game which was a weird choice as the majority here on this Sunday afternoon came for the game. Our appetizers came out 30 min after our meal, but everything was tasty. read more

We went in pretty late on a Saturday evening around 9 o'clock. They were only open for about another hour. A gentleman named Chris was at the front end was truly a refreshing guest experience. It was so kind, thoughtful, and patient with having me and my girlfriend in a seven-year-old trying to make up her mind. He made great suggestions and was very attentive. The manager should be very impressed with his team member. As good help is hard to find. Don't let this one go. Good vibe here! Love the inside outside feeling! And well the pizza lives up to its name! Love the food! Also try the sandwiches! read more

I met some friends for lunch and liked the ambiance and how open and airy this place was. First, you order at the counter. You can order by the slice and they have a variety of pizzas you can choose from (e.g. buffalo, beat white, the works, veggie, etc.). I like the fact you can try different styles of pizza and not just be limited to one kind in whole pie. They have Detroit style, gluten free, and their traditional thin crust. For lunch, I got the 2 slice and soda for about $13. The Best White and BBQ Chicken were pretty good and flavorful. The Pesto Goat Cheese and caesar salad also got a thumbs up! Overall, this place has a little bit of everything. Check out their menu and give this place a try! read more

Love the pizza and the service here! Best Pizza and Brew in Vista is one of our favorite places to sit and order some slices and a salad, or for a whole pizza to-go. Their pizza is a bit more elevated than say, Grand Slam, another one of our favorite neighborhood spots, but it's also a bit more expensive. Their crust is on the thin side and they have tons of options, including pizza with hot honey. Mmmmmm. We also like the house salad with apples, cranberries, and blue cheese, and the vinaigrette dressing is tasty. (We usually add avocado.) Hint: for our family of three, the smaller size salad is quite enough. They have a great selection of beer (and hard kombucha!) on tap, and there is always a place to sit, even if the line is long and it looks daunting on a Friday night in the Village. It's always bustling, which is a testament to the delicious pizza and fun atmosphere. The service is always friendly and attentive...I tell them every chance I get! I just wish they didn't allow smoking out on the front part of the patio. One of the best local pizza joints in North County! read more

Cute little place in downtown Vista. We ordered a couple of sliced with a beer for a really good price. The service was great and they treated us very well. Also, the outside seating is perfect, not too hot, not too cold. You can definitely bring the whole family and have a nice meal. read more

My favorite thing about best pizza and brew is that you can buy slices. That gives you the opportunity to try a few different things. They have so many options for slices. They do thin crust, which is also my favorite. But you can order different types of crust if you want on a full pizza pie. Of course, they have an excellent selection of beer. This is a good size pizza place with seating indoors and on an outdoor patio. The parking lot is a good size. There is also street parking. The prices for the slices are decent. Back up to the counter and order. They give you a number and bring it to your table. This is a relaxed, casual atmosphere. read more

Service was friendly and responsive. I liked the basil pizza best. Next time I would try it Detroit style. Burata pizza was ok, but I craved a veggie on it. House salad was fantastic and huge! Big enough for 4 people to have generous starter salad. I liked the indoor/outdoor feel here. read more

The food was lovely, everything tasted fresh and was served quickly. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. Our waitress Ella was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a great experience and would definitely come back! read more

Ordered a pizza and it arrived completely ruined. The entire underside was blackened and charred from edge to edge, with a burnt, bitter taste that made the whole pie inedible. It wasn't a light char or intentional crisp--it was thoroughly burnt through. The marinara was just as bad: extremely watered down, thin, and soupy, more like a liquid than actual sauce. It pooled on the pizza and had almost no flavor or body. Between the burnt crust and the watery sauce, the pizza was a total loss. Won't be eating here again. read more

Great place to go for food and drinks if you are in the area. The employees really make it a more enjoyable experience. Everyone from Greg, Nick, Cayman, Matt and the others make it a chill spot to go to. The pizza is top tier and of course the meatball sub is divine. If you are in the area definitely stop in and give this place a try. read more

Great food, service is terrible. Young girls at the register will sit and glare at you as you approach, huff and puff while ordering, and then proceed to do anything but help check out customers or prep orders. Took 10 minutes to be handed two slices from the case not heated up. I ask this every-time I come because this place takes forever, even when it's dead. Expect to wait upwards of 10 to 20 minutes for your to go order! When the person who I can only expect to be a lead decided to take it upon himself to get things moving, The girl literally rolled her eyes at me when I told him that I had been waiting 10 minutes for two piece pieces of pizza that I asked to not have heat it up for this very reason. You can check my account. I never leave bad reviews. This experience sucked. read more

We had salad and two pizzas, The Works. This location has a huge bar and plenty of indoor seating. They have a great energy during sports games and plenty of tvs to watch. The service was quick and kind. I also appreciated how clean this location is given how busy it can get. I would definitely recommend stopping by this location the next time you are in Vista! read more

Well came back and did pizza by the slice. This time we sat decided to do by the slice after ordering a couple and decided we wanted to sit and order also some drinks wings and a salad and make a full lunch/dinner date out of it. Oddly enough our server was the same guy who recommended it to me who I randomly met playing basketball with. He was great at his job too. I kept getting his name wrong but Elijah was great to be served by. How random is that and funny. He was totally professional and fast and great. Really love meeting people who recommend awesome local spots. This place is great for not just pick up but a new local fav to sit down too. Just wish they showed some current big games like the nba finals and I'd prob be here every game haha read more

Awesome place to go to for some pizzas and beer. We came around Saturday noon for lunch. It was a little past opening but got busy quite fast. Plenty of seating though, inside, covered patio, uncovered patio and bar seating. We got some beers, Caesar salad and the meat lovers smaller size. The beers refreshing, even got hard kombucha. The Caesar salad was fresh and good. And the meat lovers pizza was good, it wasn't salty. But the small size will only feed 2, not overly full, but just enough. There's a bigger size. They also have slices and beer deals too. Cool spot to grab some beers and eat pizza, hence the name. read more

The service here is great! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The place is very lively and they play good music. Very upbeat. There are TVs here. Usually playing sports, which is nice. The pizza is pretty good here. I like the best white pizza the best, personally. The house salad is bomb and the fries are delicious. Nice and crispy, but not hard. Reasonably priced too. They have awesome specials too and a good variety of beer, along with a full bar. read more

Honestly .. I've never had a bad experience at this restaurant or any of its chains but the Vista location is especially amazing. Andrew is the man, great customer service, hooked me and my needy ass roommate up with the sauce. Andrew is a legend

The food was super delicious but unfortunately not our service. We ordered two pizzas, two order of wings, and order of meatballs. When the server brought the food he was missing one pizza, he said I'll go check for your last pizza. 30mins past we were half way done with all our food. We kept waiting but nothing. We had to ask another server about our pizza since the other server completely forgot about it. The new server respond let me check and came back and said another 10 mins. They basically forgot to make our pizza. I didn't understand how they missed as when we came in it was not packed. Main reason was the service. read more

5/5 for Best Pizza and Brew -- easily one of the best spots for a slice in town. The pizza here is consistently great. I'm a big fan of their white pies and anything with a balsamic drizzle, and the margherita is always a safe win. The Caesar salad pairs perfectly, and the garlic knots... honestly addictive. Only downside there is you'll wish you had more--4 doesn't feel like enough for how fast they disappear. The staff is a younger, upbeat crew and always helpful when you interact with them--just a heads up, it can be tough to flag someone down when they're moving around. Best move is to go straight to the counter if you need something. The vibe is lively and modern--definitely more of a "happening" bar/restaurant energy. Plenty of seating, a great outdoor area, and a big firepit that makes it a solid hang spot. Only knock is occasional construction outside lately, but it hasn't stopped me from coming back. Value-wise, their combos are actually really solid and make for a great meal. This is one of those places I go to regularly, and it holds up every time. Best for: pretty much any occasion--just expect it to get loud during peak hours, and show up early if you want to avoid a line out the door. Compared to other artisan pizza spots around here, this one beats most. There are maybe one or two that edge it out slightly, but this is firmly in the top tier. Favorites: White pizza, margherita, balsamic drizzle pies, Caesar salad, and (of course) the garlic knots. read more

This is THE spot after a long beach day with 4 hangry kids. For a New York pizza snob (me - born and raised in the east coast), the garlic knots were to DIE for, and the pizza is especially good! When we were here, we were fortunate to experience ASL accessibility when ordering with Sophia Real. Sophia Real provided excellent customer service, she was especially wonderful with our kids and was very ASL accessible, making communication easy and comfortable. Thank you, Sophia, I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer! read more

This was the first time I had ordered a pizza from here for delivery. Requested the works with less peppers and extra sausage and mushrooms. Had very few mushrooms and the sausage was not in small chunks like other pizzas I have ordered and also sparse and no sauce. The crust was very thin, soggy and burned. I would not recommend this place for pizza. read more

Pizza is delicious. It can be crowded at times but it's worth the weight so enjoy yourself and have a good really good pizza.

This is my go-to when I'm keeping it casual in Vista. It's unpretentious, consistent, and they actually know how to handle a crust. It's the kind of spot where I can roll in after work, grab a solid local craft pour, and just decompress. It's not trying to be a five-star bistro, and that's why it works--it's just good, reliable food in a space that feels authentic to the neighborhood. Only losing a star because the weekend crowd can get a little chaotic, but the pepperoni makes up for it. read more

Been here for lunch a few times and am always happy with the food and service. The place is clean and has a nice vibe. I like the way they heat the pizza so the bottom is nice and crispy when to comes to the table. The ranch here is also fire! I like how their hot honey pizza comes in thin and thick crust. I'll be coming back again when I'm in town read more

Love Best Pizza and Brew. Didn't have the best experience tonight. Ordered a couple of their delicious Wagu bacon cheeseburgers. On a previous visit a couple of months ago, I requested medium and my burger was very well-done. It was still good, and I'm not a guy who sends his food back. Tonight I let the person at the register taking my order about last time, and to let the chef know that I would really like the burgers medium this time. Burgers arrived well done again. I mean, if that's store policy like In-N-Out is now, I get it, but let me know that. The truffle fries and regular fries that came with the other burger were fantastic as always. I wish I didn't have to go back to the register to pick up salt packets but that's not a big deal really. I let the young lady at the register know that the burgers were well done, again. . . She apologized and I just told her that it was ok. I'm not making anyone cook me a new burger. Once again, still good. Just not what I asked for. I also ordered a beer and the person at the register gave me the number placard and told me that she would bring my beer out. After seeing it set at the bar where the drinks come out for a few minutes, I just went and picked it up. The young man who brought our food seemed more interested in talking to the female employees than checking on customers, but I was 20 years old once too. We did get there kind of late and left a little after closing time. Everyone was busy checking their phones. . . We'll be back. Pizza is always great. Burgers are usually surprisingly excellent for a Pizza place too. I just wish everyone was a bit more on point. read more

Great spot with lots of choices, especially after a beach day! The food was good, but what really stood out was the amazing and friendly service from Sophia Real. She was so welcoming and made us feel comfortable right away. A huge plus for us was the accessibility--Sophia knew ASL, which meant so much to me and my family as strong ASL users. Great experience overall and we'll definitely be back! read more

We used to love this place, but after we had bugs in our food... we decided to take a break. I did contact them about it. It's been MONTHS of back and forth and they still can't figure it out. Someone named Bella Reitze was helping me. She apologized on their behalf, said she was going to send me a gift card in the mail, asked for my address, and said she would issue a refund for that meal. Not one of those things happened. Even after giving her all the information she needed. Never received anything in the mail... never received a refund. We really truly loved this place, but their service and professionalism lack big time. read more
