We came to watch the Fifa26 Mexico vs Korea. They definitely have a lot of screen to watch the game. Small little fun arcade was part of the restaurant. Reminds me a mini Dave and Buster type but more chill and vibes. Definitely a place to hang out with your friends and co workers. We ordered two drinks: sparkling paloma and prickly pear margarita. It's definitely not out favorite and it just taste alcohol or too diluted . We drank it just to drink it. For food we ordered chips and guacamole, truffle fries, buffalo hot wings, Brussels sprouts and a classic burger with a beer. Overall, food is decent in your typical American sport bar food. If k have to pick my favorites out of the stuff we ordered, would be the truffle fries. Even with happy hours pricing.. we spent about $120 on appetizers , two drinks and two beers. I want to start by saying that for whatever my opinion matters (and it should matter very little), this is just how I came away feeling about this place. Because Draft Republic is a rough place to quantify. The food is pretty good; if going off that alone, this place would easily be four stars in my eyes. But, it's not ... Draft Republic is trying to be a bit closer to like a mini Dave & Buster's (a place I have come pretty close to loathing). With an arcade, a bowling alley, a golfing simulator, a full bar, pretty extensive menu, good music, and a fantastic staff, they really have a lot going for them with a little something to make anyone happy. My own issue deals solely with the cost. Came here with my son, all we did was eat two entrees and an appetizer between us, and did nothing else. With drink and after tax and tip, the cost was well over $90. No games, no play, just burgers (plus fries and poke tacos) for two, costs as much as many Californian's net after a full day of work. When you're used to feeding the whole family for about half as much when going out (or a little more when eating sushi), that price was a bit rough. Still, the food is very good. My son and I each ate The Draft Republic Burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, very flavorful, and the toppings were high quality. The fries were crisp and salted well. And the side salad wasn't too bad. Both of us ate our entrees and gave it high marks. We had started with the Tres Poke Tacos, where the Tuna was very tasty, steeped in a flavorful marinade, and felt nice and fresh. Definitely a good starter. And the restaurant itself is gorgeous. A lot of space, beautifully furnished, kind of industrial meets art deco with some new age greenery architecture thrown in. I like it a lot. But, as an aging Gen-X'er, who used to go to arcades back in the day, and hates what new arcades have become, the amenities are under appreciated by me. Sat at the bar on a Tuesday evening (it was dead in there, 7 people max sitting at the bar, INCLUDING us) and it took probably 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by one of the TWO bartenders working. When we finally were greeted, the interaction was shallow and brief. All we asked for was a couple small plates and one beer and then asked if they could throw on the hockey game since there were 6 TV screens going. The bartender said he'll see what he can do and nothing else after that. Food and beer came out so by that time we just propped our phone up to stream the game online, then had to grab our own silverware and napkins from a nearby table. Meanwhile the bartender was chatting and laughing with coworkers on the end. Again, they didn't even look understaffed but service was nearly nonexistent. Finally we asked for the check and left. Came in on a Thursday right as they opened and got to enjoy some great happy hour specials. 4-6 Monday - Friday have deals for food and drinks but the standout to me was the draft burger. Not a smaller portion on happy hour- still came with fries, side salad, and a beer for only $20. We ended up getting too much food so we could enjoy the beers without having any empty stomachs. Everything was fresh and delicious- nothing tasted like it had been frozen or out of a bag. The staff is all very attentive and friendly. General manager was walking around helping and checking in with everyone too. Everything was very clean except for one spot we saw, on the back side of the hostess stand. Four of us went to have dinner and watch the World Cup Norway vs England match. Though it was already pretty packed, so we had to wait (played Foosball with some other people waiting for a table, it's a huge table, which was fun and made the wait time fly by). Even so, got seated across from the bar at a high top table, where we could watch the match on a four-screen display. The food was passably good, I think because we got the GF versions (I'm the one with gluten issues) they weren't as good as they'd normally be. For example, the fries aren't as crisp without the coating. So if you don't need to be gluten free, you'll probably have a better experience. We spent a lovely evening by the outdoor fire pits and the atmosphere was perfect. Pro Tip: Use the QR code at the table! It makes group dining seamless since everyone can order and pay for their own tab instantly. Food Highlight: I had the Surf & Turf quesadilla (brisket and shrimp), which was seasoned perfectly. Everything we ordered--from the appetizers to the main dishes, and even the kids' pizza and onion rings--was poor quality and lacked flavor. Honestly, almost nothing was enjoyable to eat. It's hard to understand how even simple items like onion rings and a kids' pizza could turn out so badly. I'm not sure what's going on in the kitchen, but something has clearly changed. The food was nowhere near this bad a year ago. Management really needs to take a step back, review the menu, and address how the food is being prepared. Unfortunately, I don't plan on coming back anytime soon unless they make significant improvements to both the menu and the quality of the cooking. read more

Stumbled in to explore and just have a beer after visiting the nearby non-farmer's market. Great ambiance in a huge space with a brewery, bowling alley w/bar, arcade, and private party room. My boyfriend has eaten here before and loved it but we were not able to go last night due to the parking lot being under construction, so we would've had to parked and walked rather far which I am incapable of walking far so we had to turn around and leave. I've been to Draft Republic a handful of times and have always had a good experience. It's a large location with a lot of outdoor room, a game area (for kiddos), a small bowling alley, some regular seating as well as a good bar area. The staff have been good too. It's really cool that Tarantula Hill Brewing makes beer there as well (Liquid Candy is my go-to for a New England IPA/Hazy). They have a pretty good happy hour as well. I love their Soft Pretzel sticks, the Bo-beau's Crispy Brussels Sprouts and the Sausage Sampler for appetizers (not all at once!) The pizzas, burgers and salads are also good. Depending on the time of day, there can be a lot of children around, so that's something to keep in mind. For a good place for groups, with beer, appetizers and food, this is the place. read more

Just wanted to write this review to say a BIG THANK YOU to Draft Republic in SM for having a speakeasy pop-up for the movie, Wicked. I'm a huge Wicked fan and was excited to see this event advertised on Yelp. This restaurant was the only one in North County I can think of that acknowledged the movie when it was about to be in theaters. First of all, it was easy to get to based on my GPS but kind of challenging to find their parking lot. I ended up finding a 2-hour parking on N. City Drive which was in walking distance. Inside, the hostesses verbally instructed me where to go...came across bowling...arcade games...sports on tvs on my way. Behind the curtains, I entered the room in awe. Draft Republic really went ALL OUT!! The Wicked witchy vibe was sooo magical. I loved the beautifuuul Elphaba/Glinda decorations, cleverly creative themed menu option names, actual movie playing in the background, and the take-home momentos. Nick and staff were super wickedly friendly too. The Wicked Bites, Grimmerie Shots and Wickedest Cocktails were all FANTASTIC!!! I definitely tasted Draft Republic's wickedness. We heard about a wicked pop up at this location and wanted to check it out. It was really cute. They really put in effort to decorate and even was playing the movie. Just left Draft Republic, and while the food and arcade were totally fine, the service absolutely tanked the experience. Our waitress was easily the biggest frustration of the night. She acted like she had somewhere better to be every time she came to the table. Instead of offering suggestions or helping us decide, she just stood there staring at us like we were wasting her time.
