I stopped by Weir Beer in Vista for the first time for a comedy show, and I had so much fun! I'm obsessed with the 90s nostalgia theme here. From the decor to the music to the fun drink names, they really commit to it, and I love it. It's a small space, but they make good use of it with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has a sandy, beachy feel that I really liked. The parking lot is small and was completely full when we arrived, but street parking was easy to find nearby. They have beers and hard seltzers on the menu, and they also bring in rotating food trucks. There was a pizza truck while we were there. We had already eaten, but it smelled AMAZING! The comedy show was such a fun time, and I love that they host themed nights and other events. I'll definitely be back for more. I also love that it's locally owned by a husband-and-wife team. I like the nostalgia vibes here. They have seating indoor and outdoor. There is a large selection on tap so you should be able to find something you like. They had a particular food vendor that was making kabobs and they were delicious. Not sure if they have A/C but it was a bit hot inside the day we were there. read more

An overdue review for Weir Beer! This place has such a cool, nostalgic vibe. it's like a mix of "cute" and "90s quirky" all at once. The outdoor space was perfect for the event I attended. I ordered a glass of the "Let's Get Tropical" blonde ale and absolutely loved it. The server was so friendly and helpful that I even grabbed a 6-pack of the "quit playing games with my hops" to take home. They had a taco truck out back, but since they were sold out of tacos, I tried the smash burger instead. It was delicious! (Note: I think the food truck is separate from the brewery, but definitely a great addition). Highly recommend checking this spot out in Vista! read more

We have really enjoyed our visits and the brews at Weir Beer. They offer a good selection of hoppy, lagers, and hard seltzers to please everyone. Great brewery, and great selection of beers and seltzers. I had a coffee stout and jalapeno lager that were very good and refreshing. They have a large space to accommodate large groups and parties. The staff were friendly, they were helpful explaining the menu. We will be back for sure. read more

They've definitely got a 90's, Nickelodeon thing going on here and I don't hate it. The tap list consists of about 30 options. Half are seltzers, a quarter are hoppy beers and the remaining quarter is sort of a grab bag or dark beer, malty stuff and whatever is leftover. The high notes for me are the root beer seltzer, and the margarita seltzer. Beers weren't bad by any means, I just found myself digging the seltzer more. Maybe it was the green slime splatter shaped flight holder that made me long for something close to soda? Who knows. All in all Weir makes quality drinks, they have friendly service and the place is sizable with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I just hope I don't get slimed. read more

Really low key brewery with a barn and country feel. Don't discount the shiny discount ball here nor skip on the sparkling tap water here. As for the beers I came on a day of what seems like 50 percent ipa , 40 percent seltzers, and I got the new black lager (was good, but light body) and a porter. $8 each good size pours. It's a larger space here, bigger than most office spaces. I believe it's the owner behind the counter. Would love to see more breweries styles here. read more

Three of us were brewery hopping on super bowl Sunday and landed here for the end of the day. There were a lot of people there but still lots of space, we sat at the awesome ginormous concrete bar. There was a great variety of beers, including some cocktail inspired seltzers, which I thought was super cool and yummy! Weir Beer is super chill! It's very 90's esque with a relaxed vibe. My friends and I came here for a Friday the 13th event and it was super cool. The beers on tap are tasty and they offer a good variety. I tend to lean towards stouts or lighter beers, both were awesome here! The owners are pretty chill and the overall staff is very welcoming. Parking is mostly street parking and can get a little crowded. We will definitely be back for more. read more

We've been here twice since the new WEIRd :-) owners took over the Helia brewery. We enjoyed our time there both times. Our first time they had Oishi Sushi Fusion pop up and the second time there they had Meches Fish tacos. I love when breweries have food and that's a big determining factor in weir |where| I choose to go. The owners are a married couple and are very personable. Our second visit we even met a nice family member of theirs. So it has a very family forward vibe here . Dogs are allowed too. I can't remember if this is an only 21 and up venue or if younger is allowed in too but on our first visit the event they had was only for the 21 and up crowd. I'm sure that's an easy thing to find out though. Speaking of dogs we have gravitated to the non hoppy brews. I double dog dare ya to try a brew. They have a lot cool seltzer options if that's your thing. Give them a visit if you're ever in the business park area! Super nice and spacious venue. We'll be back! Weir Beer was excellent. The facility is laid out really well and in a fun way. The outside is perfect to have a flight and just hang out. Beer was really good. Just moved to Vista about two weeks ago and the first thing I did was yelp and see where I could find some cool breweries stumbled upon this place with my future fiancé as we are beer, lovers and seltzer lovers. We were greeted at the door with a kind and wonderful smile from the person working behind the bar. It had a cool 90s five with some of the best beers and hard seltzers I can ever ask for it seems like they have local food trucks almost every day and a lot of things going on Cool 90s games which you can play while you're sitting there! Very pleasantly surprised to find several exceptional beer available at this newest north county brewery. Very good west coast IPA, west coast pilsner as well. But the star of the show for me wast Weirs jalapeno lager. Made with fresh jalapeno added after the Brew process making it very fresh yet not hot as many pepper beers are. Beautiful patio with amazing mural artwork throughout. Large firing to stay warm in the patio area. Nice elevated stage for live music. It runs until 2:00 this Brewery has a section for food trucks to back into right outside their roll-up door so you don't have to leave and walk out in the parking lot to get snacks or food. Smart !
